Cornwall's Random Card of the Day #861: Consuming Bonfire
Consuming Bonfire is a common from Lorwyn.
This is a great spell which both works functionally and flavourfully. It makes sense treefolk would burn harder than most creatures, and with their high toughnesses, they probably gave red decks a hard time in Lorwyn limited, so this card both helps remove that problem while not seeming forced.

Cornwall's Random Card of the Day #860: Cultivator's Caravan
Cultivator's Caravan is a rare from Kaladesh.
Kaladesh is the first set with vehicles, so yeah, they were a bit overtuned. This guy is a normal mana rock but with the ability to turn into a 5/5 for the turn if you tap 3 power of creature. I like the utility of a vehicle that does stuff when uncrewed, it makes it less feel-bad when you can't and encourages putting it in a deck. Frankly, I ain't been playin that much since Kaladesh, and have no idea how many vehicles to put in any deck, in the same way I might be able to intuit how many auras, equipments or combat tricks.

Cornwall's Random Card of the Day #859: Durkwood Boars
Durkwood Boars is a common from Legends.
Piggos! I'm gonna weigh in on the boar/pig creature type debate. On the one hand, making them all pigs instead of boars makes it sound less cool fantasy-y, but on the other hand, not all pigs are boars. Female pigs are SOWS, so this whole thing is sow erasure. Lemme tell you, sows are just as ferocious as boars. Probably more so, since you can catch them guarding their little piglets. So, for matters of no longer misgendering these formidable sows, I gotta end up in favour of turning them all to pigs. Sorry, boar afficianados.

Cornwall's Random Card of the Day #858: Negate
Negate is a common from....Morningtide? Really?
This is such a simple card: a reversion of Remove Soul, or Essence Scatter as it was renamed(haven't seen that one in a while, is that due to the overall increase in creature viability?). Took till Morningtide to make. Weird. Woulda thought this would've been in Mirrodin or something, but Annul was in there instead. A good sideboard card, or for the mage who doesn't want his shit fucked with.

I think this is what Lower Decks understood that the other new Treks didn't
the thing about star trek is i don't watch it to see a group of plucky gun loving cadets save the galaxy or something i'm watching it to see the unlucky nerd of the week face their mortality in a way that is so fucked up and creepy. or to perform in community theater or go to therapy over confidence issues or play trombone or something
