Yes Laura’s speech when she was contributing to the resurrection was remarkable. Yes her emotional performance was top tier like always. But where she really showcased her skills was when she said “whatever hole she’s leaving, I’ll be there to help fill it” and didn’t even smirk or snicker.

i love the idea that essek was first attracted to caleb in aeor exclusively because it’s the funniest option, like pov: you’re a 120 year old traitor to your homeland, being hunted by your co-conspirators, and you’ve absconded into an ancient ruin to prevent the end of the world. you are also rediscovering sexual attraction while sleeping in a 10ft radius dome with seven other people, including but not limited to: a deeply suspicious monk who is looking for a reason to kick your ass, a woman whose husband you held as a prisoner of war, and the human wizard who is the source of the problem. there’s also a firbolg with a passive perception higher than god. there is absolutely no privacy. if i was essek i’d have fucked off after the fight with ikithon too
