does anyone remember when i made a frustrated joke about how go was all about endou and gouenjis world changing bond of miraculous friendship despite the way they kept Saying kidou mattered just as much and i was like why is kidou even here send the man back to teikoku For gods sake hes useless here and people who dont know me were vagueblogging abt it like Kidou get behind me dont listen to the haters #Breaktrio4ever cuz i have a laff about it quite often

#after buying inapen manga last year i found out there was a special dvd- i successfully bought it tho#inapen kidou has a high voice like in the first ina11 series- why was AT kidou voice so low.. i suspect it's the sound director's fault#btw i've always thought kamiya hiroshi's voice v suited yabuten kidou

orion was insane for recontextualizing haikidous relationship by showing that while kidou keeps going on and on about what asuto did for haizaki and what awaits him next on the world stage he does not realize one bit that what HE did for haizaki meant the MOST to him. like its wild that they managed to turn the undeserved, gratingly forced enki parallels of ares into a bit of very interesting kidou characterization that adds layers and complexity to haikidous relationship. the rest sucked major ass but that part was crazy

sorry for being pretentious about ares this show really is bad. its only enjoyable months after last watching it when the details start to get foggy. lol. jk. (not really).
the kidokawa vs seishou match is good though! its a little odd that they had haizaki use death zone (notorious for very precise timing and needing great coordination w the other players) w orio and sasotsuka at the very beginning in seishous first match against inakuni raimon when the match against kidokawa is meant to be haizakis turning point as a player and when he first starts playing with the team. like him using his first combo move at the end of that match makes sense and is very significant for his growth but why he used it at the beginning when he was just an edgy loner boy and everyone in the team hated him is beyond me.
also i would like to formally apologize to mizukamiya. i still think he failed as a captain because while its nice that hes on haizakis side he should consider his position and the feelings of his team more. just letting haizaki do whatever and telling the team to ignore it because hes strong IS setting a bad example. and he still completely fails to handle haizaki so its not like he can justify his special treatment to the rest of the team. HOWEVER i have to acknowledge that he did not do Nothing like i thought. he tried to be a considerate captain and take haizakis side and try to get to know him and offer his ear if haizaki needs to talk etc. He Tried. I Admit It. However he also Failed. and thats all there is to say on the matter.
now about asuto. sigh. its bad. i dont want to talk about it. love the guy, very cute, very sweet. but this is NOT ITTTTT. whatever. whatever. WHATEVER! i dont want to get into it rn. i raged about it enough on twitter dot com.
now kidou. so bold of ares (and kidou) to try to give asuto all the credit later when they literally had this scene. after haizaki finally starts playing w the team
kidou did this. that light pulling him out of the darkness? thats kidou. are you fucking kidding meeeee thank god orion fixed this for me i would have killed someone otherwise. not really. yes actually. im so serious. anyway. i think the match against teikoku is coming up so im taking a break now. i need to mentally prepare. god i hate it. i cant wait to not remember much of ares so i can enjoy playing with its ideas again

og anime: not only does it have sakuma tell kidou raimon is where his abilities can shine brightest (despite not having any point of reference since teikoku never got to play a proper match as a free team, since teikoku vs raimon happened immediately after breaking free from kageyama they didnt have time to develop their own soccer, and the zeus match obviously doesnt count(kidou didnt even play)), but it also has kidou graduate from raimon. raimon player
go anime: now i only have watched one season and while i know there were Circumstances behind kidou becoming teikokus commander, and he does switch to coaching raimon temporarily, i seem to remember he stays teikokus commander even after everything, so. teikoku player
everyday+: this bitch only has teikoku on his mind and the game never lets you forget it. teikoku player
og manga: he refused to transfer to raimon bc of his position as teikokus captain despite himself wanting revenge, and only transferred in the end because it was his duty as teikokus captain to beat kageyama so his teammates could move on. transferred mid-zeus match so literally no bonding w raimon happened. wonderfully teikoku player
aresorion anime: there is that line w break trio about going back to their school and saying goodbye before leaving for the ffi or something and i think kidou only mentions raimon? so odd considering everyone left raimon atp whos he going there to see? and literally haruna is in seishou. but okay. raimon player i suppose
inapen: interestingly he keeps some distance w seishou and doesnt really include himself when he speaks of the team, and while he also keeps some distance w teikoku its explicitly so they can learn to stand on their own without depending on him so much. he is invited to come back at anytime, since its his home, hell always be welcome there. they literally say his heart is still with teikoku. beautifully teikoku player
ie2: while the teikoku students do have some lines about respecting his choice to transfer to raimon, and apparently kidou didnt keep contact w the team after transferring (!?), he does still say he took revenge on zeus for them, and there is no sakuma line about raimon being The Team For Him negating kidou saying theyre still his teammates, so. and genda also says kidou is the only captain for teikoku. im gonna say teikoku player

kidous "i believe you have what it takes to become inazuma japans ace" orion line is like discount "im tingling, haizaki ryouhei!!!" when it comes to like kidou admiring haizaki but im a big boy and i will get the same thing out of both of these lines and its that kidou is as captivated with haizaki(...s soccer) as haizaki is with him thank you and goodnight !!!!
