Howling Winds of Denial
[ Ambiance ]
Covenants... Truces...
Allegiances and Alliances...
Tumblr media
The transcendent frost colossus needed none of them and for every representative that dared touch his icy kingdom; they were left as chilled reminders for those that sought to tread afterward. Sparkles of frozen molecules glistened off the torn limbs and stretches of rimed flesh that lined the perimeter of his arctic empire.
Much of his era was spent in suspended hibernation, but the time had come. His slumber had became disturbed once again...
The macabre and soul-speckled runeblade buried into the permafrost between his feet was ripped forth with violent intention. The groaning of bone and platemail resounded his discontent as the legendary behemoth rose from his polar throne.
A face split between what was once the heroic features of a blood knight master and the damnable state of necromancy that carved up his being now pulsed with the sight of azure carnage. Strands of matted black and crimson-stained globules draped over the expansive shoulders. On top of it all the bone crown wrapped with dead thorns marked his rank of king among the abominations and creations around his decayed land.
He now marched forth with the tip of his old weapon cutting up the ground beneath. The ominous echo of its hunger resonating like a starving beast on the hunt. A glacial drop in temperature enacted quickly around his proximity causing the atmosphere to formulate snowflakes and specks of frost that announced his arrival. His remorseless winter had begun and with such a hypothermic presence nothing living or breathing managed to survive.
He had grown irritated with their provocations, their trespassing, and consistent disrespect of his presence. No more would he tolerate the Covenants. He was not of the Horde. He was not of the Alliance. Their wars were not his own. He had defied Old Gods and Titans, shattered Cults and Factions, and broken the wills and bodies of thousands more.
Now, he has the constant whisperings of 'death should never be chained' reverberating like a mad hymn to join the cause. His gauntlet clenched against the pommel of his great blade. He was no one's puppet and so he stood at the edge of his kingdom with a challenge poised to the source.

Top five melee combatants? Top five ranged? (Magic or otherwise; PC or NPC.)
{Top 5 melee combatants in Safrona’s eyes that I count her ICly having specific knowledge or experience with.}
 “I’m not exactly a duelist here…but I’ll see what I can give you…”
1. “Argus, the Unmaker. A weapon, to unmake the world. There is no contest, really, no real defense. Fighting something like that was inevitably becoming a sacrifice. All that you could do against the Unmaker is plan your own death accordingly.”
2. “The Juggernaut of the Ghostlands. I assume you are familiar, given what grounds you seem to haunt yourself the most, yes? I…may have been caught in an unfortunate misunderstanding with him in the past. One that I’m not wishing to face again.” { @tursidhion-felomelorn }
3. “The Spellblade…something-or-other in the Nighthold I remember kept up quite the fight. An elite guardian, and her breaking against magic-users specifically was very impressive. The Nightborne do boast some of the most skilled fighters this world has seen, and I can only imagine their spellblades and such have taught a Blood Knight a trick or two.”
4. “A druid has grown unexpectedly friendly toward me, and I could count him to be a ferocious, animalistic fighter when driven to be. I certainly wouldn’t want to make an enemy of him.” { @asharinhun }
5. “And the fifth spot goes to anyone with martial prowess really. I don’t have any more specific names to give you.”
Top Five Ranged.
1. “The Loa of Death, Bwonsamdi. It isn’t exactly smart to challenge a death god that can release you from the flesh in a dozen ways with just a glance. Some would say it isn’t wise to make a deal with him either, but some souls are driven to their desperations.”
2. “Elisande. Yes, the one that sold her entire city and people to the Legion for power. Annoyingly difficult. People will like to tell you that Fel magic is a cheat to power. You face off against a damn chronomancer and tell me who the cheat is.”
3. “The Devourer of Souls within the Icecrown Citadel before its eventual culling was an infamously maddening experience. It was a little difficult to understand how to go about defeating the thing without succumbing to the temptations it set upon you and make yourself a ripe little soul to take itself. It was one of the last entities to be scoured from the citadel…unless it is actually still there, feeding off the occasional scavenger that doesn’t know what its walking into.”
4. “There was a…Faceless general that was intimidating for the fact that it would eventually mind control your entire group and attempt to isolate you in the same moment by making you fight spectres of your own people. Difficult if you have any reservations about betrayal.”
5. “And I’ll mention a Nethermancer friend of mine that always had a handle on his magics, and some surprises to boot. Gave me a run for my gold a few times when he lost his temper. Another I would not enjoy making an enemy of.” { @nixalegos }

