You had been in this alternate reality for longer than you had been expecting, trying to keep your powers hidden and your shapeshifter ability under wraps. Some malfunction with the RFI had sent you through a rip in the space time continuum leading you to this new reality where there was no such thing as the Beast or the conduit’s and you were pretty sure if anyone saw you using your powers you would be either exiled or killed. You had managed to settle in Alaska, in the depths of the mountains in Denali. It had taken a little while to get used to the way things happened in this world but you quickly found your footing and knew when to use your powers or disguise them.

It was a freezing cold day, snow was falling all around when you heard the cries and screams of people rolling down the mountains. Throwing on your thickest coat and jacket you race off towards the sounds. Reaching the top of the mountain, you look down and see what appears to be a fight between eight people and one, seeing the unfairness of this fight you growl in frustration, shifting into your lion form and race down the mountainside to help assist in the battle. Chomping on one of the opponents you taste something different than what you were used to, either these humans tasted different or they weren’t humans at all, you watch, see their speed and agility, see the bright red eyes of the majority and the bright amber eyes of the other, whilst they snare you see their fangs and you sigh. Of course, in this reality they had even more strangeness, maybe the childhood stories you had heard about vampires and werewolves were real in this time. The one you are helping, meets your gaze and you see the gratefulness in her amber gaze, a thankful smile on her gorgeous face. Feeling a pair of arms wrap themselves around your waist you sigh before turning and ripping the vampires head off before you continue to assist the lone vampire, you rip them limb from limb and leave them lying on the ground. When the fight is done, you give a slight nod of the head to the vampire you assisted and race off, heading back to your cabin.

“Just do it Cole!” you hear Zeke say, you look over at him and sigh, you should’ve known it was going to come to this. You stand alongside your brother, as he faces off against the beast, the RFI in his hands, his gaze meets yours and you nod closing your eyes as you see his hands move on the RFI to push it and activate its powers. A swoosh of wind and a tingling sensation fills your body and when you open your eyes again your standing in an unfamiliar place, at the bottom of the mountains in Alaska, as you look around you see no plague, no devastation, no blood or gore. What the hell had the RFI done to you?

For weeks you try and figure out where you are, how you got here and what your purpose was now. In the meantime you’ve managed to find yourself a place to stay, in a small cabin in the mountains. Its where you find yourself most comfortable and where you can do research on things without being distracted by townspeople. You’re out for a walk, thinking through something that you had found in your research when out of nowhere you feel a couple of arms wrapping around you and feel a pair of fangs wrapped around your wrist, using your powers you blast them away with your electricity before you use your self-absorption powers to take away some of their abilities and turn them against themselves.

“Take that!” you shout, you turn around and see a whole bunch of vampires standing around you. You can see some of them thinking about retreating, whilst others are snarling wanting to keep the fight going. Snarling yourself, you change into your wolf form and rush at the ones who are wanting to retreat, getting them out of the way before turning around and fighting the others, lighting and your bites enough to end the vampires who had dared to cross you.

Shifting back into your human form when the fight is done, you’re about to turn and retreat back to your cabin when you see a group standing atop the mountain, staring down at you in shock. You give them a slight nod before retreating back to your cabin, needing to write this down before you forget anything and begin doing research on this.

You were sitting in the beautifully decorated house that your mates lived in, Tanya and Kate were sitting on either side of you whilst Irina was standing behind you giving your shoulders a massage. After saved Carmen’s life about six months ago and meeting the other vampires shortly after, they had quickly accepted you into their coven and you had quickly begun sharing feelings with the three blonde women in the coven, they were your lovers and you cared very much for each of them, you were even protective of Carmen and her mate Elezar. Being a dragon shifter definitely had its advantages, especially when it came to your mates and their powers, especially that of Kate who had Psychic electrokinesis, something that you had seen her use on Irina once when she had been incredibly pissed with her sister. However, since mating with each of the sisters they had since gained your immunity, or so it seemed as Kate was no longer able to use her powers against her sisters.

