I'm still reeling from the events of last year. From being assaulted, drugged, miscarrying, being nearly assaulted by a zoophile, losing literally Everything I had, being gaslit and having my privacy invaded by many people close to me, having revenge porn made of me, and finding out I'm being stalked and in danger by way of 24/7 surveillance, I have nearly nothing left to go on. I have been essentially abandoned and had my trust destroyed by many people I considered close to me. And in order to escape that hell I had to get diagnosed with a disorder that essentially discredits me from all my grievances and I have had to return to my childhood home where I'm surrounded by the cluttered, pest-infested trash in which my mother inhabits. I cannot endure this much longer. I almost Died last year and no one who I thought to be a friend ever tried to help me. I am so alone and so, So at the brink of something drastic and permanent. I have to find a way out of this place and into a safe, private, healthy environment. My birthday was just 1 week ago (1/27) And I ran into further abuse and objectification. I just want an end to this iteration of life. I want so badly to rest and heal. Please help me, I'm begging. I am so tired of humiliating myself. Please, share this with people. Allies, pay it forward and help a black queer disabled mentally ill and severely traumatized person not just live, but thrive. The help is out there and I know you're able to do something to alleviate this terror. Don't wait for someone else. I don't care what your reasoning is, just please help me

I'm all for analysing how tragedy is meaningful and important and so on but I do think people really underrate the "wanna see something fucked up?" instinct as a reason for engaging with fiction.

the idea that restrooms, locker rooms, etc need to be single-sex spaces in order for women to be safe is patriarchy's way of signalling to men & boys that society doesn't expect them to behave themselves around women. it is directly antifeminist. it would be antifeminist even if trans people did not exist. a feminist society would demand that women should be safe in all spaces even when there are men there.

So we all know that Tumblr is US-centric. But to what degree? (and can we skew the results of this poll by posting it at a time where they should be asleep?)
Reblog to increase sample size!

“How can you be Jewish and support Palestine???”
It’s easy really. Other than having a soul, it’s because when the Nazis had our people in ghettos, when we were sent to death camps, when we asked for help and nobody listened. We know what it’s like to be begging for someone to listen. Because we know what the pain of loss, of starvation, of losing your home, of being mocked and dehumanised and othered feels like. Because we know that no life is above anothers.

As a leftist Jew who believes strongly in the cause of dignity and freedom for the Palestinian people, and that Israel has abused them, I am begging fellow leftists to understand that real life is not a comic book. A government being “the bad guy” in a situation does not automatically make anyone who opposes it “the good guy”.
Hamas denies the Holocaust. Hamas disseminates the Protocols of the Elders of Zion—the conspiracy theory it paints is what they mean by “Zionist”. Hamas forbids foreign aid educators from teaching human rights to Palestinians, and claims that even teaching that the Holocaust happened is a war crime. Hamas has written the aim of annihilating Israel (the country and its people) into its charter—the mass slaughter and violent expulsion of 7 million Jews from the land is written into its laws.
There is no crime any state could ever do that would justify any of that; there is no act of state repression that could ever make it acceptable to side with the organization spreading Nazi pamphlets and Holocaust denial.
Oppose Bibi Netanyahu. Oppose Israel’s far-right, authoritarian government. Oppose Likud’s policies. Oppose its violence against Palestinian civilians. That isn’t antisemitic. But Hamas is—verifiably, beyond a shadow of a doubt, to its core—antisemitic. Its portrayal of Israeli Jews as blood-thirsty, child-killing master manipulators that control international media and finance is antisemitic. Its insistence that Palestinian freedom necessitates the death & expulsion of Jews from the land is antisemitic. Its redefinition of “Zionism” as a pejorative to mean genocidal Jewish/Israeli Supremacy is antisemitic.
Supporting the Palestinian people in their plight is a noble and loving goal; please never stop that. But do not let Hamas co-opt that into excusing or denying their rampant antisemitism and war crimes.

genuinely fuck all of you for diluting the meaning of “nazi” down to “person i don’t think is radical enough” and the absolute devastation of the holocaust to “jews whining about a couple of them being killed.” fuck you. i hope you all spend the rest of your lives embarrassed and ashamed at the bold faced antisemitism you took part in.

I feel I should specify when I talk about the vast majority of Israelis supporting this genocide it's not to call for violence of them or even to demonise them. It's to call attention to Israel having a genocidal education system which dehumanises Palestinians from the moment Israelis start school. Ilan Pappé did a study in 1994 of the Israeli education system and raised the alarm that it would raise a generation who are even worse than those who first colonised Palestine in 1948. We're seeing the truth of that now.
I raise this point because we're seeing this attempt by politicians and the media to claim that it's just Netanyahu who is to blame for this genocide and not a systematic problem that requires boycotting, divestments and sanctions to push them to correct. This lie is being pushed because they do not want to change the status quo which allows for Israel to steal Palestinian land and homes and keep Palestinians under military occupation.

Cops are usually only ever brought to enforce violence and never protect anyone, I think the excuse of "fighting antisemitism on campus" is instantly disproven with the massive cop presence because yeah right you'd "waste" state resources on protecting anyone from anything. Hordes of cops only mean you made people mad, not that they want to help anyone.

i think its so funny that alumni from schools like harvard and columbia that were there during the protests in the 60s-80s are expressing support for students currently protesting against the genocide in palestine, and random zionists that were NOT at these protests in the 60s-80s have the never ending audacity to tell these alumni "well thats different, what you protested was good and what they're protesting is bad." as if protesters against the vietnam war and apartheid south africa were not also demonized, arrested, brutalized, and even killed for their activism. history only remembers them fondly after the damage has already been done.
