Gray Wolf (Canis lupus)
Habitat & Distribution
The gray wolf is present throughout North America, Europe, and Asia
They can survive in many habitats, including evergreen and deciduous forests, arctic tundra, grasslands, wetlands, deserts, and mountain ranges
Physical Description
Weight: 40 kg (88 lb) on average
Height at shoulder: 80–85 cm (31–33 in)
Most wolves are gray, but there is wide variation in coat colouring; many individuals are black, white, gold, or red
The coat is thick and fluffy, especially in the northern part of their range
Behaviour
Wolves are predators, and regularly take down large animals like deer, caribou, boar, and moose
They typically live in packs with highly complex social dynamics; a pack can have anywhere from 5 to 42 members
Packs can be highly territorial, and fights between packs are a common cause of mortality
Key Advantages
Gray wolves have powerful jaws, long teeth, and sharp claws which can cause serious damage
Individuals can run up to 61 kph (38 mph) in short bursts

Pokemon headcanon that once Absol are studied and people realize they prevent disasters instead of causing them, particularly dangerous workplaces get themselves a workplace Absol and it also decreases accidents.
Construction sites and fishing ships and factories will have one that pretty much just lazes about until it just gets up howling one day and knocks a dude down. They almost never figure out what would have happened but they're always like "yes absol thank you absol I am so grateful to be on the floor right now. Can I offer you a treat in this trying time"

enough reclaiming slurs, I think in 2023 we should reclaim nascar. they banned the confederate flag on all properties & their stance on lgbtq+ isn’t just performative bc in 2013 they fined a driver 10k for using a homophobic slur, condemned indiana in a statement for an anti lgbt law, and partnered w carolina’s lgbt+ chamber of conference in 2022. nascar was founded by anti-cop moonshiners/bootleggers who drove suped-up fords to out-run the police. #yaaascar