It was a particularly warm day when you all decided to go on a walk through the forest, when you spot a car pulling up along the driveway, racing back to the house you find yourself being greeted by who you assume are the Cullen’s, the other coven like the Denali’s whom hunted animals instead of humans. As they all step out of the car you’re introduced to each of them, Carlisle, Esme, Emmett, Rosalie and Edward, hearing that Alice and Jasper had decided a quick trip out of the country to assist a friend in need surprised you. Edward is standing off to the side of the group, giving Tanya heated looks, you don’t realise until she leans into your side and presses herself against you, before whispering in your ear

“Y/N, please tell Edward to stop” you look at the vampire and see the looks he’s giving your mate and you growl, getting into a protective stance in front of all three women. Carlisle is a bit confused as are the others before Elezar holds up his hands and warns

“I would be careful with what you do now Edward, Y/N is the newest member of our coven, he may not be a vampire but he has some unique powers and he is incredibly powerful”. Edward’s eyes flash towards yours before he takes a step back but not before trying to make a move on Tanya one last time, this just enrages you and you race towards him, before flipping him over your shoulder and dropping him to the ground

“How dare you? Disrespecting a woman like that!” you say and he looks up at you frowning slightly before he straightens himself up and frowns at you. The rest of their visit is uneventful but you remain on your guard around Edward until he is well and truly gone.

Months had passed for you and whilst you had some contact from the Cullen’s and the wolf pack, a lot of your time was spent alone. That is until one day in the middle of spring, the grass outside is long and covered in different seasonal flowers, the trees are the greenest you’ve seen them in a long time and the sun though not at its hottest like it is during the summer months is a glorious feeling against your skin. You’re on the way back to your cabin when you hear a deep gravelly voice calling out to you, a voice you had heard so much in your lifetime

“Father! Father!”. You turn around and your jaw drops, here was your son, standing tall and with pride radiating from every pore as he glided towards you.

“Father!” he calls again as he rushes into your open arms. The thing with being alive as long as you have is that your feelings for those you cherish never weaken and your son, well he was the most important person in your life.

“Atreus” you breath as you pull him closer to your body, feeling the warmth and reassurance that it truly is your son your holding in your arms.

“I’ve been missing you father” he says and you give him a firm nod as your hand cups at the base of his neck

“I’ve missed you too, son” you say and he nods a smile gracing his face.

You invite him inside before you offer him something to eat and drink, before settling into the lounge. The two of you catch up on the years of information you’ve missed due to your separation and then finally it gets to the reason why he turned up in the first place, he sits up a little straighter in his seat and his hands grip the edges of the armchair, a nervous tick that he had picked up many years ago

“Atreus, what is it my son?” you ask and he looks up and meets your eyes

“Sarah, she’s pregnant” he announces and your jaw drops as you process this information before a wide grin spreads across your face as you get to your feet, pulling Atreus up into your arms in a fierce hug that he quickly reciprocates.

“I’m going to be a grandfather?” you ask, just to make sure and when your son nods, you chuckle before giving a shriek of delight.

“Congratulations son, this is amazing news for the two of you” you say as you pull back from the embrace.

“Thanks, father, we wanted you to be the first to know” he says and you smile, placing a hand over your heart, feeling truly honoured.

You’re about to settle into your chair again when you feel the presence of your newest aquaintances approaching. You sigh, moving out of your cabin and towards the edge of the clearing, Atreus follows you out and asks

“What is it, father? Is it a battle?” you look back over your shoulder and shake your head, seeing the stance in which your son is standing.

“Everything is fine Atreus, just stand down” you whisper to him as the Cullens and wolf pack come into view.

