ok my friends know i love to talk shit about tdm (despite me working on a fic set in its universe for almost a year). it’s a hobby at this point. I find a lot of it to be based around very little substance/commentary, and I think some topics were handled poorly (That Scene in ITA).

however that being said i read sparks rise and it broke me a little i think. sorry alexandra bracken for being mean to you can you take away that ending now :(((

I feel like some of you forget that Rhysand let an innocent human get murdered. “But he took the pain, she didn’t feel it!” She’s still dead babes.

I feel like some of you forget Rhysand forced Feyre into their bargain and then drugged her night after night. “He did it so she didn’t remember the horrors!” Still drugged her hun.

I feel like some of you forget Feyre didn’t hurt just Tamlin by destroying the Spring Court, she destroyed the lives of innocents.

I feel like some of you forget that Feyre used Elain against Lucien when they left spring.

I feel like some of you forget they ended up going through Autumn somewhere Lucien feared and knew he’d be killed on sight because she lied and stole from the summer court.

I feel like some of you forget that Feyre was playing Tamlin and Lucien off against each other.

I feel like some of you forget Amaranta groomed Tamlin and then cursed Prythian when he rebuffed her advances.

I feel like some of you forget Tamlin spent 50 years trying to make it right, sending his friends out to die, friends who went willingly.

I feel like some of you forget Tamlin took Lucien in when he had nowhere else to go, gave him a home and a semblance of family.

I feel like some of you forget Tamlin had his own trauma. “He didn’t check on Feyre and help her with her trauma!” Show me where she did that for him??

I feel like some of you forget how in Rhysand’s attempt to prove he is a “good guy” he cut Tamlin off from speaking, allowed Azriel to attack Eris (maybe they did both deserve it) but what about when he essentially said “You can work with me or I can go into your minds and make you.”

I feel like some of you forget Lucien had endured abuse and loss his whole life and stood by the one person he had even if the decision was wrong.

I feel like some of you forget Lucien and Tamlin were raised to fear Rhysand and yet they still did everything they could to save her. “But she told Lucien she was fine and she sent a letter!” How was Lucien to know Rhys wasn’t controlling her and how were they to know she could read or write? She couldn’t when she left Spring?

I feel like some of you forget Lucien stood his ground when he found Feyre in the woods despite knowing the male that stood with her could kill him with very little effort.

I feel like some of you forget that Lucien didn’t shout that Elain was his mate, he didn’t claim ownership of her, he said it in shock, as if he couldn’t believe that Jesminda wasn’t his mate.

In short, I feel like some of you were very quick to forgive Rhysand and Feyre but you can’t forgive Tamlin and Lucien?

Jude loved Taylor swift and when he'd get nervous he'd hum the lyrics and Vida would get certain songs stuck in her head and it drove her crazy

chub's naturally has doctors handwriting and spent hours practicing so now it looks like times new Roman and it still looks fake

Ruby spells so many words wrong because she only got to fourth grade and people would tease her for it until they realized that she hasn't even touched a pen in years and they stopped

Liam bought Ruby a cheep-but-cute ring when they were 19 ( bc he's a in love sap) before they left for haven and then lost it

Jude HAD voice cracks!?!? Bro get out of my walls, im willing to fight

Ruby hears about Owen and is so excited about having a red she goes to call Cole and instead goes on a 4 hour walk in the woods

Ruby doesn't let Liam cut his hair too short because he looks too much like Cole when he grows up and she can't handle that

Bonus: Liam looks in the mirror sometimes and for a split second he can't see the difference

Vida keeps oat milk at her apartment bc chubs can't have normal milk and she starts liking it

Headcanon that Ruby can talk to animals

It's a bit after ITA when Ruby is in some boring meeting

when she sees a squirrel outside the window

and she's so sick of only being in peoples minds

so she's like ' I wonder what it's like to be a squirrel with no thoughts'

then she's like ' wait I COULD know'

chubs is in the meeting with her and he looks over to Ruby staring intently out the window at some random tree and texts Liam that she's going through it again

' Ruby is most definitely having a psychotic breakdown fix it'

