Sometimes it was good to be alone, to wind down or to just decompress without the pressure of conversation. But at the same time it could be a detriment. Delilah was a bit of a social butterfly so she tended to thrive off of interaction with other people but after what they had just been through she only wanted to relax with someone who got it. Because the idea of going home to her empty house frightened her just a little.

"What about one of the funny scary movie or shows? Something to take the edge off but still creepy? If that makes sense?" she suggested as she moved to slip her shoes off and sit on the bed. She didn't want to make the bed dirty by putting her shoes on it.

Rory did love his alone time but he knew it wasn't healthy to be alone all the time. He tried his best to get out there to make friends he had one good friend but that was about it. He needed to be better about this and hey maybe he was getting better because he was hanging out with Delilah. He goes up to the room and takes out his laptop starting to look through his streaming service. "You can sit on the bed and get comfortable. I'll grab the pizza you just you know chill. Do you want to do something scary or funny?"

Eddie just nodded as Pepper spoke. He listened and thought for a long moment, needing to get his thoughts together before he said what he wanted to say. There was so much that they were going through and the only people they could talk to about it was each other. No one else would understand but...why couldn't they tell others? "Why can't we? Why shouldn't the rest of the world know? If we can't stop it they're goin to find out anyway..." he stated. "So why can't we tell the world?"

"It's strange to think about... all of this." Pepper says before motioning to everything around them. She could not think about it really without hurting her own feelings. They were fighting monsters and government officials alike as fucking teenagers. "We're trying to save the world but you know last time it happened I got back home and thought shit I still have to finish folding my laundry. They don't know what we're doing so life has to just move on like normal. We can't exactly put saved the world twice on the college applications."

Max had a point, Aki would admit that but it wasn't as easy as just living his life. Unlike his friends he couldn't just ignore his father when he wanted a meeting or to see him. The man would pull the father card and guilt him into it but it didn't mean that Max wasn't right. "Care to tell him that?" he asked, knowing it wasn't going to happen no matter Max's answer because he wasn't willing to let the man tell him that he couldn't be around the one friend he refused to be torn away from. He watched Max and shook his head when offered the case. As much as he might want too he didn't want to risk having some sort of anxiety attack. "Unfortunately I am his son and I have to play nice," he sighed. "But that doesn't mean he has to know everything," he admitted.

Max rolled his eyes. The never ending need for Aki to always be pleasing other people instead of himself was something that pricked away at him. He didn’t like it, not one bit. For his friend cared for much about other people when said people didn’t reciprocate it. “Well your father’s going to have to get over himself. Unfortunately for everyone, she’s always going to be there, chipping away at our lives.” He opens up his jacket, pulling out a little pill case and opening it up. “Want a party favor?” He asks, popping one of the pills into his mouth and swallowing it down. “Akeno, my dear friend, you need to learn to do as you please and not what others want. If you want to be friends with her? Then fuck it, do it. Your life, not your father’s. Besides the old man doesn’t care that much about you, why are you so worried about what he thinks?”

This was nice, being with Max and having it all be easy like this. Knowing what the other liked was something he couldn't help but feel was special too. He claimed the table and then waited for him to return, smiling when he did. "Thank you," he smiled and waited for Max to sit.

"got it," max says with a nod, something warm in his chest blooming at the idea of knowing aki's usual. it's silly, he thinks, to be excited about it, but it's something that makes him feel good, knowing aki so well. he smiles at aki before ordering, bringing their food and drinks over once he has them, placing them on the table. "your order, sir."

"I'm up for tweaking it. We can always do a run thru with how it is and then see what we want to change," he suggested. Johnny was open to all of it and he wasn't going to close the doors on anything. "Sure," he chuckled and sang for her. It was good to know how their voices would mesh and make sure they were both comfortable. Right now he was going to focus on what they were doing, anything else could be sorted out later.

"Sounds good to me, are we wanting to keep the early 2000's rock vives or tweak it a little?" Alona spoke as she rearranged her list and pulled up the sheet music she would need for it. getting that set up on her side table, she toyed with the octaves, humming to make sure she was in her range. "Sing for me?" She requested, moving to the lower end of her keyboard. She wanted to make sure she didn't go too high for him, that could kill ones voice. She would worry about the media later, not knowing that what his label was about to pull would far outweigh any scandal that might be brought up.

"You're most welcome, my love," Gavriel smiled as he looked at her. He returned the kiss, his hand resting softly on her waist. He was lucky to have found his own mate and a place to call home. It was nice to be around her and nice to be in this place with her. He knew that her children weren't his biologically but that didn't change how much he cared about them. They were his, his family, his children, at least in his mind and he was doing his best to try and be a good role model for them and undo the harm their father had done.

"Mm," he nodded with a smile. "It's all we can hope for any of them, that they find love and their place in this world," he admitted. A soft chuckle left him and he shrugged. "We probably will need to meddle but something tells me Eris is worried about hurting her."