“What can I do for you all this fine day?” you ask looking between the Carlisle and Sam to see if they are willing to give anything away

“We had a few questions to ask you” Sam says stepping forward and the others all nod, but most of them aren’t looking at you, they’re looking at Atreus and you sigh, stepping in front of him to get their attention

“And what are these questions about? Surely my son doesn’t need to be a part of this conversation” you say, trying to get them to back off but letting them know that Atreus was your son seemed to be the worst thing you could’ve done as he was now shrinking back whilst the others all tried to crowd around him to ask him questions. You let out a loud growl, threatening to use your power against them but when they see this they back down, turning their attention back to you before you hear one of the younger members of the pack whisper

“Can you feel their powers?” you flick your gaze towards the young man and he closes his mouth whilst one of the older members of the pack say

“It’s strange, Y/N’s powers are incredibly strong, and Atreus’ powers are weaker but still, they’re stronger than our own” your gaze flickers towards your son who nods his head in agreement with the statement.

“Right, this is enough. I will talk with you all in a couple of days to answer your questions that you all have. However, right now I am spending time with my son, please leave” you state. The wolves all look at each other before they turn and leave, Carlisle steps forward and says

“I am truly sorry for the interruption and the behaviour of the pack, we will see you in a couple of days Y/N” you nod before you watch the Cullen’s leave also. As soon as they’re gone you sigh and your shoulders sag.

“Is everything alright, father? Do you need me to stay?” he asks and you shake your head

“No Atreus, what I need is to spend some time with my son” you say as you move back towards the cabin and he gives you a gentle smile as the two of you walk back into the cabin.

Your breathing is erratic as you curl up in a ball on the soft rug that lay on the lounge floor in the unfamiliar house. Your anxiety had reached its peak and you were unable to calm yourself down, none of the normal strategies you used to calm yourself back down were working and your sister was completely ignoring your cries for help.

“Bella! Isabella!” you cry out over and over again. You don’t realise that whilst you had been sitting in the lounge with your book, that Edward and Bella have left the house, leaving you alone in the house or so you thought. You feel a cold hand on the back of your neck and you jolt upright looking up into the face of Esme Cullen, Edward’s mother, she had a gentle smile on her face and a calming presence about you

“Y/N, sweetheart is everything okay? What happened?” she asks you, her silken voice is warm and calm and you meet her amber gaze, your breathing is still all over the place and as you try to tell her what’s wrong she just sits with you and waits for you to find the words you’re wanting to say”

“Anxiety” you manage to breathe and she pulls you into her arms as she runs her hands through your hair

“Oh sweetheart, it’s okay,” she says over and over again, the action giving you a warm fuzzy feeling and helping to calm you down.

When you were finally feeling a little calmer, you look up sheepishly and see Carlisle has joined his wife, sitting close enough to offer his support but still far enough away in case you aren’t receptive of the contact. You smile at the two of them, a small smile on your face

“Y/N, is everything really okay?” Esme asks, moving the hair out of your face and you look down at your hands, nervously fiddling with your fingers

“I guess” you whisper, voice quivering and you lookup to see both Esme and Carlisle sharing a quick glance

“What is it?” Carlisle asks softly and you stare over his shoulder as you say

“It’s just a whole lot of things altogether that is making my anxiety go through the roof. It started just before Bella and I moved here to stay with dad, and then I haven’t really fit in at school, I’m getting bullied relentlessly and then dad’s been so busy at work and Bella’s been spending so much time with Edward that I feel like I barely see the people I care about the most any more”, the longer you speak the softer your voice gets and the more you try and retreat into yourself.

“Oh sweetheart,” Esme says, pulling you close again, she hums against the top of your head and you begin to relax in her embrace. You barely even realise it but Carlisle must have left, as he comes back holding a cup of hot chocolate and a plate full of cookies. You look up and thank him as you take the cup from him and hold it in your grip. Carlisle sits on the other side of you and rests his hand on your shoulder as he says

“If you ever need someone to talk to, or just be around your more than welcome to spend time with me and Esme. I know it’s not much and it won’t help your situation at home or school but we would love to have you here with us”, you look between both of them and nod a grateful smile spreading across your face

“I would like that very much, thank you, Esme, Carlisle” you say and they both smile

“That’s alright, sweetheart,” Esme says as she places another kiss on top of your forehead.

