So that was likely the name she decided on. It was interesting for him to see what names they picked to call him. “I am sorry for your lack of friends growing up. But I wouldn’t let it worry you. The Dreaming always welcomes. I encourage exploring.” He smiled for a moment. Dream had never been amazing with people. He rarely walked among them during the day. Kept to himself. He was closed off, blunt and just not that pleasant. Though he was getting better. “So a vivid imagination?” He was very intrigued. Those with vivid imaginations often dreamed the strongest and were the most receptive to his dreams. Unfortunately also his nightmares. “It is not. But it is just what I do. Never really thought about enjoying it or not. It’s just part of me.” He did feel a bit of the bite of his job when he had been imprisoned and trying to set things right.

Keyleth had never thought of exploring her dreams as if they were as real as the waking world she ventured around.  “Yeah, I have this whole world in my head.” She tapped the side of her temple.  “One where I can shift into powerful elementals and beasts and do good.. or at least try to do good.” She admitted, “Being good is never easy, if it was this world would be a lot better then what it is.” She did believe in good, but she knew good and evil weren’t the default.  People just simply existed and had to make the active choice one way or another.  It was how people seemed to just exist without really making a change.  “Well at least you are good at it, sometimes we aren’t free to do what we love but free to do what we know.” She couldn’t imagine having a single job placed upon her.  A job like his seemed equal parts burden and duty, one that was necessary but not always enjoyable.

his head was spinning, it was one of those days, one of those days where every bad memory came back to haunt him, the time on umbara, rishi moon, the citadel, every mission he’d been on where he’d lost brothers and even his own death haunted him on those days - he had been trapped in his apartment for almost a week, he’d refused to leave after his first week here, but now he had to, he was running low on everything that he needed - how he wished for rations at this point. he had been in this new world for almost 3 weeks, everything was strange, but he could find similarities within different things, but nothing was like home - like being with his brothers or his jedi general or commander. at the sight of a familiar face, fives blinked a few times, breaking himself from his own turbulent thoughts - it was rex, his vod. “rex!” he didn’t care that there was anyone in front of them, he pushed them out of the way so he could reach rex and the second he found him, he wrapped his arms around the other in a tight hug, not saying anything. 

Rex barely had time to process before his brother wrapped his arms around him.  A voice from his not so distant past.  A voice he had failed to save.  A brother whose blood was as good on his hands as if he pulled the trigger himself.  He was Fives Captain, he had recruited Fives into the 501st himself.  He set him on the path that would eventually lead to his death, a death that still hung freshly on his face.  “Fives.” He spoke in disbelief holding his brother close, a single tear escaping past the façade of his strength.  He felt words choke in his throat.  Fives death was the catalyst that saved his life and the life of Clone Force 99.  He might not have saved everyone but he gave them a chance.  A chance that Rex had never considered wasting, a chance that Fives had deserved.  If only they had believed them then, perhaps he could have saved them all.  “Welcome Back Brother.” He spoke clearly,  “When did you get here?” He questioned, unsure of where he had been taken from.  If Rex was meeting friends who he had yet to meet yet in his own time, perhaps Fives had been spared the horrors of his last moments.

“hm that is correct. -I’d suppose i’m just not use to any acts of kindness, but if you’re offering.” he continued; taking the flower offered, “i’m not too sure how true that’ll hold, i don’t want to give you false hope; that i’m a fresh nice face.. -i think i’m far from.” he still fought her positive beliefs; not too sure of what he thought of himself, truly.

Keyleth shrugged her shoulders light.  “Perhaps you are just too hard of a judge on yourself.” Keyleth didn’t believe anyone was truly all bad, except in special case exceptions.  It was her optimism that motivated her through life.

“Yeah, I just wish to have some actual time to myself.. I’m starting to forget i’m supposed to have a life outside of this place.” When Piper finally had enough saved to open her own restaurant. She was going to make sure it was a great place for both customer and employee.  A nice family restaurant.  “I never wanted to be a workaholic.. sadly it looks like what I’m becoming.”

She smiled as she took the paper from her, holding it with all her might. She struggled to make friends in this world and to have someone initiate this friendship meant a lot to her. “I’m Viserion, by the way,” she quickly said, “would you possibly want to grab a bite to eat?”

“Nice to meet you Viserion.” She held her hand out to the other.  “Piper Mclean.  Nice to meet you.” She smiled, “And I’d love too, have you had anything from a food truck around here?”

