No! I'm your father, do you know who likes things like that? Hormonal teenage boys. You're a young lady, act like it!
Topless Tuesday?
Let’s see what dad thinks?

He held onto her, nodding, giving soothing noises. "I'll… I'll be here as long as you need me. But he will pay, and I promise that. I will make him pay for what he did… you're… You're my world, Verity. Your'e my daughter, and I love you…" He closed his eyes, holding her, and sighed when she spoke. "You don't understand, do you? You.. You're so strong and brave, and I am proud of you. There is no need to have to want to do what I did… I should have died, but I didn't. You're here because of that and I'm more than glad."

“Look,” Steve said, taking her hand. “This is not your fault.” There would be absolutely no victim blaming in his house, and he would make sure of it. “I… I’m just horrified that I wasn’t able to be there to protect you…” It was taking everything in Steve to stay calm, everything in his might. As soon as he was alone, that would be a different story. But for now, he needed to be strong. “No one ever…. ever asks for anything like that. I’ll… I’ll get him, Verity. I swear.”

Steve froze. He just froze, unsure of what to say, how to react. His daughter went, willingly, with the red skull? And he… he… Took advantage of her? That one phrase could mean so much, entail so much, suggest so much that Steve didn’t know if he could handle it. His baby girl… and that man… he just…
No. That man would not get away with this. Shaking, he held Verity tight, kissing the top of her head. “Don’t worry, Verity…. don’t worry…. I’ll.. I’ll handle this…” He pulled away after a moment and said, “… H-how… How long ago?” He hated asking this question, but he needed to know if taking her to the hospital and getting a rape kit done would do any good at this point…

Verity sat in her dad’s kitchen waiting for him to return home. She had some grave news to tell him and knew it wouldn’t be pretty. Most likely he would start yelling and want to go kill the man. Swallowing hard she tucked her long blonde hair behind her eyes as she looked out the window. Then she heard the door open. It had been days since she had seen her father and now she finally would. Moving into the living room where the door was, she immediately ran to him and hugged him tightly. “Dad!” She said happily before burying her face in his chest. Then she pulled away and looked at him seriously. “W-We need to talk…”

Steve was in shock, there was no other way to say it. When Verity ran into the room, he had a mixture of anger and relief- mainly relief. He took her happily into his arms, dropping the bags of food that he had bought, and held her. "Verity… you're here." He held her, then froze when she said that they needed to speak. He pulled away, arms still holding her.
"Are you alright? Where did you go? I was terrified…"

Hello, Ma'am. Same to you as well. May I ask, what's your name?

"Stop speaking," he said softly, trying to still the blood. It wasn't like he hadn't seen people die before. People died every single day in his line of work. But this was different. This was his daughter, the girl that use found him, that he just found. He could not lose her.
"It'll be okay. You'll be okay. I'm here. Dad's here."
Could he really be saying these words to her? How could he promise her that it would be okay. He heard sirens in the background and thanked God that someone had the right idea to call an ambulance. As they took her, telling him she would be alright and climbed in the back of the ambulance, he could do nothing but think, somehow, this was his fault.
Verity felt arms around her and when she noticed who they belonged to, she so badly wanted to fight against him and tell him to leave. But she couldn't. He was her father afterall. Instead she curled closer and buried her face in his chest. Tears poured out of her eyes and stained his shirt, leaving wet spots where her eyes had been. "I'm sorry, dad...I'm so sorry." Was all she could say as she wept, angry with herself for even thinking she could fight like him. After all, he was a super soldier and she was just an average teen.
Pulling her head up she looked at him. "T..The side." She whispered, moving her hand to reveal the bloody wound. "Daddy...I...I didn't mean for this to happen. I wanted to show you...Show you I could be like you. I can't...I just can't." Verity's hand gripped his shirt tightly as more tears happened. But the more tears, the less oxygen she had to breathe. She was dying, and fast. "D...Dad." Verity breathed, wincing softly. "Don't let me die..." She said, on the verge of passing out from loss of blood.