As you sat in the middle of your apartment, wallowing in the grief of losing one of the most important people in your life to suicide, the three cats you and your fiance had brought together snuggled up around your feet, knowing that there was something off with you, whilst your new kitten, a ten-week-old stray who had wandered into your apartment the morning before you couldn’t help but feel a little calmer. There’s a knock on your front door and when you realise that someone is trying to see you, you call out

“It’s open”. The next thing you know Alice is sitting beside you, pulling you close to her side and wrapping her arms around you. Your three cats all look up at the slight disturbance before closing their eyes and ignoring your best friend, but when your kitten, a little boy you had decided to name Thackery, looks up at Alice and starts to give off a little hiss, Alice looks down at the small feline and raises an eyebrow

“Maybe your New Years resolution should be to not get another 20 cats…?” she suggests and you pick up the small kitten and pat him as you place a kiss on his cheek

“Little Thackery was a stray that appeared on my doorstep yesterday morning, I couldn’t just leave him alone. I checked with all my neighbours and all the people around the neighbourhood to see if he was there and no one laid claim to him so I have. Besides, these three have already claimed him as one of there's” you say as you let he go and he traipses down your legs towards the oldest cat you had Benny, and when Benny looks up and nuzzles the small kitten you can’t help but smile, as I that proved your point. Alice just sighs before she sees how happy your cats are making you, and how they are helping your through this time of hurt and grief.

You were standing in the middle of the park when a gust of wind blows, you look up and smile. For the first time since moving to Forks, Washington it truly felt like home. You always loved the rain and the wind but your favourite thing was storms, they calmed you in a way that nothing else could. Your gaze lingers on the darkening sky and you beam, as you feel the first couple of droplets of water land on your face.

Tell me your name?

Where are you from?

How do you do?

A strong pair of arms, cool to the touch pulls you out of the rain and as you kick and scream against the hold you feel something shift inside of you as you look up into the amber eyes looking down at you in concern

“What the here do you think you’re doing out in the middle of a thunder storm?” he asks, concern is etched all over the face of the young man who still has you held firmly in his grasp. You motion for him to put you down and when he does, you turn and walk over to the edge of the gazebo your standing on and whisper

“Storms keep me calm, they’re my centre, my focal point when I feel like the world is falling apart around me”. You can feel this strangers eyes on your back as you watch the rainfall on the ground, the lightning beginning to light up the dark grey sky around you and hear the deep rumble of the thunderstorm.

“What’s your name?” the man asks, curiosity lacing through his voice, you look over your shoulder as you give a small smile

“Y/N, and you?” you ask and he steps closer towards you

“Edward” you look up into his face, seeing those amber eyes again and you can’t help but feel a new sense of calmness wash over you, and it’s not coming from the storm. Something within you shifts and you’re so taken with this man that you want to spend forever getting to know him. As if reading your thoughts, a small smirk spreads across his face and he leans down and whispers

“I would want nothing more than forever with you Y/N. You intrigue me like no one else”. Your heartbeat picks up speed upon hearing his words and you give a nervous chuckle as you say

“So we’re cool?” he chuckles as he places a hand on the small of your back, pulling you in closer to his body and whispering

“Oh we are most definitely cool” he tilts his head down to meet your lips and when you realise what’s happening you tilt your head up and meet his lips, savouring the first of many incredible moments with this amazing man.

2019 Advent Ficlet Challenge - Day 3

The more the merrier – Thomas Mendez x MC

Christmas music played through the speakers as you and Zoey stood in the kitchen, preparing the Christmas feast for those who were spending the holidays alone, or away from their families. Levi was coming over in just a little while to prepare some of his family recipes with the help of Zoey, whilst Alma and her boyfriend Marcus were joining you a little later on, even Faye had decided to spend the holidays with you. You were a little upset that Thomas and Luz weren’t able to make it as they were going away for the holidays but you understood, Christmas for you and Zoey had definitely expanded with your island of misfit toys joining you, but you wouldn’t have it any other way.

