I think maybe the funniest interpretation of Vader's "Anakin Skywalker is dead/ that name no longer has any meaning to me" thing is like. You know what you think back to your middle school self and all the stupid cringe things you did and said? Yeah that's Vader's relationship with his pre-sith self.
Is it fail-cringe to believe you are capable of good things and love and happiness? Darth Vader thinks so.

"I was so excited to get to do the bacta tank scenes. I had to be completely submerged in water holding my breath. For a few weeks leading up to it I got to work with a great dive coach, and he would teach me different breathing techniques. I think my longest breath holds were around two and a half minutes. It was surprisingly peaceful in there." [x]
