Tumtigger's and fun thoughts to debate
Today's subject: Adaptation vs Evolution. One proposes that all things existed and "adapted" through time to better survive the world they live in. The other proposes that over millions of years entire species selectively bread themselves into extinction by "evolving" geneticly dominant traits, or mutations in the genome, to carry on a more substantially rooted lifeform. E.g. of each are as follows: Homosapiens have always been homosapiens and adapted a taller body, and more condensed brain in order to thrive through its own advancements. Bacterium formed billions of years ago, and proceeded to evolve and differentialize into every known organism thriving to date. Go!

I bring to question the ethics of all officers in the force right now. Being apart of a police family going back generations I have, at a minimum, fair knowledge of the operation guidelines and protocol of officers today.
Why is it that the officer disregarded the statements of the two witnesses present? Why is it that a 12-year veteran of the Long Beach Police Department, could not ascertain with any reasonable decency that the suspect was disoriented and unable to communicate his problems? Why would a 12-year veteran need to take or use his flashlight as a physical weapon against a suspect with no weapons available, and injured to a point of being very incapable of resisting? These questions and many more will get a very ran around and sideways answer, but they are questions of relevance. Why would a police officer seek to harm, maim, or kill any civilian that it is their utmost duty to ensure the safety of? Violence against police officers rising has been blamed in large part for these actions and similar actions noted across the country. However, even someone who has grown up with police officers as family, I still feel uncomfortably in danger when a PO is in my vicinity. Why is that a shared feeling by so many civilians that PO's are to protect?