As the apartment began to fill with people, presents and the smell of delicious food the Christmas festivities began to ring out as drinks were shared and games were played. You were about to call for dinner when you hear a knock at the door. You turn to Alma who had been working alongside you and she nods, ushering for you to go and check the door. When you open the door you gasp when you see your boyfriend and his daughter standing in the threshold

“Thomas? What are you and Luz doing here?” You ask and he chuckles as he leans forward and kisses you on the cheek

“Its nice to see you too Y/N” he says and you shake yourself, placing a smile on your face before you say

“Sorry, it’s just I thought you said you were going to be spending the holidays with your parents”. Thomas smiles, nodding as he explains

“That was the plan but there was a change of plans, my parents decided to spend the holidays with my sister and her family instead, so Liz and I were wondering if there was space enough for us at this Christmas feast”, Luz finishes by saying

“We brought some desserts, with no soy in them” she says proudly and you smile, leaning down to place a kiss on top of her head

“Why thank you Luz for making sure that Zoey will be okay” you say and she blushes,

“Of course Zoey’s mum, she’s my bestest friend I don’t want her to be sick” she explains and you nod. Thomas smiles as he asks

“So are we allowed in?” Theres a teasing tone hidden behind the question and you smile, stepping out of the entrance way as you say

“The more the merrier”.

After dinner and dessert, whilst everyone is lounging around on the available surfaces trying to digest the food, Zoey and Luz are sitting over by the window when you hear two loud pitch squeals, you look over at them as they point put the window and say

“Can we go outside? Luz and Zoey race out of the apartment complex with Levi and Faye right behind them, Alma and Marcus are next whilst you and Thomas linger behind the group. His hands find yours and lace your fingers together as the two of you stand watching the scene unfolding in front of you. Thomas leans his head down and places a kiss on the top of your head before he whispers

“Merry Christmas my love” you look up at him and cup his cheek with your free hand as you say

“Merry Christmas to you, my dear”.

2019 Ficlet Advent Challenge - Day 5

Day 5 - Wind with Adrian Raines x MC

The soft breeze on your neck, your skin is enough to calm you, the first time you had felt truly calm and at peace in the weeks since you had been Turned. It had been Adrian’s idea to escape everything that was happening in New York. With the rebuild on the way and the others all helping get things back on track, he suggested heading out of the city to his old farmhouse, an idea that you had agreed with even though the last time you had been there you had almost lost your life. Your standing on the veranda, looking out at the trees and the growth in an almost pitch black landscape, the sun had set hours ago and now the two of you were alone in the darkness. You feel the gentle touch on your neck as Adrian moves the hair from your neck so he can place kisses there, when you moan at the contact you lean back into him.

“How was your sleep?” you ask, turning so you can look him in the eye

“It was good until my little spoon left the bed,” he says and you chuckle

“Little spoon huh?” you say with a teasing voice and he places a chaste kiss on your lips before he nods

“Of course my love” he whispers as he wraps his arms around your waist and you can’t help but smile, a mischievous look that has him raising an eyebrow at you. You can’t help but bite your lip as you begin to run your fingers through the short hairs at the nape of Adrian’s neck as you rise to stand on your tiptoes, before whispering in his ear

“You know if you wanna be the little spoon, I’ll make it worth your while” you hear him exhale deeply before he picks you up and carries you back into the house, his lips attacking yours as you go.

You had been cooped up in bed for the last three hours, since Ethan had carried you back to bed when he found you curled up in front of the toilet. There was a bowl beside the bed, a big glass full of water beside the bed and a flannel that he kept wet so that he could try to help regulate your temperature. It’s nearing 7am and you know that Ethan should be getting ready for his shift, when you turn and find him lying in the bed next to you, his reading glasses on the end of his nose, and a novel in his hands

“What are you still doing here Ethan? You should be getting ready for work” you say and he puts the book down, taking off his glasses and resting them on the bedside table before he leans over and places a peck on your forehead

“You’ve got a fever Y/N. Of course, I’m not going anywhere. You are my number one responsibility right now” he says and you look into those bright blue eyes that you adored so much, they’re filled with concern and uncertainty about how your truly doing, you send him a grateful smile as you snuggle into his side

“Thank you Ethan” you murmur against his chest

“For what?” he asks as he lazy traces his fingers up and down your spine, sending small jolts of pleasure through your body.

