I just wanted to let people know that I’m not ignoring Xuan Yi’s recent expression of racism. I’m not going to defend her in any way and I do believe she should say something about her actions. I haven’t posted anything about it until now because I’m very uneducated on the culture she offended and I feel it’s not my place to speak when I know nothing of the true meaning of what Xuan Yi impersonated.
But what I will say is Xuan Yi did something inconsiderate and inexcusable. Ujungs should not being defending her actions. Rather, they should accept what she did was inappropriate and maybe even apologize on her behalf, as we all know Starship/Yuehua monitor what she can and can’t say.
So on behalf of Xuan Yi, I’m sorry to the culture she insulted and to everyone who is hurting. I don’t know if she knows what she did was offensive, but regardless, she did what she did and should apologize. I know this sounds super cut&dry and probably plastic, but I genuinely want to apologize for her.
