When a guy talks about his "crazy ex", half the time he's just being misogynistic and calling her "crazy" for like, crying sometimes or otherwise expressing basic human emotions, and the other half of the time he's using "crazy" to mean "blatantly and horrifically abusive" because up until recently the discours has not permitted the concept of a woman abusing a man (and for many it still doesn't).
