The stylistic choices made in Bridgerton permeating popular culture, giving birth to pseudo-regency texts that refuse to try to even understand the milieu of the era, and instead go with cheap gimmicks, bad costuming, the misunderstanding period mores, spreading misinformation (e.g. about corsetry), etc...
