taking a small break from my huge pile of requests (thank u for them, btw!!) to take the time to write something of my own - some headcanons about my favorite ship 🥺 i hardly see anything for these beans. i saw a youtube commment earlier about how they could read each other’s mind since pixal was in zane’s head, and i took the idea and ran with it. this is post season 9 btw!

next up: lloyd x reader

let’s start off by saying neither of these dorks had no fucking clue what a relationship was and how it ran when they first started dating

like at all

zane asked her out after pixal gained her body back, and he had to have such restraint to not kiss her right there

for their first kiss pixal was so shy she was like ??? this is unnecessary ??? and zane just laughed and went “it’s a sign for humans to show their love for a person. may i at least try?” and pixal got all shy but kissed him

i feel like pixal got so giddy from it she’d always try and give zane a lil peck when they’re alone 🥺

they’re definitely very shy and personal, so they don’t like pda

i would like to remind you that zane can sense and feel her emotions due to them sharing the same “heart” so i just KNOW that zane knows almost before pixal knows she’s upset

“i sense your frustration...” “her eyes showed annoyance, but her heart said she understood” (don’t come for me i forgot it)

whenever she was upset in any way he’d 100% take her to one of their rooms if they were able to and just hug her and cuddle her and help her talk through her emotions, since pixal still didn’t entirely get the whole emotions jig

“i love feeling human, but... i wish these emotions weren’t so strong. i do not understand why you enjoy them so much.”

“i admit, it is hard sometimes. but it’s all worth it to feel the love i have for you, pixal.”

you bet your ASS she got all giddy and blushy and zane just had the biggest smile on his face

i also 100% firmly believe they can read each other’s mind by just looking

like pixal could be scared and think “i really don’t want you to go on that mission, zane.” and zane would put his hand on her shoulder and smile softly and mutter in her ear, “i’ll be safe, my love, i promise.”

ever since she kept samurai x a secret from zane, she couldn’t keep another one even if she tried. zane knew the fear in her heart, he felt it too, and would immediately pick up on it

it would piss her off but ultimately she was thankful for it

you know that soulmate au where they share each other’s pains? yeah, they live that daily almost

normal pain no, but anytime something happens circuitry wise or around their heart the other feels it

let’s just say zane felt so much chest pain when pixal thought he died. oh my god he was getting sick of it but it made him even sadder to be away from her

and when he got his memory wiped ?? pixal felt a huge strange power surge through her that caused her to scream out loudly. poor sis gave the bounty a heart attack from that scream

oh man. after the shitshow that was the ice emperor incident, pixal had a lot to learn about putting to use the emotional control zane taught her

zane would hide it, but ultimately pixal would catch him alone crying. it wasn’t like she meant to - she felt his heartache and knew he needed her.

she’s wrap his arms around him, hugging him tightly and tearing up, “it wasn’t your fault. vex wiped your memory banks, ultimately you had no choice. you followed the only person you knew at the time.”

“but i hurt so many innocent people,” zane began to sob, making pixal sob, “i was built to protect those who cannot protect themselves. and i became the very evil i swore to protect others from.”

“everybody lived, zane. not a single casualty was from the ice emperor’s hand. you are still here and alive, right? you will be okay. i promise. i will help you, zane.”

“thank you pixal, i love you...”

“i love you more, zane. when i feel alone, i replay the video message you left for me. hearing you say you love me calms me.”

“you too?” zane would laugh, “i love hearing you say it.” he’d nuzzle up to her, grinning.

THESE TWO ARE SO INNOCENT AND BLUNT.

one night kai and cole would be joking about who’d bang first - nya and jay or zane and pixal. cole would laugh and say some filthy shit, and pixal would overhear and be like ... humans do that for fun?

zane would get so MAD at cole he’d be like “she’s PURE! do not destroy her mind like you did mine!”

“better make sure you’re gentle with her then, pinky.”

“gentle with me? why wouldn’t you be, zane?”

“i hate you, cole.”

overall these two are so fucking cute oh my god
