Random facts on Elliot Rodger
He was friends with the multi-millionaire family of the man who invented the barcode
He was English - born in London in 1991
His father was one of the directors of the Hunger Games - he took Elliot to the premier in 2012
He loved the band Green Day
He started seeing therapists at the age of 8
When he was younger, his stepmother used to force-feed him bad-tasting soup as punishment for bad behaviour
Throughout his childhood he was obsessed with his skateboarding ability, and based a lot of his self-worth on this
When his parents divorced, his father liked to live well and in upper class neighbourhoods. When this became difficult, he stopped paying Elliot’s mother full child support so he could remain in a large house, forcing her to move into a lower class neighbourhood with Elliot and his sister when Elliot was 11 years old
Elliot believed that being white was the way to be most attractive and get women. He often put down Asian men online, bragging about how he was half-white and therefore more attractive
He used to put up photos of himself on TeenSpot and then make other accounts to compliment himself with. He’d also use the accounts to insult people who insulted his looks
He drove a BMW
He had to leave mainstream school due to bullying
World of Warcraft was his main coping mechanism throughout his teenage years
When he committed suicide, police failed to notice the gunshot wound to his head until after they handcuffed and arrested his dead body

This black flamingo was spotted in Cyprus. It is just the second black flamingo ever seen. The first one was seen in Israel in 2014 but experts believe they may be the same bird, meaning that only one black flamingo has ever been seen. The black flamingo is affected with melanism, which is a condition caused by an overproduction of melanin, darkening the skin. An animal with melanism is a very rare sight.

@staff @support
Tonight, I’m logging off to protest against Tumblr’s new guidelines. This website is a mess; artists, blogs, innocent reblogs etc. are being marked as explicit by a bot that apparently has no idea what it’s doing. Anything that the staff considers explicit has been entirely removed to make this website “children friendly”. Apparently, safe search, age confirmation and blocking tags isn’t enough anymore. In a time like 2018, soon 2019, I think it’s absolutely disgusting and inhuman to take the freedom of speech from your users, and worst of all; not care enough to hear their voices. I’ve seen that the Tumblr staff doesn’t care enough to cooperate with us. Therefore, I am joining the Log Off Protest on the 17th of December.
I promise I’ll check in on the 18th of December to see how you all are doing <3 Stay strong!!

I can export/archive/backup your Tumblr Blog
Hi — I’m a web developer. I built a tool (called Archivr) to backup Tumblr blogs a few years ago in the hopes of preserving my likes and my own blog. When Tumblr announced their new (bullshit) rules I dusted off the code and made some improvements.
Using Archivr, I can backup the latest 10k posts from a Tumblr blog, including text, captions, photos and Tumblr-hosted videos, in under 5 minutes. More data can be captured beyond that if desired, it just takes longer.
If you want to have your blog backed up or saved before The Purge, send me a message. I’ll need the public blog URL (e.g. http://yourname.tumblr.com). If you only want a specific tag archived let me know (e.g. if you only want your original content and not reblogs and tagged your posts with “mine”).
Once the data is stored I’ll give you a link where you can download it. I cannot host the data forever, so please download it, make a copy on a thumb drive or external drive, or back it up up to the cloud.
In the future I’ll build a tool that can take this exported data in the format it’s in and reconstruct a website from that archive. For now I’m just focusing on saving as much of the content as possible before Tumblr nukes it from orbit.
Reblog/spread the word.

