“Why does she have a pink bow taped to her head?” I'm not sure how many times it has happened, but I know it happens to almost every parent.

Once a week, I drop my daughter off at her grandmother’s house to hang out for about four hours, which allows me to run a few errands. So, today I dropped my daughter off and went to Lowe’s to pick up fertilizer and seeds. Being new at this, I asked the employee for advice and ended up buying Kellogg Topper Soil and Pennington Fairway Classic seeds, so hopefully they work out. It wasn’t until I was at the check-out line that I realized that I left my wallet in the diaper bag (back at grandma’s house). Ugh! Of course, they live on the other side of town, so I didn’t have time to run back and grab it; so instead, I run home and grab a check (haven’t used one of those in awhile). Ok, back at Lowes, at the check-out line (they were nice enough to hold my items), and now they need my ID (of course!). Luckily, they just needed the drivers license numbers, so I had my parents read them off to me over the phone.

I finally make it home (an hour and half later), to start my project. Normally, I do yard work and clean the house all in one day, but I knew I was going to spend my whole time in the backyard for this adventure. So, what normally takes me about an hour, took me four hours to cut, rake, fertilize, seed, rake again, and then water the yard.
It wouldn’t have been that bad, if it wasn’t 95 degrees out (can you guess where I live?).  Yes, I know, if I was smart, I would do it in the morning when it’s not so hot out. But when you have a kid, you work around the babysitter’s schedule, so I was out when the sun was highest. Overall, I think I did an okay job for my first time. I do think I should have bought more fertilizer, but I guess I’ll just wait and see how it turns out, and plan better next time (with my wallet).

Everyone seems to have something that they collect. Whether it is trading cards, hot wheels, guitars, crystals, or even guns. I know that last week, Elvis Presley’s Personal ‘T.C.B.’ Revolver was up for auction for $95k, so for those people who are gun collectors, I would imagine that it is a must have (if you have extra money to spare). So it got me thinking of what I’ve collected. I definitely have some things I’ve bought that probably won’t be found in the next person’s home.
When I was a kid, I know I loved the idea of trying to “collect” beanie babies. I had a friend whose family attempted to do this. In their basement they had a whole wall dedicated to beanie babies, all in their own plastic display box, stacked on each other. I have no idea what they did with theirs, but you can sell some for about $10-$20, and some up to $1k. I would hope they sold them for a good price, because I used to be so jealous of their collection.
Anime
Yu-Gi-Oh Cards (1 box)
As most kids, I collected Pokemon cards, but eventually gave them away. My husband, wasn’t much of a collector on Pokemon cards, but he did, and still does, collect Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Last year, I actually helped him alphabetize his whole set, which I would guess was around 10,000 cards, at least. We bought specialty boxes and separated them by card type (Magic, Trap, Monster, XYZ, etc). It was a daunting task and I was afraid it was going to take about a few months to organize, but it surprisingly only took us about two weekends.
Statue’s
Roy Mustang Kotobukiya
Now, I would say that Devon and my collection has turned into anything “Pop Culture”. This includes video games (from NES to current), Yu-Gi-Oh cards, anime, plushes, swords, and statues (particularly KOTOBUKIYA). I love that it isn’t anything specific, but rather anything that interests us. We have run out of room (again!) in our cabinets for our statues, so we will eventually need to limit our statue purchases (not so likely), or get another, larger cabinet (most likely to happen).
Let’s Add Another to the Collection Everyone seems to have something that they collect. Whether it is trading cards, hot wheels, guitars, crystals, or even guns.

Had a pretty uneventful weekend. The family and I went miniature golfing, where I let my husband win. Alright, not really, I lost by five strokes. But, in my defense, I didn’t have my morning coffee,so I was not in the best of moods. Next time, I will have to take it more seriously, he sure likes to brag about it, and my competitive nature really wants to win next time.
Other than that, we got to spend most of the weekend together. It’s always nice to have family time, it’s actually very relaxing. Plus, we finally got a chance to watch The Babysitter (2017) on Netflix. If you’re looking for a good comedy horror for Halloween, this one is for you. In most slasher’s, the young, hot female character is usually weak, dumb, and one of the first one’s to die. But in this movie, she is the Big Bad. She was actually a really good babysitter, I would have loved to have had such a fun babysitter, especially if she looked like a young Denise Richards. The young boy really brings in the comedy with his snide remarks and quick wit.
Lastly, one of the greatest things did happen on Sunday. My daughter turned 10 months old, so she decided it was time to start crawling on her knees. She’s pretty much was a master at the army crawl, but it was amazing to watch her learn to crawl on all fours. She had a few trial and errors in the morning, but by the end of the night she was a crawling machine. It’s crazy that babies pick things up so fast, at their own pace. She wasn’t even showing interest in crawling on her knees until yesterday, where she just picked it up naturally. I love watching her grow up, but it’s happening too fast.