“In a wardrobe? How’d they get the light they need?” Lily asked, curiously. She’d never been able to commit to a full garden, but she did like the idea. “If you’re up for the work I wouldn’t mind setting one up here. My place has too much space for one person, so I might as well put it to good work.” Lily nodded. It seemed more like emotional advice than practical, but she kept that to herself. “I’ve done pretty well with smaller potted plants, so I think I could manage it, it’s just the set up that’s difficult.” 

“Growing lights, I had two strategically placed to simulate the sun.” Keyleth explained,  “It was like a simulated green house environment.” Keyleth couldn’t help the excitement that grew in her voice at the offer from the other.  “Oh I totally can!!! Do you have a budget cause there are like different tiers we can work with here.” Keyleth clasped her hands together as she begun to look over the space, gears already turning in her head.

Faith gasped. Wow, this woman was absolutely amazing. She had the best ideas, and seemed to have the environment and everyone in mind. She clearly wanted to make a difference in this world, and that was something they needed. “Whoa. You’re going to do great things, I just know it. I really hope you get to work with the president. You’d be very valuable to her I believe. Wow, just wow!” She nods. She gets nervous about if she would be a good therapist because of what she’s been through. “I hope I can make a difference. Even if it’s in just one person, I’ve helped them, and that’s what matters. I’m Faith by the way! Nice to meet you!”

“I hope so.. I just gotta graduate first and grad school is killer.” She grumbled with a sigh.  C’s get degrees in undergrad but she needed to be near perfect in grad school and she wasn’t sure if she could do it.  “That right there is why you’ll be great.  You just want to help and I feel like the world is lacking those types of people now.”

“That’s definitely for the best. Cerberus is fun but beyond that there isn’t much of interest.” He said easily. “Aphrodite, that’s wonderful! She’s helped me out before. Hades and Persephone are my parents however, my existence isn’t well known among the gods since I’ve been in the underworld almost all of my life.” And he wasn’t sure if he could even consider himself a god given the way he bled red and could very nearly die just like a human. They were questions for his mother, if he got the chance to see her again. 

“Nico and Hazel... your half siblings...  friends of mine talks highly of Cerberus.” Piper stated with a nod, there were certain places she wasn’t brave enough to tread and the underworld was one of them.  She was ready for it to be her time before seeing the place she’d spend eternity unless she was lucky to be reborn.  “Why would they lock you away in the underworld?” She questioned with earnest.

“Then we’ll wait for the adrenaline to go down and then we’ll assess you.” He looks around, just to confirm there’s no blood. He believes the woman, but he has to see for himself. It’s just how he is. “Yeah I don’t see any blood either. That’s a good thing.”

“You are very sweet to help a stranger.” Keyleth complimented awkwardly.  “Many people would have just filmed it, or laughed..”

Vax chuckled.  “You think so huh ?”  She’s still the same old Kiki, just without the memories…it’s for the best.  He shouldn’t even be alive to see her and…he can’t have her feel that pain over again…the same with Vex.  “Ah I would ignore those words.  Can shine in other ways.”  Who needs family’s words anyways…not the twins.  Should he ?  “They call me Vax.”  He did but odds are the name might not ring a bell…he just couldn’t lie about his name to her.

Keyleth’s face flushed a soft red, a warm smile stayed on her face.  “It’s nice to meet you Vax.” She smiled bowing her head in a bit of curtsy.  “Oh-- I met this lovely lady.. her name was Vex, are you two by chance related?” She questioned curiously.  Keyleth’s eyes barely left the others face, taking in every minor detail without meaning too.  The memories between the two were sealed away by the magic that bound her to the city.  Locked into the depths of her mind, only peeking through at night when she dared dream.  Yet her body seemed to react in a way that only could be described as muscle memory.  Her shoulders relaxed, her jaw was never clenched.  She felt completely comfortable around a complete stranger and she couldn’t figure out why.   It was like an itch in the back of her mind, an itch that might beg to be scratched but she couldn’t reach.  “Oh.. My name’s Keyleth.” She stated pointing at herself, “Did I already say that?” She chuckled awkwardly.  A hand going to scratch behind her ear.

“Why would people think you are joking?” She questioned with a raised brow, “I think it is a rather unique name, but everyone here seems to have one.”

Wyatt’s information was proven true by the look of confusion on Piper’s face. He laughs lightly and nods, each nod tilting from side to side. “Yes and no. They can be clumsy and get themselves into situations; but they are also … in the protection business. Protecting innocents often puts them in danger.” Coop says, looking closely to see if his words registered at all. Then, with a smile he listens to her. “You are more powerful than you know. With that power comes sacrifices but also so many joys and people who will love you till the ends of time. You have all the power you need to make your life exactly how you want it.” 

