If I brought Thoth back guys... There would be some major changes. I would have to archive this I think, mainly because there are too many things I’d want to delete and yet part of me did enjoy the memories back then.

“Also I uh…. Met a Stanford too. He uh…………………. doesn’t exactly trust me right now. For obvious reasons.”
“Hm? Is it the one that is dating WD? He is quite the spirited young lad.” Young, the man is in his seventies but young to Thoth. Everyone is just young to him haha.
“If it’s that one, I understand. He didn’t even trust /me/ due to being triangular shaped.”

“Thanks.” Bill sighs warmly at the aroma of the fancy tea served to him. Man, Thoth was always good with his teas.
“Yeah I… Visited them after you sent out the letters. James is…. He’s hurt, but understanding but Hannah was just outright angry. But she’s just a kid, ya know? Not everyone can protect each other 24/7. No matter how hard we try, even as powerful as us, we still have trouble. It’s no one’s fault.”
“Mm.... Ah, yes... I know. He’s been hurt once more and I went to ask her permission to go and find him, to respect her. I understand that she is a child but she also is quite intelligent-- It didn’t go well. I have also met another Stanford Pines, in which was a rocky start but he seems fine enough.”
Setting his cup down, he sighs out.
“I wish I could protect everyone, in theory I could but outside forces even above this plain- Prevent that. It would be, as the term is tokened... God modding.”

“Can’t speak for everyone, but I know Rache probably misses you.”
Bill floats with Thoth and seats himself on a counter nearby him.
“Speaking of, she’s apparently a miniboss of this supposed villain guy? He’s alright but he’s not as much a villain as he’s cracked to be. I managed to kill him once, too. But she’s been living there for awhile now.”
“I should go visit her... I did not receive a good welcome from ah Hannah and James was hurt- I wonder if she’ll be hurt as well.”
Hearing that she’s a mini boss gets a chuckle out of him as he reaches the kettle and lets go of the other’s hand in favor of pouring some hot chai tea. The whip cream and caramel float out of the fridge as he prepares it, presenting them both as a latte with steamed soy milk.
“Here you go love, that is quite the tale. I am sure she is having fun.”

After the hug, Bill’s eye lighted up with joy as he asked that.
“Uh, hell yeah! Not much’s been happening with me but you have got to tell me all about your god-like mission you had to do! I swear I thought you’d be gone for an eternity what all happened??”
He chuckles, holding his hand as he floats towards the kitchen.
“I had to check on the other deities, catch up on my own work- It is less exciting-- Ah and kill a God Killer but, you know. Normal formalities I suppose? I know it’s been quite awhile. I... wondered if everyone would want me back, I am glad you do Bill dear.”

“Oh Thoth….”
As soon as the door opened there he was. Thoth in the flesh. Nothing changed…. Not a single thing.
Without so much as a warning, Bill greeted Thoth with a tackled hug.
“I missed ya ya big nerd.”
A loud OOF could be heard as he lands backwards and wraps his arms around the other. Well, this was quite the welcome and greeting! Settling down for a moment, he shifts to hug him as he speaks.
“I missed you too dear... Truly, I did.” Finally standing back up, he offers to help Bill up as well, engagement ring still glinting on his finger.
“The offer for tea is still available, we could catch up if you wish?”

A ring, at his door? His eyes momentarily filter with the given information of the other being bored, choosing to visit... This was still quite surprising. After Hannah’s reaction to him still, James missing, he hasn’t heard from anyone really- This was...
He was at a loss for thought as he answers the door, surprise on his face.
“Bill? Hello dear, it has been... awhile. Would you like to come in? I have some tea on the kettle I believe?”
After a few days of finding out Thoth had come back, he had finally come to see him. It had been months since they spoke to each other. And alot of things have happened since then. And…. who knows what Thoth’s been up to? Would visiting him like this be awkward?
There was only one way to find out.
So he rung the doorbell.

James wasn’t sure what to say, he hadn’t expected to see Thoth again… least not in his lifetime. Far as he knew Thoth had some things of great importance to deal with.
“I-… its alright. Is something going on?” He wasn’t sure what else to say, so much had happened, so much he’d endured… he hadn’t seen Thoth since the last two times his father had tried to kill him.
Hannah was in the hall however, glaring daggers at Thoth as if she’d prefer him to poof back home.
“No... I merely assessed a few helpers and have attended to some other duties, checking on the other deities who were slumbering.... I am sorry about what’s happened to you recently.”
The glared daggers are met with a calm gaze as he peeks over to her but nothing more as he returns to stare at James.
“I have no right to come out of the blue, but you were on my mind when I was finally able to get time. I am sorry I left, you did not deserve to be hurt, nor did she. I just wished to apologize for that... I know she is angry and has every right to be so and.... I am sure you are upset as well...”

The door opened and there stood Hannah, blinking up at him before her eyes narrowed. Without a word she slammed the door shut.
A familiar voice spoke on the other side before the door opened once again, there stood James; skinny and dressed in a jumper far too big for himself as well as a loose pair of jogging bottoms.
“… Thoth?”
He expected that. He merely remains standing there, well, floating as he stares at James then. His eye was downcast momentarily, taking in his appearance before he looks at the other with a soft, saddened gaze.
“Hello James, I apologize for intruding. I know it’s been awhile, far too long actually. I am sorry for that.”

This was a terrible idea, he has seen what James has been through since his absence, he knew how much the other has suffered but also? How much he has grown. Shifting on the weight of his feet, he trudges up to their home and abode, giving a knock once.... Twice...
And waits.
This spell allowed him to be human to others but James and Hannah would recognize him for sure.

Hannah watched as the food appeared before her eyes, if only other problems could be solved with magic… but she doubted her father would like to resolve his this way. While she still wasn’t sure if she’d done the right thing Hannah took a fork and began to eat, at least feeling a little better now she had Thoth’s help.
Provided he stayed.
“Daddy thinks he is. Grandpa said a lot of horrible things before he was gonna shoot him. Grandpa doesn’t know what you see in Daddy, not when you have Rachael and Bill. I think Daddy is going to take up some lessons from our friend Toffee with something but he didn’t wanna tell me.” She murmured.
Finishing her mouthful she stared at the plate before looking up at Thoth, “He missed you.”
“His father is wrong, he said those horrible things only to hurt in his own frustrations. Your grandfather... If I could speak with him and show him what I see, I would gladly do so...”
So much needed to be fixed, he felt tired already but it was alright. He would help James through this, he cared about him enough to stay. It is partially why he came back after all.
“I missed him too, and you.”

Why not just take away James's memories of Gaster and his dad? That would probably help him.
“Honestly it wouldn’t help, it would just give him blanks in his memories and he would always question what they once were.
It’s an invasion on his mind, I’ve made this mistake before and I will not do it again. You can not merely erase your trauma, you must learn and grow from it.
It will take... time, but James will heal. I know it.”
