This is a very tiny detail, but I was looking through the X-Ray Trivia section of @goodomensonprime on @primevideo and S2E2 has a typo in the title of the Italian song that inspired “You Don't Have to Say You Love Me” by Dusty Springfield. The actual title is “Io che non vivo (senza te)” (literal translation: “I, who can't live (without you)”). The song was written by Pino Donaggio and Vito Pallavicini.

Oh, and fun fact: you don't have to capitalise the first letter of each word of a title in Italian (we don't do that).

So, Pride Month is over, and it was an absolute blast-- and guess what? Right when everyone else is winding down and catching their breath, I come rolling in with a brilliant idea! 🎨💡

I love the fact that Jim hates their disguise. As a non-binary person, I have often felt uneasy with my own “natural” appearance. People take one look at me and make all sorts of assumptions based on what they believe my fucking genitals to be. What that does is, it triggers your “fight or bite response”. In an effort to not be perceived as something, you try to go for the opposite. And for some people it works, to various degrees – which is great, we love seeing more of that in media –, but for some of us it doesn’t, and it’s a whole different experience of transness, filled with its own specific brand of self-doubt. Jim is only able to define themselves as “not-x” and that touched my heart and gave me something I needed. I will be forever grateful to this show and to everyone involved. Thank you for giving us this story.

Since I’ve gained quite a few followers lately, then maybe this won’t feel like screaming into the void, for once.

So, here’s the announcement: I have recently started my adventure as a freelance translator and it is my intention is to blog about it.
