“I doubt that.” There was a difference between their father not noticing they were using an abandoned part of the manor and him not realizing Jonathan Kent was lying to his face. Or that Damian and Jon’s stories didn’t match up. That was something that would cause him to potentially go poking more into Damian’s activities. And hers by extension.
“Because for right now, while we’re trying this whole sidekick thing out, you’re working on a need to know basis. So the recent files are what you need to know.”
It would be hard for their father to not see right though Jon if he had to get involved but it didn’t necessarily mean their father would assume correctly what they were doing. Their father was an amazing detective but some things could slip passed even the best detectives. “As I said, I’ll handle it if it comes to it.”
Damian tried hard not to roll his eyes at his sister. “And what if one of the recent files has a connection to a past and I’m left unaware? Would you not rather have someone who’s fully knowledgeable to cover all bases?”

And then you’re going to be in the hot seat.” Something that made Helena wonder just how long it would take Damian to throw her under the bus.
“Fine.” He had a point there. “But only the recent case files. Nothing else.”
“I’ll handle that if it comes to it,“ though she was correct; his acquaintance couldn’t tell a decent lie to save his life. Which seemed insane to him given exactly who his father was. “Father may never notice.“ It was potentially unlikely but he also hadn’t noticed his daughter and son had found their way into the bat cave.
“Why only the recent files? Won’t it be better for me to have a broad knowledge of what may resurface?“

It wasn’t her first trip to Gotham; she and Jon had been with their parents loads of time. But it was her first time going with her dad to Wayne Manor. It was weird that they were friends – her dad and the billionaire. Weirder still that the friendship had always been kept secret-ish. Until now.
As her dad disappeared into Bruce’s study with a ‘be good’, Jordan settled herself on a couch in the library. While the city itself set her anxiety aflame – the ominous looming buildings making her feel claustrophobic, the hoards of people setting her on edge – the manor itself was quiet. She could do quiet.
Putting in her earbuds, she sat back and let the sounds of Mucuos Membrane fill the silence.
As soon as he learned that the Kryptonian would be coming to the Manor, he found himself wondering which, if either, of the twins would be coming with him. At least one of them was bound to take after their father and he has his own wager about which one it would be...and if there had been an attempt at a minor kidnapping incident before hand to attempt to see if he was correct, well...neither of their parents needed to know about that.
He kept himself out of visibility, watching as they arrived and was surprised to see the sister arrive with Clark. As she made herself comfortable on the couch in the library, Damian came around and settled himself on the couch across from her.
