happy release day! wherever and however you're listening to the album, we hope you're having an amazing time taking in all the new music! it's been a massive day for all of us, but here's a quick summary of things that went down in the past 24 hours:
firstly, the lover's lounge youtube livestream is available here for any of you who missed it! aside from getting us all hyped for the album, here's what else we got from it:
the lover music video officially premiered at the conclusion of the livestream. inspired by the you are in love lyric "you two are dancing in a snowglobe round and round", the music video also featured some last minute easter eggs for the album! after the video's release, taylor reblogged a fan's post to confirm the theory that each room in the video represents one of her albums
taylor performed the archer for the first time ever, you can find a video of just the performance here
stella mccartney was a special guest on the livestream to discuss her collection with taylor. some of the items are available for a very limited time on taylor's store while the two exclusive pieces are available for pre-order on stella's website. new regular merch is also available on taylor's store.
taylor said that she originally planned to name the album daylight, however changed her mind after she had written the now title track lover. she also revealed that soon you'll get better was the hardest song to write and a song she cannot sing
and of course, now that the album is released, the reviews have started coming out. here's what some publications are saying about the album already:

just one more sleep until LOVER! and with another day in release week comes a whole bunch more news!
let's start with what exciting new things we've learnt about the album:
another new lyric revealed in the love, taylor playlist!! "luck of the draw only draws the unlucky / and so i became the butt of the joke / i wounded the good and trusted the wicked / clearing the air i breathed in the smoke"
taylor's instagram story has been updated to tease the upcoming music video for lover, showing a countdown alongside images of a bass guitar, a set of drums, a christmas tree and some dresses!
apple music has revealed the track lengths of all the songs on the album! the album is 1 hour and 1 minute long, with the shortest track being it's nice to have a friend at 2:30 and the longest being daylight, clocking in at 4:53!
speaking of, the album credits have also been revealed; jack antonoff appears on 8 tracks, joel little on 4, louis bell & adam feeney on 3, and there are also appearances from annie clark (otherwise known as st vincent) and cautious clay. there are also 3 self-written songs on the album!
it looks like the album version of me! is going to be a bit different from the version we've all gotten used to - the song has been updated on apple music to remove the "hey kids, spelling is fun!" line
in other taylor related news:
taylor's live lounge is officially going to be happening on monday september 2nd!
reportedly, in an upcoming interview on CBS, airing sunday 9am et, taylor has confirmed that she plans to rerecord her old discography in order to regain control of her masters.
taylor and taylor nation bought pizzas for all the fans waiting in line at gma. taylor is performing a short set on the show on thursday morning.