“For taking care of me when I’m sick, for being my knight in armour” you say and he chuckles before placing a kiss on your lips

“For you Y/N, anything” he says and you can’t help the cheesy grin that spreads across your face before you drift off to sleep in his arms.

2019 Advent Ficlet Challenge Day 14

Not a creature was stirring – Sawyer Oakley x MC

As the two of you snuggled on the couch, listening to the crackle of the fire roaring, a fluffy blanket draped across your laps you couldn’t help but snuggle closer into his side as he placed a kiss on your forehead, his hands giving your small baby bump a gentle squeeze and you can’t help but hum in appreciation of the simplicity of the moment.

“Not a creature was stirring…” you hear Sawyer whisper and you place a kiss on his cheek

“Not quite true babe, but I get your point” you say, you finally had the house to yourselves after a long day of preparations for Christmas day, people had been coming and going all day and you were finally getting a chance to enjoy the peace and quiet. A tender kiss placed on the sensitive spot behind your ear is enough to send shivers down your spine and you shift to straddle his waist, your arms wrapping around his neck as your eyes meet his honey brown eyes, grinding your hips downwards you hear the deep moan escape his lips and you can’t help the wicked grin from spreading across your face, before you capture his lips in a heated kiss. When he bites your lower lip, you let out a small moan which turns into a yelp of surprise when he switches your position, pushing you backwards into the soft couch cushions

“Enough teasing babe” he whispers and you look up, seeing his eyes darken

“Who said I was teasing?” you ask, raising an eyebrow at him and he chuckles

“I see someone’s got their libido back” he says and you shove his shoulder

“Really? Just- please Sawyer?” you say and he crashes his lips against yours again before he does exactly as you ask, making love to you and sating your every need.

You stand at the back of the group of people gathered around to mourn the life that had been lost, due to a horrible illness and short battle, your father had lost his life just three days ago. You had returned to your hometown as soon as you had heard the news from your sister. Leaving as soon as the sun had set below the horizon and heading back to be with your family, spending as much time with your mother and sister as you could as the three of you mourned the life of a man who had given so much and loved every second with his family. You hadn’t even bothered to leave a note, or tell anyone where you had gone so it surprised you that none of your friends had tried to contact you, or tried to stop you. Being a vampire made being here in the midday sun a difficulty, but having managed to convince one of Adrian’s scientists to give you one of the syringes meant that you too could join your family through this time of grief and mourning. As tears stream down your cheeks, you sniffle before you feel a pair of strong arms wrapping around your waist, you tense before your senses are overwhelmed by the scent of your boyfriend, you lean back into him. You turn to look up at his face, into his light blue eyes and you see concern, grief and a little bit of hurt in his eyes, but most of all you see his love for you shining back at you. You whisper

“What are you doing here? How did you find me?”

“Lily received a message from your sister yesterday when she figured out you hadn’t told her, and as soon as she told me I knew that here was where I needed to be. I can’t imagine being anywhere but here with you” he whispers back and you reach down, placing your hands over his and give them a gentle squeeze

“Thank you for being here Adrian” you whisper and you feel the gentle kiss he places on the top of your head

“Always Y/N, but next time you decide to run off without the support of the people who truly care about you please remember that we are on your side, and will always have your back” he says and you nod

“I’m sorry Adrian” you whisper and he nods, placing a kiss on your cheek

“I know you are sweetheart” he says, as the two of you turn your attention back to the priest.

Nightmare

You thrashed in the bed, as images of an ugly future, one were you lost control and killed many innocent humans filled your vision. As you lunged at the nearest person, you scream and bolt upright in the bed, before you break down in tears. A strong pair of arms wrap around your waist and pull you closer towards him, you feel a solid chest behind your back and you immediately turn in his arms, clutching at his chest as you lose yourself to your emotions.

