i had a day off, so i binged all epidodes of arsenal's all or nothing documentary, and i was so emotional during the whole day in general, that watching the documentary w all arteta's motivational screams talks and how much love and passion he puts into everything made me ball my eyes out. ive spent the entire day crying.
i went to talk to my parents and they got mad at me, a fully grown adult, of being hangover, when the only hangover im going to have is my red eyes next morning.

this is just a reminder that you are valid and worthy. you can put yourself to do whatever you love to do, no matter what grades you get or how you do academically.
a person is so much more that that.
why am i saying this?
because 7 years ago, i was a teenage girl locked inside a bathroom cubicle crying because i was failing every single class, and my friends were all getting straight A’s. i promised myself i would do what i wanted to do, to prove to myself that i was capable to prove everyone wrong.
i stand now here, showering after assisting a successful brain surgery, finishing medical school. i’ve worked so hard, cried so much, and faced so many challenges; but i’ve also learned that i’m much more than a “Dr.” before my name.
i’ve found myself, my potential, and the will to be the best person i can possibly be. it’s not about the goal itself, it’s about becoming the best version of yourself, and to become that, you don’t need to get all A’s, because at the end of the day, no one is going to remember you for what grade you got in your math test, but how good of a person you are. and believe me, the better person you become, the better your life itself will be.
you’re worth everything you have and will have. it doesn’t matter what circumstances you’re in, what your capacities, your abilities etc. don’t compare to other people, because it doesn’t make any difference to your own personal life.
im proud of you. if no one tells you that, let me tell you . i’m so fucking proud. people hurt you, fuck you up, and you’re still here, working day after day, in this cruel world. you’re still kind, passionate, you’re still loving and it’s just amazing.
im really proud. say that to yourself as well. look in the mirror and yell it out. i’m so fucking proud.
