Maddie: "You have a ring cutter at home? For what?"
Buck: "Other stuff..."
Maddie: "What other stuff?"
Buck: *silence*
Me: *pauses the episode* "Does...does this boy have a metal cock ring?"

On the subject of Gods and queer relationships Part 2:
The Gods reopen Olympus for the Solstice and invite the Demigods into their home for one night.
Piper visits her mom’s palace for the first time and comes upon a room full of Aphrodite’s trinkets. Gifts from her love affairs over the millenias too special to part with like regular patron gifts and sacrifices.
They’re are all things you would expect: Statues, paintings, portraits, no two looking even remotely the same. There are love letters of course, thousands of them. Written on various medium and in various languages kept inside scrapbooks, framed and hung up on the walls and catalogued scrolls like a collection on display rather than loving keepsakes.
Except, Piper finds one set of letters that are kept apart from the others. and transcribed, magically of course, onto modern paper and kept inside a jewel encrusted box.
“Who is Sappho?” Piper asks. Aphrodite sighs wistfully and begins a story about one of her most favored.

Sometimes I think the found family tv trope is toxic as fuck. Like imagine sinking an ungodly amount of money, time, and energy into 2 YEARS of medical school only to quit because it doesn't make you as happy as your found family job does. 2 YEARS. AND YOU BEGGED A PROFESSOR TO GIVE YOU A 2ND CHANCE AFTER FAILING THE FIRST TIME. THE MONEY ALONE!

I just don't get calling an old college friend you haven't spoken to in almost a decade and asking him to be your sperm donor?
It just...It feels like there's going to be a cuck chair situation involved somehow, I'm sorry.

Okay, so having just finished s4 of 911, here is my honest opinion about Buck and Eddie, so far, and most of ya'll are not going to like what I have to say.
From what I have seen, all of this ship within the context of the show as it was presented to me when I was watching it, is one sided.
I do think Buck has feelings for Eddie.
I don't think Eddie returns those same exact feelings.
They clearly care for each other, but while Buck gives intense queer vibes, Eddie might as well be...just some dude...
I think a lot of the appeal is the desire for domesticity. The fact that Christopher exists and that Buck is heavily involved in his life makes this ripe for all the tropes, which is great.
But within the text? It's not enough, not in my opinion. An entire relationship cannot be based around a child. And while they are great friends, they deeply care about each other, I can't help but feel like there's a lack of emotional chemistry.
Especially on Eddie's end.
To be frank, he bores me. Most of Eddie's stories so far up to s4 have been about women or Christopher and then an occasional mention of his time in service to add some additional emotional trauma.
On the other hand, is he cute? Sure. Is there actual sexual chemistry between Buck and Eddie? None that I personally can see. And I know what subtextual sexual tension looks like between characters that are presumed to be straight.
It just doesn't feel real to me.
I think Buck needs to work through his emotional and physical crush on Eddie, maybe get his heartbroken a couple of times (I know Tommy is leaving soon) and then maybe he realizes that he's been subconsciously holding on to something that he needs to let go.
Maybe my opinion will change in the next 3 seasons.
Maybe I'm wrong and it will happen, and in that case I'd be ecstatic for the people who want it (I've been on the opposite side of that before), but to me it would just feel a little off.

I want the Cat King to absolutely rail the internalized homophobia out of that repressed, traumatized twink, or so help me, God.

Watching this show from the beginning and already knowing where everyone ends up in s7 and that none of the women Buck and Eddie date really matter, aside from like Abby and Christopher's mom, makes all of the dating side plots feel like a slog to get through.

So I got to Buck Begins.
I feel like when Maddie starts a new job anywhere it's just immediately that audio of Kathy Griffin saying "I need to talk to a gay person! I need a gay person, right now!"

Watching this show and gradually gaining context for every shipper edit has only strengthened my hate for the kind of brainrot that persists in fandom/shipping.
The fact that ya'll took a comment that was about Eddie's son learning to accept his limitations as a disabled kid and made it about ya'll wanting Eddie to kiss boys.
Wild.

There's lots of gay people on this show, I get it. BUT I do find it interesting that the one time an episode is about the gay guy who is kind of femme they make him get hate crimed and robbed.

Buck: "When I put on the uniform I'm strong, I'm brave...it's like I'm nothing without it."
Are...are we forgetting the time, fairly recently, where you saved like a dozen people in the middle of a tidal wave while out of uniform?

Ya'll are not going to like me when I say this but I would hate being Maddie's coworker at the call center.
She gets all the crazy calls.
She's always loud af, being dramatic
She's clearly the favorite of the senior staff and management.
Imagine going to the office pizza party knowing that management put effort into finding and filling half a diners worth of people just so that Madison Buckley wouldn't quit.
