It's crazy to think that this man came back into my life 6 years ago today. I wasn't ready for him or looking for someone. I honestly didn't even really know exactly who the hell I was at that point in my life. I was picking up the pieces of my heart that had been shattered. I guess fate has its own way of telling you different, though. I truly believe fate brought him back into my life to help me through some of the darkest times in my life, to be the person that helps balance my craziness, to truly be my soulmate - one of my best friends in the world. Most importantly, to build a life and future with. To be my co-pilot through this crazy ass thing called life. Sadly, this is the first year that we're not together to celebrate or anything like that. But the reason why only makes me love this big ol' goof of mine all the more. He's out on the road, working as hard as he can to help provide for me and the rest of his family. Becoming the man he wants to become in life and the man I've always known he could be.