Send 😘 for my muse’s honest opinion about your muse: Safrona and Tursidhion, lol
As A Person: “A legend of the Ghostlands. A Knight and Guardian in life and a twisted version of the same in Undeath. He was not an entity most wanted to find themselves face to face with.”
Level of attractiveness:  “The only people that are attracted to walking death machines are those looking to die themselves, those that actually try to find the romance in Necromancy’, or other soulless machines. And I am none of those.”
…but there was a time the chivalric man who died in him so long ago may have drawn the eye. The Courier thought silently to herself. No one needed to know that.
What they like the most:“His level of devotion was…admirable. In a twisted way.”
What annoys them the most:“I don’t like being a target.”
What they’d do if they were locked in a closet together for 4 hours:“….no. I don’t think we’re going there.”
Overall opinion:“I think his legend has faded to stories little elf children tell to try and frighten each other.”
The smile tightened at the Courier’s lips, corking in further thoughts . And yet he bleeds still into my dreams sometimes, turns them to nightmares. I’d be fine never hearing the crackle of ice on his blade again.
Rating: “A cup of icy death. Too many ice shards. Not worth a sip. ”

Ask me my "TOP 5" anything! : villains !
1. “Myself, likely,” Safrona breathed out quietly against the opening of her flask , lips barely touching its chilled metal as she held the question in her mind. The wry smile captured her mouth, tugging at a corner as she’d continue. “Some days I’m my own worst enemy, yes. Not so easy to defeat either.” A chuckle. “I never really go away.”
2. “The Old Gods, and associations…which by that margin I know they’ve had their tendrils in much of what’s tried to corrupt or destroy what we’re all trying to exist in.” Fingers slid through burgundy strands to scrape upward against the side of her scalp.” But more threatening for all we don’t know, and all our minds might not be able to withstand without going mad.”
3. The Courier sifts her fingers down and out through her long spirals of hair, settling it back down to gather on her shoulder. “The Legion. Yes, Sargaras left us all with a lovely parting gift in Silithus, but specifically Tichondrius the Darkener was my…personal obstacle. The only reason I don’t give him a higher spot on my list of ‘bad’ is because the Lord of the Nathrezim is no longer an immediate threat.”
4. “People that bottle pisswater and attempt to pass it as premium alcohol and hike its price to be more than its worth.” Another sip of her favorite bourbon was taken pointedly. “ It’s an evil that has to be stopped, always.”
5. “…a haunt of the Ghostlands.” Safrona murmured, her minds slipping to places she didn’t quite wish to visit again, particularly over the memory of a chill so cold it burned and the long, anxious drag of a soul-soaked blade meant for her damning demise. “And a reason over many other haunts that I never stay long if I’m made to wander that way.”

Send me a 😍 and i’ll find a picture of your muse’s face claim that i really like: Pyramid Head/Colin Farrell for Tursidhion, :]
There were few and far between photographs of the creature known as the Dark Beast of the Ghostlands, an entity that would hardly suffer the invasiveness of a photographer without the sacrifice of perhaps a limb. “…why…are you bringing me these?” The demoness shrugged as blurry picture after blurry picture were flipped through, a dozen sent to her address, like some evil omen preluding his march to the human’s city for her.
She hadn’t had a nightmare of him in at least a month. Mind perhaps leaked of him. He was done with her. Forgot her transgression. Forgot where she belonged.
The parchment unraveled in her hands however next, and despite all need to she could not tear her eyes from the detail drawn by an obsessed mind, down to the wounds of his cold flesh.
She would never say the delivered art was something she wanted, or kept as a favorite, but like a tram wreck, she just…could not pull her eyes away from every tortuous detail.

Send me “ § “ and I’ll create a quote about your character from my muse. -- Tursidhion
“He paved the cobbled road to her heart by hand, and upon discovering she lacked one entirely, carved out his own and left it there, crushing every stone underfoot as he walked away.”