One night, he moved his chair through the alcove that separated our desks and sat beside me. Behind him one of the posters that were plastered over most of the walls in our offices was in my direct line of vision. It was a picture of a howling kitten clinging to a thick rope, and it read, “When you get to the end of your rope … tie a knot and hang on.” Ted sat there silently for a moment or two as we sipped coffee companionably. Then he looked down at his hands and said, “You know, I only found out who I really am a year or so ago. I mean, I always knew, but I had to prove it to myself.”                                                         I looked at him, a little surprised, and waited for the rest of the story.        ”I’m illegitimate. When I was born, my mother couldn’t say that I was her baby. I was born in a home for unwed mothers and, when she took me home, she and my grandparents decided to tell everyone that I was her brother, and that they were my parents. So I grew up believing that she was my sister, that I was a ‘late baby’ born to my grandparents.”
He paused, and looked at the sheets of rain that washed over the windows in front of us. I didn’t say anything; I could tell he had more to say. “I knew. Don’t ask me how I knew. Maybe I heard conversations. Maybe I just figured out that there couldn’t be twenty years’ difference in age between a brother and a sister, and Louise always took care of me. I just grew up knowing that she was really my mother.”
“Did you ever say anything?”
He shook his head. “No. It would have hurt them. It just wasn’t something you talked about.  When I was little, we moved away — Louise and I — and left my grandparents behind. If they were my mother and father, we wouldn’t have done that. I went back east in 1969. I needed to prove it to myself, to know for sure. I traced my birth back to Vermont, and I went to the city hall, and I looked at my records. It wasn’t difficult; I just asked for my birth certificate under my mother’s name — and there it was”
“How did you feel? Were you shocked, or upset?”
“No. I think I felt better. It wasn’t a surprise at all. It was like I had to know the truth before I could do anything else. And when I saw it there on the birth certificate, then I’d done that. I wasn’t a kid. I was twenty-two when I found out for certain.”
“They lied to you. Did it seem like they deceived you?”
“No. I don’t know.”
“People lie out of love too, you know,” I said. “Your mother could have let you go — but she didn’t. She did the best she could. It must have seemed the only thing she could do to keep you with her. She must have loved you very much.”
He nodded and said softly, “I know….I know.”
“And look at you now. You turned out pretty good. In fact, you turned out great.”
He looked up and smiled. “I hope so.”
“I know so.”

Hey guys, so my car recently went out. And unfortunately its a semi pricey fix parts wise. I would be able to fix it had I not lost my job a week and a half ago unexpectedly. I was let go due to a lack of sales despite being told that I was not for months. So I was unprepared to search for a new job and due to my low income had barely enough saving to scrape rent for this month.
Unfortunately I’m having a hard time finding a job as a lesbian in a smaller town, and to make matters worse even if I get one right now I wont be able to cover my rent.
8So ive started this emergency go fund me to get my car on the road and help me cover my rent so my kitty and I have a home and food. I really would appreciate any an all assistance. Kitty pics included for tax.
Please donate if you are able to, and if not, please share this post, I can really use all the help I can get.

There are many similarities between the sexual sadist and the criminally-offending pedophile, according to FBI profiler Roy Hazelwood who is widely regarded as an expert in the field of sex crimes. Offending pedophiles in this capacity are primarily attracted to young children and have acted on their desires and molested a child. Not all child molesters are pedophiles, but all criminally offending pedophiles are child molesters. Sexual sadists are driven by a desire to inflict pain of all types on their victims and experience sexual pleasure from doing so. Here are the similarities between the two, as outlined in Hazelwood’s Dark Dreams:
Both are ritualistic criminals, fortified by their richly illustrated fantasies
They are committed to their crimes in terms of money and energy due to intense motivation and the drive for satisfaction
They lack remorse or guilt and justify and rationalize their crimes to a great degree
They go to great lengths to avoid detection, and tend to integrate themselves into society, equipped with the social skills to do so
They tend to be middle class and possess average intelligence
They record their criminal behavior, and are likely to possess pornography highly specific to their fantasies, some of it illegal
They are narcissistic, and due to rationalization are resistant to change
They are often known as “model prisoners” and are most likely to be released and re-offend over and over -  they both have high victim counts and will not stop until they’re caught. They also tend to engage in criminal activity well into old age if possible.
They’re highly likely to molest children in or close to their families
According to Hazelwood, they are each extremely hard to catch due to their intense determination, narcissism, and depth of remorselessness.