“Shush, Y/N it will be okay. I’ve got you, my sweet” he says over and over again, his voice warm like a gentle caress against your ear

“Adrian- I don’t want this life anymore” you whisper, voice so quite you barely even realise that you’ve spoken until his arms instinctively wrap themselves tighter around your waist as he whispers

“You don’t mean that my sweet”. You look up and meet his blue eyes, and you shiver to see the love, belief and determination clear as day in his eyes.

“For weeks, I’ve been haunted by these nightmares. It’s like whenever I’m with Rheya I’m calm, I’m at peace but as soon as she’s out of my sight I’m haunted by flashes of my future, a future where I don’t like the person I am Adrian” you say and his jaw drops

“You mean- you can see your future?” he asks and you nod

“Well I’m assuming it’s my future and I don’t like it, Adrian. Everyone keeps on telling me I have this darkness inside me. Serafine and Rheya, both of them have mentioned it to me more than once and I’m absolutely terrified of what it means” you explain and he places a kiss on your forehead

“Maybe it’s not a true vision of the future, maybe its a warning of what could happen if you let that darkness consume you. But whatever happens Y/N, I will always be by your side” he vows and you nod, leaning into his chest and placing a kiss on his collar bone, as you feel him place a kiss on the top of your head.

As Ethan tucked you into bed in the spare bedroom after you had come to his apartment completely hysterical because of some stupid ex that had threatened her life, you had offered her sanctuary in your arms until she had calmed down, before you offered to let her stay the night. She was staying in your spare bedroom, because you didn’t think you would be able to control yourself if the two of you shared a bed, you weren’t allowed to have feelings for your Rookie, but there wasn’t anything to say that you couldn’t care for your friend. Oh, how that word hurt your heart. You take one last look at her as she drifts off to sleep, but you step on a creaky floorboard and her hand immediately shoots out and reaches for your hand

“Please stay Ethan” she whispers, her voice meek and tiny, and your heart tugs at hearing her sound so small. You war with yourself for a couple of minutes before you nod and get into the spare bed with her. She immediately curls into your side and you can’t help but wrap an arm securely around her. You place a kiss on her forehead as you hear her whisper

“I sleep better if you’re around” and your breath hitches, before you whisper

“Go to sleep rookie”.

[Extends a hand when they see the other was searching for it while they’re sleeping] with Thomas x MC

You were spending the night with Thomas, after yet another incredible date you had decided to head back to his place where the two of you were too exhausted to do anything except for fall into bed next to the other and for him to pull you into his arms as he whispered a sleepy

“I love you” into your ear before drifting off. It’s a couple of hours later when you wake and realise that you’re no longer in his arms but as on the other side of the bed, you sleepily begin to search for his body in the massive bed before you feel Thomas’ arms wrap themselves around you and pull you close, a faint kiss to the top of your head is enough for you to snuggle in close and drift back off to sleep content with this incredible man.

2019 Advent Ficlet Challenge - Day 16

Baby please come home – Ethan Ramsey x MC

The two of you had gotten into a very nasty argument three days ago, and whilst you still interacted with one another at work, your interactions were minimal and with little to no feeling towards each other, which was why you sat in your bedroom pouting. You missed going over to his place after work and spending the cold winters nights snuggled up in his arms with Jenner asleep at the foot of the couch keeping your own feet toasty and warm, you missed the simplicity of unwinding with a glass of wine or scotch, and a good book whilst he played classical music in the background. You missed how those simple moments always turned into a heated make out session and the most amazing sex before you fell asleep wrapped up in his bed. It was three days, and yet to you, it felt like an eternity. You’re trying to unwind, to read a book that you had been meaning to read for months but you just can’t seem to focus on it, so when your phone rings, you immediately scoop it up and ignore checking the caller ID as you push answer and say

“Hello?” there’s a sharp exhale before you hear the voice you’ve been wanting to hear the most come through the speaker

“Y/N…” he breathes out your name and you hum before you wait for him to speak. When he doesn’t you ask

“What do you want Ethan?”, he sighs as he says

“I know we fought and your probably still mad at me for what I did but baby, please come home”, you can hear the hurt and remorse in his voice, and you really ought to still be mad at you, for the words, he had said to you but you just wanted to be with your boyfriend.

