South Argentina is led by Jorge Anaya who remains committed to Argentina's best interest and helping their ally USSR.
Mendez originally helped start the civil war that led to this state but agreed to go on the 1982 Rainbow Tour after the states settled down. He is to be married to the Spanish Princess.

Something Biblical
The weird weather phenomenons continue in England. First it rained flyers ... not it's raining bouncy balls from another set of aircraft.
The English Channel dyed red, FROGS, lice balloons dropping flyers, sheep viruses, BOILs and now bouncy balls. God is that you?
The English people are starting to fear these signs.
Cuba Dos
Cuba has successfully invaded Mexico, not officially called Cuba Dos because in response to the Federation Cuba has decided it too can gain power!
The VOTE
Before the vote happened the IRA bombed a British Government building ... but someone told them to do, helped them do it. Who?

The New Face of Argentina
Argentina remains committed to their new democracy and is currently talking to the US about the threat of the FSU.
However, there is still strong dissent in Argentina with factions for Mendez, Anaya, and Casalleno despite all working together to transition the government.

In Memoriam

Galtieri Gone
In hopes that the new leader will be will working to work with them , the British have agreed to a ceasefire in hopes to avoid more lives lost on either side.
The election will take place between Casalleno and Anaya (w/ results to come in next update)
During this time the Falklands will also be having a vote to decide their sovereignty
Security has been beefed up around both candidates.

Still unsure of what is making people sick, but they all received the same treatment
As the fighting has so far taken place in skirmishes around the the island, the citizens remain unharmed in their homes
The sheep deaths seem to be related to that Catholic-Socialist Movement ... but the good news is that the virus seems to have been false and did not kill the sheep only meant to appear harmful enough to collapse that part of the economy.
As countries are joining the FSU through referendums, it's legal :)

First the English Channel, now the Sheep in the Argentina! The sheep in Argentina have been dyed red to show the strong alliance between the USSR and their Argentine allies
Does this mean Argentina also shows support for the Iran-Iraq conflict that the USSR is escalating?
However, the sheep seem to be overgrazing, suggesting that this industry is on the decline ... something we're not sure if the Junta can handle

British go BOOM (sorta)
Mines placed by the Argentine armed forces have sunk several British Battleships.
However, fleets from France and reinforcements from Britain have already taken their place. The stage is set for an all out conflict.
Fans of the Federation
The Federation has expanded to include Bolivia, Paraguay and Venezuela. Terry continues to grow his power and influence outside the Falklands dispute.
We're all in this together
Through a multi-national campaign, South America has united against imperialism and colonialism and denouncing European influence in the region. The whole continent stands against the west.
Baba Yaga
Hope of peaceful resolutions regarding the Falklands has popped in Argentina and the Federation.

Galtieri is nowhere to be found on the ground as his Nation is in turmoil. Remember the sovereign-TEA party?

HUGE military movements
The British are calling on all their allies to swiftly defeat Argentina, but pledge to keep nuclear arms out of the war.

The United States has been caught trying to play both sides
The CIA has been confirmed to be providing funds to Argentina while publicly backing Britain.
Plus, despite things going well for Argentina, a large group of citizens disagree with the course of the Nation. They seem ready to fight.
FROGs on the Loose?
A religious sect has started promoting messages throughout Britain that God seeks to act in favor of Argentina and people are listening. Who is sponsoring this? We think it was that church spreading commie propaganda early on.
The Fighting Federation
After the British won the first battle, anti- British protests are on the rise in the Federation. Could we see another nation's armed forces be brought into the midst? But NOT Chile, they are at peace with Argentina ('for now').

The Soviets are still waging war in the Middle East and flying the Argentina Flag to show their support.

Artifacts were found in the Falkland Islands proving that Argentina is the rightful owner in the eyes of international community.
The Falklanders also voted in the referendum to become part of Argentina in a shocking move. Especially since there are reports that people are leaving those public health clinics seriously sick, more so than when they went in.

A US tomahawk missile was fired from an undisclosed location in the Atlantic Ocean unto the Falklands. Fortunately, there were no causalities. But why would the US do this? Are they betraying their UK counterparts?
The British Fleet is closing in on the Falklands. Between Argentina and Britain who will strike first?
Either way, there will be no peaceful days on the Falklands in the foreseeable future.

Crisis #4
Some Wins for the British
The British have declared a join naval force with the Danish and Norwegians in hopes that having sure defense of their homeland. Thus, they have begun moving to defend the Falklands. US and British navies were spotted refueling in French Guinea on their way to the Falklands. In addition, Chilean ships now stand between Argentina and the Falklands, leaving the Beagle Channel undefended once again.
Lastly, Sir Anthony Parsons has humbly accepted fault for the hijacked shipment saying that it should have been secure.
Argentina Makes Moves
Argentina has established bases dedicated to improving the life quality of the Falklanders in attempt to win their approval. Part of this new movement include establishing a public health clinic for Falklanders during these trying times and will include standard inoculations against seasonal illnesses. In addition, Argentina and the USSR have joined forces to in the 'Patagonia Procedure' to investigate the history of the Falklands to determine who first inhabited the island.
Argentina opposes elections on the island because the current state makes it improbable for a fair election to occur. And calls on other nations to recognize that any 3rd Party nations attempting to moderate this referendum probably has ulterior motives.
Elsewhere in the world....
Peru, Ecuador and Colombia have made the Estado Unitario de Hispanoamerica to create a large state with pro-Argentine sentiments headed by Fernando Terry.

The British are NOT coming ... at least to Iran.
Argentina hijacked a British shipment to Iraq and distributed British weapons to Iran. The news is breaking all over the war about Argentina's actions and rumor is it came from an inside source. Argentina, watch your back. Additionally, Karma may be coming for them as several pirate ships have been spotted near the Falklands.
The Argentine flag is also flying over the USSR embassy in Kabul. Does this signify USSR support for their actions? Is the USSR intentionally scaling up conflict?
Another group of concern — the IRA. Several members are now in Argentine jail for attempting to the bomb the Presidential Palace. We are unsure of their affiliation and why they attempted this currently.
Lastly, Cuba, USSR, Argentina, and Peru were spotted running join military exercises as socialistic ideations begin to gain popularity throughout Latin America. These countries are also in a non-aggression pact.

A summary of recent events
Argentina has successfully invaded the Falklands, with little to no resistance from the British. Additionally, their troops appear more seasoned than expected. Conflict will be more of challenge than Britain perhaps anticipated. However, satellite images report that Argentina has removed their airfare from their shared border with Chile. Will any protect the native Falklanders? Just how much does Britain care about their citizens?
Meanwhile, across the globe, the Iran-Iraq war enters its second year. To everyone's surprise, British Challenger tanks and weapons are being used by Iran against the Iraqi army. Saddam Hussein has issued an official protest condemning the British government and demands an explanation for what he calls "obvious and insidious arms smuggling to a hostile government". It appears conflicts are heating up all around the globe.
Then again we're not quite sure why there's a shortage of black licorice jellybeans in Europe either. Or why there's a new Catholic Church spreading socialist propaganda in England.
In other wordily news, Pablo Escobar won a seat in the Colombian Congress! Oh and Peru's newspaper is a hit!