Liam walks into a room later that day to see Ruby opening the Window and letting birds fly in because they honestly just want to chat with her

she gives such good advice to birds tbh

he calls her different Disney princesses all the time

' hey Snow White, I love you so very much'

' good morning sleeping beauty'

' Darin there's a mouse downstairs could you tell it to... not be down there anymore'

she went into a spiders mind once and she honestly has a soft spot for them now

like they're just little guys walking around

Nico goes to squash a spider and Ruby gives him ( and the surrounding kiddos) a long lecture about how just because a spider is small doesn't mean it needs to be killed and it deserves kindness as much as anyone

I feel like he'd low key be losing for most of it but eventually he would figure something out.

Fights with everyone there about everything because the systems they had were messed up

Sneaks the girls that were only allowed in their underwear some socks and other small things he can get away with giving them.

Joins Brett and Olivia in helping the kids that are sick

But overall he'd want to leave right away till he sees Ruby and Chubs get there

he's still just as down bad for Ruby but overall more confused

knows she's a orange from the start and sees her take down Knox and still thinks ' hot ' the hole time

probably convinces himself that chubs is dating ruby and she's off limits so he's mopping around like ' the girl of my dreams is with my best bud and that's fineeeeeeeee :('

brings it up to chubs and chubs is full on gagging ( why would he be dating his best friend like that, gross) and laughing ( because Ruby stares at Liam with the same sad puppy eyes he stares at her with but for a different reason and he doesn't get how they're both so bad at communicating)

au where liam didn’t pneumonia and he has to fight a red for initiation into knox’s tribe

“And you came to that conclusion how, exactly?” Chubs stared at Liam, pushing the stupid new glasses up. “Based on the fact that she let you into the van instead of locking you out?”

“Exactly,” he replied. “I seem to recall someone trying to vote her out.”

“Yeah!” Ruby said. “Thanks a lot. Trying to dump me off on some random road...”

“Excuse me for trying to look out for the group!” Chubs huffed.

The Asian girl looks back at her notebook, silent and quiet as always. They all seem to lick her head like a useless puppy. She doesn't even try to say anything.

They must have done something bad to her, I want to think, but everything goes back to darkness.

We left him there. We forgot him there. I left him there. I forgot. SHE FORGOT. He didn't like the dark. She is forgetting him. It's like he doesn't even exist for them. She didn't even talk to me about it. SHE CHANGED HIM. They changed him. She changed him. I will never change him. I will never change Jude in my life. She continues to smile while I had to tell Cate.

And there she is, Ruby, smiling as if he never existed. She didn't even care to notice that I'm wearing the rest of the compass as a bracelet. She really forgot that detail. The detail that confirmed that.

I feel my muscles twist with the small noise rising in my ears. I don't want to freak out, but out of the corner of my eye I see my fork, still with pasta, starting to shake. I'm at my limit. And even my crazy blue powers know that, they know that I'm losing myself.

That silence.

I hate that silence.

Ok but- The Darkest Minds at a party...

Ruby is totally just there to make sure puppy Lee doesn’t get too stoned

Vida is just doing shots like a boss

Chubs- he’s at home reading something. Wants no part in the ‘drunk frenzy that is no doubt going to end in someone visiting the ER’ (but ends up having to collect a ‘slightly’ drunk Vida later on at 3am)

Zu and Priya taking up the entire dance floor and having a karaoke battle at 2am, both of them having lost count of how many drinks they’ve had

Roman and Lana just watching them like ‘what is going on?’

Roman totally having to hold back Zu’s hair as she throws up in a bush on her way out (kid has no alcohol tolerance)

Cole flirting with everyone’s girlfriends, accidentally breaking the pingpong table in half after he loses flip cup (no one knows how he did it) and participates in a game of spin the bottle that no one is taking seriously

Jude escaping to the front porch and watching the stars

Ruby joining Jude and pointing out constellations with Britney Spears blasting in the background

Liam trying to start a game of hide and seek

Chubs dragging him out from under a table when he comes to get Vida

Priya and Lana sneaking off to the bathroom

Clancy isn’t invited

No one likes him :)