"Thank you, my mate" Arista took a step closet to him and pressed a soft kiss to his lips. She could not have asked for a better male, he was everything she had ever and would ever need in her other half and she worked every day to build their life together. Even her children loved him, it warmed her heart to know that they finally had a good father to learn from. "I am truly lucky to have you at my side" and she meant every single word, one hand cupping his cheek softly, tracing over the arch with her thumb.

"He will enjoy his time helping her I am sure, the way he writes about her, you would think he had been in love with her his whole life" it made her glad to know he had found love in Elain, she could rest now knowing he was safe and happy. "Do you think Eris will ever admit young Penelope is his mate or will we have to meddle there as well?"

Alina didn't know what the Darkling had been through but she knew that she trusted Nikolai. That he was a good man and could be a great kind all he needed was a chance to show he could be the man and leader he wanted to be.

But none of that mattered if the Darkling wasn't willing to give it a chance. Ravka had other enemies, they didn't need to be one to their own people. They didn't need to become like Shu Han and Fjerda became towards grisha and otkazat'sya. She didn't want to see that happen.

"I do," she nodded, being honest with him. "It's worth the effort, in my opinion. But that was only her opinion and she couldn't predict what he was going to do. Whatever had happened to him in the past, she couldn't blame him and all she wanted was to see Ravka become a place for all.

"Yes, I would. Because I believe he could help usher in a new era for both Grisha and otkazat'sya. One that's better than how it is now...for all of us and the people who call Ravka home."

Aleksander doesn't say anything in response immediately. It is true that the Darkling is tired, weary. He wants all of it to be over; he has grown over the fight, the centuries-long war that he can't seem to escape.

And yet, there still exists that voice within him that wishes to argue against her. That questions whether anyone even deserves compassion, deserves another chance. He has hoped and tried for so long, until the point came (inevitably) each and every time that the hope was crushed.

Aleksander rarely spent time with Nikolai in the Grand Palace as the boy grew, of course; there had never been a need to, in truth. Opinions that he is just like the rest of his family, the rest of his ancestors, are all Aleksander has because why would he not be? None of the others in his family were ever different.

Bea didn't want to see Henry end up hurt. She wanted him to be happy and if she was being honest he seemed to happier than she could ever remember. She knew it was because of Alex. That he had made her brother extremely happy and she wanted that for him forever.

"You have a point," she giggled with a smile. "As long as he will be himself. I don't want him to feel like he can't be around me. Perhaps Grandmother but who can really be themselves around The Queen?" she pointed out, teasing just a little about how protocols.

All she could do was shrug at his question. "I don't know but I want to make a good impression on him. I want him to stay in your life," she admitted softly.

he knows that bea will like alex just like how he knows that alex will like bea . they'll probably get on too well just like bea and pez and make henry's life outrageously difficult as they team up against him but it would be like something out of a dream . ( and something that will end eventually . )

henry wouldn't try to bring him to meet bea , like this , if she couldn't be herself . that would be rather pointless . " well he's not meeting princess beatrice , she is incredibly boring and i would rather like him to enjoy himself . "

the way that the corners of his mouth twitch give away how he teases her . as his eyes , the nervous way he tugs at his signet ring , gives away his nervous excitement at the idea of them meeting . " bea, of course he will like you , why wouldn't he ?"

Mary knew that everything was easy, that their world was so close to descending into a war but she also didn't want to pretend like nothing was going on. "That depends on who we're talking about. My cousin and her court fear that I may have a claim to their throne. Some in Scotland think a woman shouldn't lead," she shrugged softly. "It's just how the world works." It wasn't always but it was for her. "I do not want you to risk your life for me when I know who is most likely behind it."

His eyes continued to scan around them as she explained, eyebrows pinching with concern that someone might have tried to kill her recently. "Why do they fear your rule? You have been more graceful than others and have provided many aid." If anything the people should be thanking her. He brought his attention to her again. "Would you like me to find out who might be trying to plot something against you?"

Ryn knew that her people weren't trusting of many who walked on land but she also knew that she couldn't keep doing this. That her people couldn't keep doing this and expect to survive. "Why?" was all she could ask because it wasn't his fight.

despite his own ability to be cynical, he doesn't like that idea, that there's nothing to be done. he doesn't know these people, these creatures, but working with uma has ingrained in him the desire to, usually, more or less, help the people of the isle. he nods, slight frown pulling at his features. "we'll try and keep people from you."

"You can say that again," Aki admitted. He knew that it might not always be this way, not with who his father was and what he did for a living. That didn't mean he had to be complicit and do what was asked of him. The last thing he wanted was for anyone, especially Max to have to deal with something like Gossip Girl again.

"hopefully. i think we could all use a break." aki is still roger menzies' son, and while he stays out of the spotlight a lot more than his siblings, he still feels like, as they get older, as they get maybe more interesting to the tabloids, being near him is going to bring max into it, too. well, at least he had his practice with gossip girl.