Piper felt like the other was well spoken for someone so young in appearance.  “I take it a lot of your family are first responders?” She questioned as she patted the ground next to her.  A formal invitation for the other to join her in just enjoying the day.  She laughed an honest laugh at his next statement.  “I’m not that powerful.. and how would you even know, you don’t even know me sir.” She stated with a bit of a look on her face.

Do you….” In this moment, Ein was dashing around the corner, tail wagging in excitement when he spotted his owner. “Well, there you are!” He exclaimed. And then, towards Piper again. “Do you know where I have to go to do that? Getting him chipped, I mean.”

“Oh there’s a vet on 8th... or I think the shelters have special days where they’ll chip them for free.” Piper answered as she smiled at his dog holding her hand out for the dog to sniff as a way to ask permission before petting them.

“I’m not sure if it’s home yet, but I do think it could be,” Jeremiah nodded. He wasn’t sure how that made him feel, but there was no use dwelling on it if there was no way to leave. “Sometimes I wonder if they know I’m gone.” He’d lost touch with most of his friends. Others were happy without him and he wasn’t going to disrupt that.  

Piper could admire the optimism of the other.   She often found herself being such for her friends back home, but here.. it felt different.  It felt wrong.  “I feel the same way.” She admitted, “Part of me hopes they know i’m missing and are trying to find me.” She pushed a lock of hair out of her face, “But another part of me hopes they don’t--- I hate being trapped here and wouldn’t want those I care about trapped as well.”

it was the armour that ezra recognized first before they could process anything else. “rex???” other than ahsoka and leia, ezra hadn’t seen anyone from home in such a long time so it was such a great sight to see rex walking along the streets of washington. “hey rex!” they called out, grinning as they finally reached the other. “nah,” they shook their head. “cosplayer is someone who dresses up as a character, it’s kinda cool, some people here have pretty awesome stuff!” ezra grinned. “when did you get here?” they asked. “have you seen hera, sabine or zeb?” it would be nice if they came here with rex, but if not, it was a nice enough sight to see another face. 

Rex spun around on his heels,  his eyes studying the other.  He didn’t immediately recognize the other but given how he has met an older Omega and the older versions of his friends children.  He figured that perhaps he knew him from another point in time.  “I’ve only been here just a few hours I think.” He admitted those few hours were filled with revelations and reunions that it felt like a life time had already had past.  “I’m sorry but it was only me when I arrived.” He said with a hint of sadness.  “I haven’t seen any people with those names.”

“thanks! it’s actually a nickname, my names prudence johnna but that’s a mouthful, so my grams shortened it.” she smiled however at the comment about the power of the ‘p’ names, knowing that deep down, aunt piper was in there. “right? my sisters are all p names. it’s a whole thing with my family too, i don’t know where it started but the power in those names sure is intense.” she tried to backtrack in her mind through all the p named females in her life, but it went back for generations. she tried to control the grimace on her face knowing that her family had tried to already convince piper about their relationship. “weird, yeah, maybe i’ll have to see if some of my family’s in town, maybe see if it was them by accident. sorry about all that. i can’t imagine how hard it is.”

“It is definitely a very regal name for someone so young. “ Prudence.  she repeated in her head, why did that name sound so familiar.  She shook the thought from her head.  “I think it comes from an old family tradition-- I think if I had a daughter I would name her after my grams Penny.” Women ran strong in her family, she never really thought of having a son.  It simply hadn’t been done.  “How many sisters do you have? I always wanted a big family, I feel like if I had sisters growing up perhaps my life would be different.”

Looking at the broken swing set, he was reminded of when Edward and Alphonse were kids and he tried to build a swing for them. His back hurt just thinking about it but he couldn’t help but smile as he thought fondly of those memories. “I should fix this,” he said to himself as he placed a hand on it, using alchemy to fix the broken part of the swing. “Perfect, good as new,” he beamed before feeling a pair of eyes on him. “Oh, hello,” he said as he looked at them, “can I help you?”

Piper watched the other curiously.  “Oh sorry... I was just cutting through-- I hadn’t thought anyone lived on these back roads.” She admitted, it was usually a nice break from the extremely growing busy streets of the city.  “I’ll make note as too not trespass again.” She admitted a bit embarrassed.