Only 11 days until Halloween. I believe I’ve already stated that Devon and I won’t be dressing up, but since it is my daughter’s first Halloween, I will dress her up. At this age, I get to choose her costume, so it was a pretty big decision. Now, all year I was having some debate for awhile as to what to dress her up. I have gone from Blue (Blue’s Clues), an Ewok (Star Wars), Gizmo (Gremlins), to Jaba the Hutt (Star Wars), Jigsaw (Saw), or even just a Werewolf.
It wasn’t until August, that she got up from a nap with the greatest bed head that I realized what I wanted her to be. Now, she’s too young to go trick or treating, and no one will probably see her, so I wanted to be able to make a costume at a low cost. Luckily, with the character I chose, I could find everything at a local Goodwill. I’ve been pretty busy, and I kept telling myself that Halloween is still a ways off, so I never really focused on it.
But Yesterday was the day, I finally went to Goodwill, and lo and behold, they had everything I needed. Since they didn’t have everything in her size, I’m gonna have to make some alterations, but that’s no big deal. I’m just glad I bought everything for only six bucks! I did decide to order a teething football for her to complete the outfit, but this Halloween, I think she’s going to make a pretty awesome Ace Ventura: Pet Detective (the tutu version)!
All Righty Then Only 11 days until Halloween. I believe I've already stated that Devon and I won't be dressing up, but since it is my daughter's first Halloween, I will dress her up.

Jump Up, Super Star
Jump Up, Super Star
Next week, Super Mario Odyssey will be released and I can’t wait. I have loved all of the Mario adventure games, starting with Super Mario 64. Many people remember the mission to return the baby penguin to it’s mother, and I know most of us always threw the baby penguin off the edge if it wasn’t the right one. My favorite stage was actually the  first one: Bob-omb Battlefield. Yes, it was the

Let’s get down to business

One of the best things about being a mom to a 10 month old is that I get to choose her toys and decorations, for now. Most of what I have chosen are items that I love. I have added Harry Potter quotes from the Sorting Hats Song above her changing table, pictures of the Pokemon starters above her dresser, I created a Mario mobile that hung above her crib, and I’ve even found a Super Mario Bros. Alphabet poster.
She may not even be interested in my hobbies when she gets older, but I love that I get to introduce her to it now. One of the fandoms that I want to introduce her to is anime. Now, most anime isn’t appropriate for a young child. For those fans, you may know that many are focused on the classic “panty shot” to enlarged breasts, extreme violence, or to the inappropriate language at times, but not all anime has these suggestive themes. However, because the audience is for teenagers to young adults, it makes it difficult to find anime appropriate for her. Meanwhile, I have given her my plushies for her to enjoy. Most are put away, since they contain choking hazards, but they are there for her when she is ready.
As for the shows, since she isn’t very interested in the TV, I still watch Crunchyroll, so she doesn’t hear any inappropriate language, but I have started a couple of episodes of  Sergeant Frog. She loves the colors, and the voice of Keroro and his pals, plus I get to enjoy the ridiculous humor and get a break from Disney movies.
I’ll Make a Fan Out of you Let's get down to business... One of the best things about being a mom to a 10 month old is that I get to choose her toys and decorations, for now.

Weekend Update: Need a Mida
Weekend Update: Need a Mida
So the bad news first: our D&D group did not reach WaveEcho cave. We barely made it to Thundertree, raided a couple houses, and punted a few blight twigs around. So, you know, four hours of good D&D totally worth it. The good news: our Destiny team finally beat The Trails of the Nine over the weekend. This just proved that you really need the right gear to get ahead of the other players. For
