Patterns
Already started on those new years resolutions… here are the first test samples of my new project. Handmade clay discs using the same colours and patterns as my paintings. It’s nice to be able to work on a smaller scale and still feel true to my process. Looking to build up to making larger more detailed surface designs after testing these out. If you see anything you like, my etsy will be open…

Dorothy Ashby
Lately I’ve been falling head over heels with music again. After a long period of depression I lost touch with a lot of things I used to love. I have struggled to paint and have been neglecting my jazz collection. That’s the thing about the black dog; everything fades into the abyss, and you can’t remember where you came from, and have no idea where you’re going. I’ve very much had a few years of…

Lately, I’ve been rediscovering music I’d forgotten about.
Definitely has to be one of my top five breakup songs. But from the viewpoint of not so much being sad, but more a little f*** you…
Birth name Dorothy Jeanne Thompson Born August 6, 1930 Detroit, Michigan, U.S. Died April 13, 1986 (aged 55) Santa Monica, California, U.S. Genres Jazz Occupation(s) Musician Instruments Harp, piano, koto Dorothy Jeanne Thompson (August 6, 1930 – April 13, 1986), better known as Dorothy Ashby, was an American jazz harpist and composer.[1] Ashby extended the popularization of jazz harp past a novelty, showing how the instrument can be utilized seamlessly as much a bebop instrument as the saxophone. Her albums were of the jazz genre, but often moved into R&B, world and other musics, especially on her 1970 album The Rubaiyat of Dorothy Ashby, where she demonstrates her talents on another instrument, the Japanese koto, successfully integrating it into jazz.

Artist Immeserses Gown In The Dead Sea For 2 Years And It Transforms Into a Salt Crystal Masterpiece
Tumblr media
Israeli artist Sigalit Landau decided to submerge herself into the mystery and effects of the Dead Sea. She dipped a down in the salt-rich waters in 2014, and recently removed it to be seen for display. The results are a stunning crystallized dress, which seems nothing short of surreal and straight from a fairy tale. Take a look below at the uncanny images.

So many things have happened. You’ve finally become the man I had hoped for. But, alas… …I am no longer among the living. Such is the way of the world.
