One of the tiny offerings for GioGios birthday, I've just been in my feelings recently and this might be a bit different than some of the other things I've written🥲

April 16th...
Giorno wore a serene expression as he stared at the dawn sky. It was beautiful, and he was always taken with how each sunrise somehow managed to look different. He's 37 today… he knows the villa will be busy today, you'd made sure that all your plans were executed to perfection for the tasteful soiree that would be happening later on, and he loved you for it. With all of your careful doting and affection you had lavished on him, there was no way he wouldn't feel loved. He oozed charisma, an uncanny charm that made people want to follow him without having to be coaxed, however, for all his charm and charisma, there were times during which his own company was most coveted. This need for solitude is what led him to make waking up early part of his routine.
He could tell from the sunrise and that cloudless sky that it was going to be a beautiful day, perfect for building sandcastles and playing volleyball. He didn't dwell on the past, but on days like these, he thought about his journey, his traumatic start, the events that had led to his deliverance and how he had managed to achieve his dream so early on in his life. Having done so much in such a short amount of time meant that he could focus on his fulfillment. He thought about this with a smile, soon realizing that almost every good memory, every positive event included you. You had come into his life like a rainbow after a violent storm, turning his attention away from the destruction and focusing it on something hopeful and beautiful, and that's exactly what you exemplified for him… hope. He fell hard and quickly too, and was presented with a rare challenge when he found himself having to work to get your attention, but he enjoyed the hunt and relished in the moment that you realised that you had fallen for him too. Slotting seamlessly into each other’s lives, he had found that you complimented each other in every way. He needed someone like you to keep him grounded and you needed someone as encouraging as he was to make you realize your own dreams could take flight.
Before long, Naples darling couple had made their union complete. Now, many years later, he sits on his golden throne, the Don of Passione, was such a different man when he was home. Of all the titles he holds, his roles as a husband and father are the most precious to him. It was scary when it was new, there were still times in which he was taken aback by what the kids did, but he was in his element when he was with them, finally, he had a family he could call his own. Taking a sip of his steaming coffee, his eyes wandered over his shoulder to check on you, still asleep, he thought, his heart content. He let his eyes linger, you looked so beautiful in that peaceful state. In turning his attention back to the ocean, he caught sight of the outfit you'd be wearing later that day, and smiled as he imagined you in it. You'd be breathtaking, he was certain of that, but he mused about the moments in which you had been most beautiful to him, and it wasn't in the designer garments you had tastefully worn, it was when the ocean breeze had ruffled your shirt and rearranged your hair when you both had taken those long lazy walks, or when you were completely flustered with flour on your nose from trying to make the perfect ravioli.
His reverie was interrupted when you had crept behind him, wrapped your arms around his shoulders and buried your face in his luscious hair.
"Good morning birthday boy," you whispered sleepily into his ear, taking in the scent of his shampoo.
"Morning tesoro, how'd you sleep?" He asked through a few kisses to your cheek.
"Well thanks my love, what about you? Why are you up so early, it's your day,"
"My sleep broke and I didn't want to disturb you, so I came out here instead," he explained, gesturing for you to come around and join him, which you gladly did, nestling yourself into his warm embrace.
"Happy Birthday! I really hope you're going to enjoy all our plans for today," you said following a kiss to his lips.
"Any hints?"
"Hmm, just that you'll need boat shoes,"
"Ah sailing, you know me too well," Giorno rested his chin on your head, thankful for the peaceful time he'd be able to have with just you and the children.
"Of course I do, I know you like to have some quiet time just before the chaos starts, Mista's in charge of the entertainment so…" you said through a laugh, remembering the last few events. It was beyond your control though, and you appreciated how much everyone had loved Giorno to want to be involved in celebrating him. Barely able to contain your own excitement, you had blurted out that his "cousins" from Morioh and Florida would be joining you all this year as well.
"And so the Chaos Trio will be together this year… albeit a bit older… maybe not wiser though" you continued.
"You call them cousins but actually I'm-"
"Babe, babe, I love you, but it's way too early for me to wrap my head around the bloodline"
"... cousins it is,"
Just as you both were about to get started with your day, you had heard a small commotion outside your bedroom door. Leaping off the couch to see what had happened, you had found your pair of rascals at the door holding a tray bearing an array of misshapen pancakes and fruits with what looked like orange juice.
"And, what's all this?" Asked Giorno, scooping up the elder, while you took hold of the little one and the tray, setting both down on the bed. The expression on Giorno's face as the pair had shouted out birthday wishes in unison was priceless and your heart swelled with joy knowing that Giorno was truly happy. Seeing the mist in his eyes, you redirected the kids' attention, asking them how they made everything, interlacing your fingers through his, while Giorno collected himself. The rest of the morning and day was spent having the breakfast that you had made and then setting sail on the yacht. Your boys had tried their hand at fishing while you and your little girl channeled your inner divas as you sipped grape juice from plastic champagne glasses while soaking up the sun. All too soon, was it time to go back to shore and start getting ready for the party.
With the kids safely tucked away with the nanny watching over them you and Giorno had started to get ready. Giorno had stepped out in a tailored royal blue suit, looking every bit the dapper don. Choosing to forgo his tie and letting his golden waves dance about his shoulders, he looked so handsome, you couldn't help but stare at him for a moment before turning your attention to your own look. It was Giorno’s turn to stare… he had always relished watching you getting ready, whether it was for a major event that warranted your glamsquad setting up shop in your room, private events such as this or simply dotting your everyday products onto your face, he loved watching you and the cute faces you'd make while examining your reflection. Feeling that you had primped and preened enough, you did a little twirl and asked your loving husband for his opinion on your look before you both left to meet your guests.
"Breathtaking, bellissima tesorina, I feel I might be underdressed now… come amore, shall we leave?" He asked, extending his hand to you with the grace of a royal.
"Let's go,"
By the time you had gone downstairs all your guests had arrived and had been mingling with each other.
"Oiiii Giorno! Happy Birthday, old man,"
"You're a sight for sore eyes, and I see you've brought him." Answered Giorno with mock disdain, always smirking at how antsy Anasui got each time Giorno referred to or addressed him.
"Ignore him Jolyne, we're really happy you guys came," you answered.
"Hey Gio, another year, how does it feel to be almost 40?" Josuke approached your group with the usual playful tone in his voice and greeted Giorno with a firm handshake.
"I should be asking you that question," replied Giorno playfully. As the night played out, you and your husband had traversed the room with grace. In his usual fashion, Giorno had everyone entranced by his presence. Taking a break from the festivities, you found a seat near the corner of the room, giving you the perfect vantage point to just appreciate how much everyone was enjoying themselves. Even though it was your husband's birthday, it seems like you too were gifted with something… looking at Giorno’s genuine smile, flushed cheeks and glossy eyes, you knew that it was him.

Next week, at this time it's going to be my baby's birthday *cries*. Lol, it's super rainy and cold and I woke up feeling really soft thinking about lazy Saturday mornings with Gio, before the kids, just a young couple devoted to each other. They sleep in, eventually tearing themselves away from bed when they get hungry, the staff at the villa make themselves scarce and the team knows not to disturb them. They don't always get time to just relax with each other away from Bri's philanthropic interests and Giogios Passione, so when they do find the time it's precious.
