i think about the player overwriting kris's file at the beginning of the game a lot.
even if you start over, the file name no longer says "kris". it's [empty]. kris's file is gone for good after you overwrite it. this is impactful even if kris has never saved before because that save file in slot 1 was still theirs. it had their name on it. it was theirs.
i wonder how it would feel like. to not only have your body hijacked but having something like a save file, something that is for the most part considered your private safety net, something that means power over your own fate, something that you feel uneasy going without... just torn away from you. erased. overhauled. not to be seen again even after time is turned back.
would losing it feel more horrific than losing control of your body?

I found the sketch of the old version of this artwork and finished it. Man, that one was a year ago! I will make more, but they will be more simple and funneh/horror-y.
Also migrane-induced headcanon of the day: If Gaster turns out to be evil and we won't stay on his side at the end, one of the ending credits will contain Gaster's cover of I will survive by Gloria Gaynor.

also i really want to inspect the brains of those folks who say kris is middle school aged. they are in the same class as berdly and catti, who both have jobs, and temmie, who is actively preparing to graduate and go to college. i get that its a small school in a small town but come on now
#late high school as well. 10th grade/15ish is the youngest i can reasonably see#this is def informed by labor laws lol. i don't think around here kids younger than that Can have jobs except w family businesses#also the deal with berdly and noelle suggests that they're at least gearing up to apply for college#and im assuming that their school system is based off the american one bc 1. toby's american 2. earthbound influence#but if you're in say the uk it makes sense you'd assume a few years younger from the college thing#outside of that just how they act makes me think 16-17ish 🤷♂️ vibes or whatever#and i like the idea that asriel & dess are/were 2-3 years older than kris & noelle
