forgot about this project and decided to mess around with it today! :]
this was supposed to be an evil disney-esque castle but now it’s looking like an evil church mansion hybrid which is also good.

flowers should have more uses in minecraft. they're cool for aesthetic purposes and dyes, but consider flowers that:
can be cooked, like cactus green, and dried out
can help to make potions (e.g. lavender makes a sleeping potion, which allows you to sleep in the day)
you can make perfume, which gives villager trades a slight discount
end flowers that, like chorus fruit, can be eaten, but instead of teleporting you, they make you float
flowers that when you're surrounded by them, you get slowness - poppies that make you exhausted
flowers that are deadly to some mobs and attract others
flowers that can be dried and eaten, that can give you slight potion effects
flowers,, fuckign flowers.

THINGS I WANT IN MINECRAFT PLEASE
fireflies
emit a light level of 5 per firefly within a swarm, but only at night, like sea cucumbers in water
catch them in a bottle like fish in a bucket!
place said bottle on a solid block to use as light source (same light rules apply)
release them into the wild
advancement “You Would Not Believe Your Eyes”
spinning wool into string
I know it messes with the difficulty, but I hate having to kill spiders when the very basic technology is right there (spiders are friends)
any planks (5 or 6) + iron ingot (1) in a specific configuration = spinning wheel
spinning wheel could be a possible Villager work station
please
you can make a sleeping beauty reference if you want
if you wanna balance it out a bit, it could take an incredibly long time while requiring the player to be viewing the interface for progress to be made
pretty please
painting wood
turn any planks into Painted [any color] Planks
just decorative
might even remove plank functionality in crafting certain recipes (but please add slabs, stairs, fences, etc. for each color?)
I just wanna paint my house
please
it would be so nice to have a colorful, but still wooden house
mixed slabs
you heard me
let me have different bottom and top slabs, cowards
let me mix wood with stone
dog breeds
like cats/ocelots (before 1.14), but for dogs
like I was surprised when I found out tamed wolves stay wolves? what’s up with that?
like wolves don’t bark only dogs do that in real life?
if nothing else like give the wolves some different skins?
zombie skin update
I had a close look at a zombie in creative mode as it converted to drowned recently and and the difference is… just not fair
drowned have such cool details with being a newer mob and zombies deserve the same flair!
simple elevator
boat (1) or any planks (5) + string (1) and/or iron ingot (1) = elevator carriage
idk man the wikipedia article for elevators is too long but if you can do redstone stuff you should be able to make a carriage go up and down with a rope
just feels more like a real mine if I can descend while standing in a box, watching the stone wall fly past me while I wait for my stop
either 1x1x1 (”use” to enter like minecart or boat) or 3x2x2 (walk into its 1x2 opening in the middle of one of the 3x2 sides)
it makes cool, creepy noises
spawns sometimes in abandoned mineshafts
if the rope is broken, the carriage falls and drops as an item once it hits the first solid block beneath it, but any players in/on it will take damage as though they fell the whole way on their own.
players on the ground where the carriage crashes also take damage
think anvils
Feel free to add! (I’ll add more if I think of anything)

I read somewhere once about a study that showed that tall people are more likely to make their ceilings in minecraft two blocks high, while shorter people typically make them three blocks high. This is because of how we view ceilings in the real world. Taller people are used to being up closer to the ceiling, but short people are used to the ceiling being much farther overhead, so two blocks to them feels too low and claustrophobic. I just think that’s really intetesting and not something I would have thought of myself.
Anyway y'all should reblog and put your height in the tags and how tall you usually make your ceilings in minecraft. Im 5 foot and I always do at least 3 blocks.