“I’ll be there soon,” you say before hanging up the phone, dressing in your coat and putting on a pair of flats before you make your way towards your boyfriends’ house.

As you knock on the door of his apartment, he flings the door open before you even have a chance to remove your hand and he immediately pulls you into a hug, his embrace warm and welcoming, as he presses a kiss to the top of your head before he whispers

“I am so sorry Y/N, I shouldn’t have been such a jerk, I was letting my pride get in the way again” he says and you tilt your head up to look in his deep blue eyes

“I forgive you, Ethan,” you say and he tilts his head down and captures your lips in a tender kiss

“I don’t deserve your forgiveness, but thank you sweetheart” he says and you smile as he rests your foreheads together

“Of course,” you say as you wrap your arms around his waist and place a quick peck on his lips, loving every minute of this reunion with your boyfriend.

2019 Advent Ficlet Challenge - Day 17

Wonder – Thomas Mendez x MC

As the icy cold flakes of snow fell in swirling patterns to the ground, the four of you made your way down the snow covered path admiring the different storefront decorations. It was a perfect family moment and you honestly could not be more content with the way you were feeling in this moment, Zoey was holding your left hand, Thomas your right whilst Luz stood on Thomas’ other hand as the four of you made your way down the streets, admiring the dedication businesses had made in the spirit of the holiday season. When the four of you make it to the middle of the shopping district, Luz gasps before pointing at the ice skating rink, and pulls Thomas along behind her, which in turn meant that you and Zoey had to jog just to keep up.

“Daddy, can we go on the rink? Please?” Luz asks, looking up at her father with her big doe brown eyes and you can’t help but smile as you watch Thomas war with himself, it’s not even ten seconds later that he nods his head and caves, looking to you and Zoey and saying

“You two are joining us too, right?”, you look down at Zoey whose nodding her head enthusiastically and you sigh

“I guess we are,” you say nervously.

As you swap your ballet flats for a pair of ice skates you sigh nervously, it had been years since you had last ice skated and it hadn’t been pretty back then. As the others make their way out to the ice you take a deep breath before standing and walking onto the edge of the rink, dragging yourself along the side of the wall, whilst you look over and see Luz and Kensi skating in circles together whilst Thomas is skating like a pro, your jaw hangs open in surprise before you watch him with so much wonder. He looks over at you and sends you a small smile before motioning for you to join him in the middle of the ice and when you shake your head he skates up to you and reaches for your hand, lacing his fingers through your own.

“What are you doing hugging the wall, sweetheart?” he asks and you look up into those chocolate brown eyes and sigh

“I can’t skate” you murmur and he raises an eyebrow

“What was that sweetheart?” he asks and you burst out

“I can’t skate!” Thomas looks at you stunned, before he leans down and places a kiss on your cheek as he says

“Not a problem sweetheart, just take my hands and I’ll help you” he says and you shake your head vigorously

“No, I think I’ll stick with the wall,” you say and he leans down, placing a heated kiss on your lips before he nibbles his way along your jaw before he whispers in your ear

“I won’t let anything happen to you Y/N, I promise” your body reacts to him, to the promise and to the look in his eyes as you watch him. You bite your bottom lip before you nod your head slowly, taking his other hand in your own and he smiles, before leaning down and placing a quick peck on your lips before he says

“We’ll take it slow and then if you’re feeling a little bit more confident later on I’ll let you go” he says and you shake your head

“No! Just hold me, please” you say and he smiles

“Of course,” he says as he begins to skate around the rink backwards leading you around, as you begin to lap around the second time you begin to laugh in excitement, Thomas pulls you closer so he can place a kiss on your forehead as he says

“I’m proud of you sweetheart”, you blush at the praise but the smile on your face tells him just how happy you are and he wouldn’t have it any other way.
