      nights were always a time that seemed to wake Bartholomew up. perhaps it was due to a reoccurring nightmare, or perhaps it was simply that he couldn’t find a way to calm the thoughts that were trapped in that head of his. whatever the case be, it wasn’t unusual for him to step out for the night, however it seemed he wasn’t the only one who had the same idea that night. 

                                                           “…James?”

     he didn’t want to scare the other male, god only knew how terrible that would have been for both parties. letting out a soft chuckle, bartholomew shook his head hands finding their way out towards the railing the other had been leaning on. 

                                “ You know a busy man such as yourself needs his sleep.                                 Though…I suppose you could say the same about myself,                                               then again my job is nothing like yours. “

    allowing the silence to sit between the two for a comfortable moment, the green haired man shook his head, eyes shutting for just a split second. in that small moment he winced, whatever vision came to mind seemed to jolt him right back to the moment the two were sharing. leaning towards the other, bartholomew thought carefully about his next movements. 

                                               “ I fear for whats coming next, James.                                                but you have my trust…you always will.”

    pressing a quick peck to the other’s lips, barty let himself linger. perhaps it was the nightmares driving him mad, driving him towards the point of fearing everything his little life had to offer. or perhaps he was finally acting on those feelings of his that he tried so hard to bottle up. standing up right once more, bartholomew shoved himself off the rails.
