Possibly one of my favorite shots of Tony...for reasons 👀
Coming back with this
On the bright side of scandal goes down the drain, this picture gives those two a very promising spot on DWTS

UPDATE! Chapter 4 posted in two parts. I’m sure there’s a trick to get FF.net to upload longer chapters, or maybe a glitch was happening, but it wouldn’t format all 6500 words at one time. I didn’t feel like fighting with it so you have a 4A and a 4B to read :-)

I. Love. This. As always, Tony gets it:
I think it [the abortion] would be, next to the death of his son, the most gutting news he could get and frankly I don’t know how he’d recover from that. I can only assume he would because of his irrational love for Olivia. But the combination of the fact that Fitz’s fondest dream in life would be to have a child with Olivia — as he put it in Vermont. But that dream shattered is part one, and part two is the colossal lie and betrayal and withholding of that terrible truth that Olivia didn’t tell him. At the end of the day, it’s her body and her right, but it’s his child.
I think Olivia is lying to herself. She has that thing where when you run away from a commitment or obligation, there’s that initial sense of, “I’m free! I can do what ever I want!” Fitz may have been replaced by a couch (Laughs.) but the couch is an inanimate object — it’s a nice couch, and the couch isn’t going to make a lot of demands on Olivia. But there’s going to be a tremendous backlash — I’m not saying this out of any knowledge of the story, but about life — when Olivia has to look in the mirror and realizes that she’s pushed away everybody who is close to her life and the man she does love.
What would have happened if Olivia had said to Fitz, “I’m pregnant?” His face would have lit up in a smile and it would be the greatest joy in his life and he’d have embraced her and said, “Oh my God, we’re going to start a whole new life together, isn’t that fantastic?!” She couldn’t have that conversation because to her, that’s terror and a ball and chain. I feel like she disassociated from it. To me, that’s what was so disturbing about that abortion scene: it was so mundane. She went in and did it with no emotion. Boom. It was as if she didn’t connect with it at all. It just happened.

“You liked me unavailable...”
And that right there to me is the death toll for Olitz. Not the lies, or the betrayals, but the fact that Olivia doesn’t want Fitz–not all of him at least.
You can forgive someone for betraying you, and you can look the other way when they lie but when somebody doesn’t want you, the real you? There’s not coming back from that IMO.
Olivia has not interest in being Fitz’s First Lady. She has no interest in being his wife or the mother of his children. That is not what she wants from him. She doesn’t want a white picket fence, or jam in Vermont. She wanted a part of Fitz when it was convenient for her and that’s pretty much it.
The way Shonda (and the writers) broke down Olitz was something of a master piece. I know some people are acting all shocked and surprised that this is happening but Shonda has been planting these seeds since Season 1. Olivia always ran because Fitz wasn’t what she wanted. She ALWAYS ran. This is not brand new information. The only difference now is that Fitz effectively caged her in almost every imaginable way until she had her back against the wall. At the point she was getting free by any means necessary, first by releasing her father (and removing the need for a wedding), then by the abortion, and finally by breaking things off with Fitz and leaving the White House.
I guess there is always a chance that Olitz could happen down the line, but seriously, why would either one of them want it? Every suggestion that Fitz ever had for them (marriage, babies, house in Vermont) Olivia shut them down decisively. She doesn’t want it. The question is though, does she simply not want that life or does she just not want it with Fitz?

I know a man wrote that abortion scene in Scandal
stayingwoke:
1. Ain’t no woman who has had an abortion jumping up and running in high heels around 2 hrs later….
2. Ain’t no woman who has an abortion, drinking no liquor (unless she’s an alcoholic) because I’m sure the medication you get with an surgical procedure. Drinking is a no no. Hell I had my teeth removed for an implant and they told me NOT to drink and I was only taking Ibuprofen and antibiotics.
3. Ain’t no woman who just had an abortion would had time to go order a sofa and wait for it to be delivered. Nope.
4. Ain’t no woman who just had an abortion snuggled up on a sofa looking serene, even if she ain’t there emotionally, her lower body is fucked up. Her ass would be in her bed.
There is something rotten in Shondaland. The misogyny towards the black lead has reached an all time high yet folks will defend Shonda to their dying breath. If a white man was the executive producer we would have picketed ABC years ago.
ALL OF THIS !

While this is perfectly said, I don't want it to be... 😢😫 Adding Adele just killed me tho
I think I can finally watch Scandal without emotion. Shonda was never going to keep Olitz together, so now if I watch I won't feel anything. At least she didn't kill Fitz.
Look all I have to say is
It was a nice 4.5 years of my life. I enjoyed my idiot, dumbass baes while that lasted and while I am absolutely positive they could have been more and gone further, I’m…ok. Olitz will always have a place in my heart. I wish they could have killed Rowan as a parting gift at least but hey. Best wishes to Olivia and Fitz in their futures (Just don’t go back to Jake or Mellie please. Go forward, not backward). Be kind to yourselves. Drink less in general please.
Listen to the Queen, Adele, please:
