Minnie always made time for Mickey, even if it wasn’t like it used to be. Sometimes it wasn’t the easiest to be around her ex; mostly because her heart still longed for him and he was her practical soulmate. It was for the best, though. She knew that she needed to do this and be strong and put the House of Mouse first. So when they sat down for their meeting she went straight into work mode. She was discussing the new menu and everything concerning it when he had asked her to repeat it all. She sighed, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “Mickey…you need to focus. We are planning a pretty big change to the House of Mouse. Everything needs to be perfect.” She flipped back to the start of her notes. “We were discussing a potential theme for the menu. We had our customers send in what they wanted to see and what they wanted to keep. The classic Mouse-Ka-Tool meal is still a go. The sweethearts deal is still a go. And the dessert menu is everything they have always wanted.”

“Oh, right, right of course.” He shook his head and smiled to himself. “How foolish of me. You’re right. I need to focus. I’ve always struggled with that at times.” Though he was more so distracted by her at the moment. As much as he denied how much his heart ached for her when he was around her he would always suffer through it, just so long as he could see her and call her a friend. “Those two things have always been great options. We came up with them together.” As he picked the copy of the menu up he looked over it. “You’re brilliant,” he said after a minute. “I mean, this is.” He set it down then picked up the dessert menu. “You’ve added a Valentine’s special and dessert. This is all amazing. It’s perfect.” He looks back up at Minnie and smiles. “How could any one complain?”

Tim didn’t really go out often, but he was starting to feel like that needed to change. He didn’t want to be a hermit, he just busied himself with work and other things, and put socializing on the backburner. Which led to loneliness. He wasn’t sure he’d make any friends while he was out or see anyone he knew but at the very least, taking a break from the cars he was working on would probably give his mind and his hands some relief. And his back. Lying on the concrete floor was harder than it used to be. “Sour Patch Kids?” Tim repeated with a chuckle. He had other plans, but now… “Well, now I gotta try that. You got me all kinds of curious.”

It was always a nice change of pace to see Tim wander into the House of Mouse. Mickey liked the guy but wish he’d put himself out there more. He had a smile on his face as he leaned against the bar and nodded. “Yes, sir. It’s pretty tasty, if I do say so myself. I can even spike it for you if you’d like. Between you and I, I prefer it with a bit of vodka.” Mickey chuckled softly. The choice is yours though.” He grabbed a clean glass and filled it with ice, waiting to see if Tim did want it with alcohol or not. “Regardless, it’s great. Not to toot my own horn or anything.”

Seeing Minnie was always a pleasure for Mickey. He adored and cared for the woman very much. She was as sweet as honey and Mickey was always melting at the sight of her. She was still his friend, despite the relationship they had, and for that he was thankful. He had gotten lost in thought for a moment and came back to reality and remembered the task they had on hand, planning an event for the House of Mouse. “I’m sorry, can you repeat that? I lost my train of thought for a moment,” he admitted. Mickey offered Minnie an apologetic smile. “I know we were talking about the menu choices,” he said, but that was about as much as he could remember from where they had left off. “But, please, continue.”

Mickey was a very humble man. That didn’t mean he wasn’t proud of his success. The House of Mouse was his pride and joy and he took the business seriously. Well, not too much. He still had to have an element of fun to himself! It was only afternoon and all the kids who had just gotten out of school were flocking to the arcade while their parents enjoyed a drink or appetizer while they played. It was a sight that made Mickey feel happy and warm inside and he couldn’t help but smile as he glanced over the patrons in the establishment. He was behind the bar, drying some glasses when someone walked up. With a smile on his face Mickey set the now dried glass down and walked over to them. “Hello,” he greeted warmly. “Can I get you anything? Water? We have a mixed lemonade on special. The secret ingredient in it makes it tastes like Sour Patch Kids!” It was an idea he’d come up with himself and it’d been a hit with the younger crowd. That didn’t mean he wouldn’t offer it to any adult that came up to him. “I can give you a menu as well. Take your time!” 

INTRODUCING MICKEY MOUSE. A WARLOCK FROM ECHO CREEK.

The name Mickey Mouse has become a household name in Animania. The man has put his heart and soul into his home and wants nothing but to better it and keep the magic of the place alive. Before all that though he was just a young lad, growing up in a warm home, and practicing magic under the great Merlin. The people he grew up looking up to were amazing people and that rubbed off on him. Even from a young age Mickey had a kind, warm heart. He would always help his elderly neighbor carry in their groceries and put them away. Every spider or household pest he saw he was humanely trap and set free. The man doesn’t have an ounce of evil in him. He’s purely good of heart.

Mickey is probably the most selfless guy around. He’d give the clothes on his back if someone needed them more than him. He’s always helping those in need and is very generous with the charities he partakes in. Mickey would never gloat or brag about it though. He’s a very humble person. Blushes very easily and is flustered from the simplest things. Definitely uses his classic “oh gosh” and terms like “jeez,” “darn it,” “cheese and crackers,” and if he’s really angry then he does slip out a “mother fucker” here and there. Though him being that angry doesn’t come very often.

Growing up with the best friends he asked for had a huge impact on how Mickey is today. Without having such solid, wholesome people around he doesn’t think he could have ever achieved everything he’s done. If it weren’t for them the House of Mouse would have never came to be. Neither would have his success in Animania as a whole.

As much as Donald, Goofy, and Daisy are the most amazing friends there will always be a very special place in his heart that will only ever be reserved for Minnie. She’s the best person Mickey could have asked to walk into his life. She always has the right answers and she makes his heart flutter every time he sees her smile. Even to this day he feels like a lovesick puppy. It crushed him when she saw him kissing that woman. How could he even explain himself even if it was a misunderstanding? He would never have intentionally hurt Minnie.

After Minnie, understandably, broke things off he felt so low for a while. There wasn’t the same pep in his walk or melodic charm in his laugh. He trudged through it best he could but there were some nights he felt so lonely he didn’t know how to carry on. Probably had a few too many drunken nights during his low period but once he was back up and moving he was back to his normal self. Of course he still misses her, but he knows this space is good for them and she will always be apart of his life no matter what.

Being a warlock had it’s perks, but having the master of the art of magic as a teacher did too. He was expertly trained by Merlin for years as his apprentice and did well to do his magic studies. Sure, he did great in regular school too but he always cared a little more about his lessons with Merlin. So, when Merlin retired and Mickey took over he was more than happy to oblige. He felt like he had nearly perfected his skills and could do even some of the more expert spells that Merlin himself created.

Mickey never really had a huge interest in being in politics. He doesn’t want to be anyone in office but has always graciously offered his opinions and help to the mayors of Animania. Some have said he should be the mayor of Echo Creek but he has always modestly said he would never do it. Besides, being someone so involved in the community felt more rewarding and personal.

When he was in school still he took on theatre as a hobby. He starred in many of the school plays and musicals. Every so often he gives his shot at a local play because he does enjoy it, but never tried to make a career out of it. Animania needed him to be who he is today, not another star. Sometimes he wonders where life would have taken him had he went that route but doesn’t ponder on it too much because he loves the life he has now and is thankful for it.

He lives in a house. Nothing ridiculously crazy large even though he could have it if he wanted. It’s spacious enough for him and the dog so that’s what matters. Fenced in yard, spare bedroom, just a few extra little things that make it cozy but not quite lavish.

He loves to indulge in a cigar every now and then. Paired with a cold old fashioned is what he prefers.

He’s just trying to be the best he can be and do the best he can for Animania. Now that the borders have expanded he’d like to know more about the surrounding towns and their history. He’s a bit wary of New Salem but would love to expand his help to the new towns as he has with Echo Creek and such.

The House of Mouse is his pride and joy. He takes his business very seriously. His vision was for it to always be a welcoming environment for everyone. The arcade room was a hit and sometimes he likes to host events and such for tournaments. He loves throwing all sorts of events for the place. Some for kids, some for adults, and some for everyone! He just wants to make his community happy.

✨ Biography:

If there was ever a guy that cared more about Animania than himself, it was Mickey. He grew up in a loving household that dedicated their life to giving back to their community and it rubbed off on Mickey in the best of ways. He was a warlock in training and when he was just a boy he got to start training with the greatest magical being in Animania, the great wizard Merlin. Merlin was like a second father to Mickey and taught him the path of light magic. Mickey was a very promising protégé and worked his butt off to be as good as he is now. He also had the support of his very best friends to help him get by. Donald and Goofy were his best friends since he was a kid and it wasn’t long before Minnie and Daisy were added to the mix. Mickey never knew what it was like to really be in love before Minnie. She was….everything he could ever want in a partner. She was his voice of reason, his muse, and his reason to be a better person. The two of them were like the missing pieces of a puzzle and everything felt right when he was with her. All of his friends were the reason he was the person he was really. When Merlin retired and needed a group of people to look after Animania, he asked Mickey and his friends to take on the mantle. Mickey did happily and now they were the people that the mayors turned to when they needed it most. Mickey being one of the most powerful people in Animania did help with that. That plus his charity work made him a really big public figure to Animania and with his friends by his side he felt like he could really do anything, no matter what the challenges were. 

As he got older, he really wanted to use his wealth and his recourses to help out the community more, and so the House of Mouse was born. It was a restaurant and an entertainment center; with a huge arcade and a stage for local talent. Mickey loved hosting and his pals Goofy and Donald were the co-owners. They put their heart and soul into the joint and it was really doing well. They located it in Echo Creek because they felt that was the heart of Animania and people from all over Animania would come to have a great time there. Mickey at his core is a people pleaser and he really has a hard time telling people no. This has backfired in his face when he was caught kissing a woman that was not Minnie after she had persisted for a kiss on the cheek. He had been tricked and Minnie had seen and then she broke up with him and it threw him off his game for a little while. As hard as he tried he was not a perfect person and even though he spends every single day apologizing to Minnie, he is letting her have his space. The two of them have been together since they were kids, so it made sense to let them both explore who they were without each other. Despite all of that, he has somehow managed to keep her friendship and that in itself means the world to him. The older he gets the more he is ready to settle down and have a family of his own but he knows Minnie needs a little more time. So until then he focuses on his work and getting along with the people of Animania. He will always lend a hand to someone who needs it and is fiercely loyal to everyone until they give him a reason not to be. Mickey is as much of the heart of Animania as the rest of the people, he just has yet to see it.

Estella Miller: He used to care for the woman greatly. She was a close friend and someone he greatly admired. And then she turned to more sinister tactics and he had to let her go. He really fought for her, but in the end, she hurt him bad.

Holley Shiftwell: He has a complicated relationship with Holley. On one hand, he is very wary of her agency and what they are set out to do. On the other hand, he had drunkenly hooked up with her before so now things are….weird.

Roger Rabbit: He is one of his closest friends! He loves the guy and his comedy club. He has even gotten Roger to perform at the House Of Mouse every now and then. He is the best to hang around!
