This is keeping me up so I have to write it somewhere.
Thinking about learning to mod Minecraft so I can add pigeons!! I think it’s really silly Minecraft doesn’t have lots of bird mobs in the game and I really like pigeons in general, so here are some thoughts I have, if I where to implement them into the game.
Lots, and lots of variations! Pigeons have so much variety, and I adore mobs with different variations so much. Maybe implement a genetic system for this, but as someone who has never modded modern Minecraft, probably too ambitious.
Pigeon harnesses!! Act like llamas with carpets. Just for style points.
Tame them with regular seeds(?)
Spawns basically any common biome.
Mail! I want them to have the spawn mechanic of turtles were they can go find their place of birth, but equip that with the ability to place an item in their beak like an allay.
This also means pigeons should become an item or at least be able to be interacted with by other players- this might lead to them stealing the pigeons but it would be easier to move them around for mail purposes.
Eggs should work like turtle eggs as well, possible nest item too?? Like the model comes with a nest or have it as a separate item or block. Kinda like how Alex’s cave dinos do it.

I should post my sketches here more often LOL.
Anyways! Here is Anders Warren! She’s a human, those wings are apart of her backpack. She belongs in the Vivarium setting I mentioned a post ago.
She’s the head of inspectors for the Alchemist Guild (which is the faction that runs the city of Vivarium). She goes around with other inspectors to keep tabs on the alchemists around the city! She makes sure they aren’t doing anything illegal (like making homunculi with human blood), and make sure their workshop is safe to begin with.
