An open letter…
Thank you for teaching me life lessons. Siguro kung dili tungod sa imo, I wouldn’t be this strong. Siguro kung wala ta nag ila 8 years from now, makaingon gyud ko, unsa kaha ko karon? I have always been dependent to someone gyud ever since. I can’t decide on my own (hantod karon, struggle gyapon). Pero diba nga, I’ve learned a lot. Thanks to you.
Hahaiz. Can’t imagine nga for all those years nga nag uban ta, inani ra atong paingnan. Oh well, unpredictable gyud kaayo. Ingon pa nila, test of time ra daw. Sus! Kung test mangani, grabe bagsak nata. Naka abot manta sa finish line pero na finish napud lagi tang duha. Karon pako ka think ba, sayang gyud diay.
Sayang… Pero daghan napud tag gi awayan. Daghan napud tag bad words nga gipang ingon with each other. Daghan nasad times nga we hated each other. Sayang.
Akong gi imagine to nga night. Katong nagsugod tag away hantod sa nagsturya ta. Dili mawala sa ako, nanimalos gyud ka? Tungod kai napasakitan tika before so dapat ako sad? Balos2x? See? Dili gyud siya maayo. Sakita oi.
Sakit kay ikaw una wala nagparamdam tapos ikaw pay naay gana masuko. Unfair lang. Pero mao sad lagi. Wala gyu'y makasabot sa ako mao cge nalang.
Sa akong kasuko, gi unfollow tika sa media. The next thing i knew, gi delete na nimo tanan2x pics nato. Sakto sad diba? Nganong ibutang paman nga wala naman. Okay fine, mao ra akong maingon. Pero sakita oi. Agaay ha. Wala nagyud chance.
Katong second chance…gipaghaguan sad bya to nako. Thinking nga okay na and ikaw nagyud. Pero sayop nasad ko. Hahaiz.
Sakit mandiay ba? Abi nako okay ra. Abi nako sakto nato. Pero dili mn mawala ang sakit.
Kaya sugod karon, dili nako mag think about sa nahappen. Mao ragyapon walay pulos.
Sugod karon, muuingon nagyud ko ug… PANG LAST NANI. Human ani, wala nakoi iingon. Human ani, unta wala nagyud unta koi maingon.

“O ano, kaya pa?”
I was wandering inside a bookstore trying to look for Grisham’s latest novel. I was hoping that I could find two or more from his latest work but I found none. So I moved to another section and there I found a bunch of Chicken Soup Books. First thing that came to mind, “Sumo, highschool paman ko ani nge”. But what struck me most was its title. I suddenly opened the book (kahit naka wrap ug plastic) and read two or three short stories about nurse’s life at work. I was overwhelmed on how nurses have the same reactions and experiences when it comes to dealing with unpleasant clients/patients. Worst, when dealing with outrageous doctors! “Oh my! Unsa mani oi.” I couldn’t help but laugh and nod and nod as I flip those white crispy pages. Haha. The security guard rose an eyebrow and was baffled. Nahadlok ko sa iyaha so, I ended up taking a photo of this book and said “balik rako ugma”. HAHA. Then, I left.
It has been a tough week for me. And this book simply reminds nurses on why they entered the profession and why they chose to stay. 😉 #nursepamore

I finally managed to open this account after so many years of being inactive. And I decided to delete most of my posts just because I wanted to. Also deleted followers and other stuffs because wala lang, gusto lang ko. Clearly, I can’t post on facebook because it would be too controversial, murag sa showbiz ba daghan mag react. Instagram is a no-no because it’s an album of photos. Twitter characters are limited-you can only tweet 140 characters max, unsaon nalang. Good thing that I still have this account - where I can post everything and anything without anyone judging. Say hello tumblr! Hence, my online diary.

Understanding Pablo Picasso's Guernica
**Way back in college, our English professor assigned us to report about Pablo Picasso's painting of Guernica. It was quite a struggle for us to understand the painting (as shown below) for it was a complicated abstract. It has lots of drawings and it was painted in plain black and white. Thankfully, with the help of numerous books, articles and the internet, somehow, we were able to unravel what the painting was all about. :)
*Research and Analysis by: Maria Odessa O. & Kaycy M.
                                     Guernica
                                 Pablo Picasso
Basic Information
Year/Period it was made or completed: mid-June 1937
          Dimensions: 3.5 meters (11 feet) tall &
                           7.8 meters (25.6 feet) wide
          Medium used: oil on canvas
Present Location: Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid
Interpretation/Analysis
Guernica by Pablo Picasso represents misery and death. As we looked at the painting, the impression of darkness and distress is evident as represented by the dull colors of black, gray and white in which it sets a somber mood and expresses pain and chaos. Guernica may be a two-dimensional painting but its message conveys much more than our naked eyes could see. The screams of the women, the agony of a dying horse and the sound of violence depicted in the painting can be heard and felt.
Picasso has given no exact explanation of Guernica thus, in our own interpretation and analysis, we had unraveled some meaning of the images. At the left side of the painting, we can see a screaming mother holding her dead child. Her scream shows pain and desperation hoping to bring her child back to life. At the right side, there are two women, one with arms raised before a burning house and the other rushing in towards the center of the painting. The first woman exclaims for help for maybe her children were still inside the burning house and the second woman who runs toward the center is searching for hope as she looks at the electric light above that represents as the sun in which it gives light and hope. Also, according to Picasso, the "bombilla", a Spanish word for light bulb represents the bomb itself for the event of the bombing of Guernica took place in broad daylight and signifies the destructive effect of which technology can have on society. This is an epitome of how war chooses nobody to kill. It may be an innocent man, a woman or even a child.
Furthermore, the image of the fragmented body of a soldier with one hand clutching a broken sword and the head unattached to the body represents helplessness against the force of the enemy. Swords are nothing compared to bombs and machine guns which were used during the attack. There were also two animals depicted in the painting, where at the center of the canvas is a dying horse pierced by a spear hurled from above and at the left, a bull stands triumphantly surveying the scene. The horse much represents the huge number of dying victims of the attack. It clearly shows its suffering and agony and fights for its breadth of life. Also, as shown in the painting, the body of the horse is somewhat made from newspaper print which reflects how Picasso learned about the massacre. The bull in the other hand may represent as the enemy as evidenced by its horns, in which most would interpret as evil. Its tail burning with flame would represent hell. And among all the large images seen in the painting, a small flower rises beneath the ground. The flower represents life and life as we know it is the state of an organism characterized by certain abilities that include metabolism, growth, reproduction and response. In conclusion, life, in Pablo Picasso's Guernica is being crucially abducted thus, echoes of the unheard voices plundered Spain into an ocean of misery and death.
