I think most will have guessed by now that this blog is on pretty much a permanent hiatus.
I didn't really lose Amneris, and I feel like I could still play her if I tried, but I've mostly moved on to other muses and left her behind.
I'll still keep this blog up, in case I ever want to return. If anyone should want me I'm over at icyqueenofarendelle.
Thanks!

//That's fine, I knew it would be a bit shaky, so I thought clarifying would be the best bet. :)
//Hi! I know in your FAQ that you say if we have to ask whether you accept certain things, the answer will likely be no, but I was wondering if characters from musicals produced by Disney would be accepted? This account is for Princess Amneris from the musical Aida, so I was just wondering. I completely understand if the answer is no. ^^
lemme talk with the other mods about it, kay? I have no problem with it, because I adore Aida and it is Disney owned, buuuuuut I don’t know.
Earlier this year we told someone they couldn’t audition as a character from Peter and the Starcatchers, and that too is a Disney Theatrical, but like, also we couldn’t allow two versions of the same character and that was our main reasoning behind that decision
But that’s not the case with Aida.
So lemme talk to Ally and Britt and see what they say.

"...No."
"Actually, I'm not completely certain what our main export is. I'll have to ask, if you're so interested."

Princess, right. What’s your kingdom’s trade, then — jacked-up feather boas and hooch?

The princess lifted one balled up fist to her mouth, attempting to control her emotions. But it wasn't working. It never seemed to any more. Taking ragged breaths, she stared down at the medallion on the cushion before her. It had belonged to Radames.
"The slave girl had it," the man with the cushion told her. "We wondered if you should have it."
Amneris carefully lifted the golden pendant by the string, letting it twirl in front of her face for a moment. Then, in one sudden movement, she clutched it to her chest, the tears threatening to spill over.
"Leave me," she ordered, her voice small and shaky.
As soon as the doors to her chambers had shut, she allowed the hot tears to spill down her cheeks. It had been mere days since the deed had been done, and in that time the princess had refused to leave her room. She had refused to see her father, also. She was still not sure if she could ever forgive him for what he made her do.
Curling up into the pile of soft, downy pillows on her sofa, Amneris allowed herself to weep, placing the medallion around her neck. It was all she had left of those she had loved so dearly.

"My, my, I have been busy. Father has wanted me away from the public eye, says it's better if I stay in the palace. But I don't want to.
So...has there been any news?"

"England..." Amneris repeated slowly, the word strange and clunky in her mouth. "Never heard of it," she quickly continued, tossing a piece of hair over her shoulder.
"How have you found yourself in Egypt? And in my chambers, no less."

Caroline turned her head a bit, and smirked a little. “I am from London, England,” she said.

"A spot of sunstroke, perhaps?" asked Amneris, feigning disinterest. She was honestly wondering where on Earth this bizarre woman had come from.
"Where did you say you came from...?"

Amneris's face became confused. "Where else could we possibly be?" she asked, her expression only half joking.

Amneris rolled her eyes, sighed, and stood from her seat. With a flick of one hand, she sent away her guards, or at least, they retreated to where they were less noticeable. After glaring at the handmaidens, they also got the message and left the room.
She strode over to him and stood before him, raising an eyebrow. "Shall I guess that you are not from Egypt?" she asked. However much it was against her better judgement, she felt sorry for the boy. One couldn't trust children, they could well be spies, but the boy could hardly speak.
She held out her fan to him. "Here, take this." Taking a step back and placing her hands on her hips, she added, "And might I suggest taking some of those ridiculous clothes off."
"I am Princess Amneris, by the way."

The princess would admit, it was an odd sight to suddenly have a small child in the room. She wished now she had paid more attention to where he had come from, since it certain wasn't the main entrance to the room. She would have brushed him off as just another slave, but he did not look like one of them. Not to mention, she did not normally see children running around the palace. And his clothing...was so very odd...
"And what is your purpose here, Harry Potter?" she asked, trying to sound as important as possible.

"'Not from here'?" Amneris echoed, raising an eyebrow. That much had been obvious upon first glance. "Then where are you from?"

Caroline bowed. “Apologize, my lady. I tend to have that effect on people these days. I’m not from here,” she said, to the woman.
