But with a firm approach to it, reacts very well to direction. Got him within 15 feet of my friends Mal while the dog was barking and playing tug.
He is an insanely smart guy so he makes everything look like a cakewalk

Today, Floyd turns 8 and Zeke turns 1!
I’ve learned so much in owning these two very-different dogs and I cherish every memory and every training moment with these guys. I think it’s meant to be, when your dogs are born on the exact same day.

Sometimes I wish an actual law were put into place that says you can open palm slap a person who touches your dog without permission
Full arm swing, open palm, you can even wind up the slap
I have complained a zillion times about this, but I’ll say it again. Morons are drawn to my dogs. Morons will approach my dogs and try to pet them at random. They come out of the woodwork and they give no warning. There is no build-up, it’s like they manifest out of thin air.
I was at tracking with my club, so there are multiple dogs because it’s a huge field.
Tell me why a drunk man with his wife on a mobility scooter came out of thin fucking air, beelined across the park, just to pet Zeke
When told “NO, WERE WORKING”, he continued reaching and saying “it’s okay”
“NO, ITS NOT. THANK YOU” and he still continued
Who does this? Why do people do this? Why does this happen to me almost every single time I’m out with my dog?

This guy is becoming such a cool dog
He turns 11 months on the 20th!
He does everything with complete enthusiasm, his tail never stops wagging no matter what (during tracking you can hear it smacking back and forth across my boots hahahhaah)
A big crocodile mouth and a strong grip, but really really enjoys playing with the helper. Extreme food drive, prey drive, always down for ANY activity as long as he is having fun.. which he always is.
I’ve been told by my club that he is the happiest dog they’ve ever met

Honestly in southern Ontario, you will find shallow rivers that are almost like bath water. Southern Ontario has the warmest water in my experience.
I don’t live there anymore though, and so the water here is glacier fed, so some water is “fucking cold” and other water is “cold” and that’s it
