and even though itās not technically flappy hands, he canonically does this flippy thing with his hands and arms sometimes! like in Swiped Sweets when heās meditating in āprisonā around the 16:13 mark. thatās definitely a stimming thing!
i donāt recall seeing it in the show but sporp definitely does flappy hands

I think itās something MĆ”ni composed in the process of writing the score for Secret Friend Day. You can kind of hear it in the scenes where Trixie is sad, but not much.
The instrumentation doesnāt sound like MĆ”ni bc itās standard midi sound samples, but it does sound like MĆ”niās style to me. Especially how he inserts small motifs from other familiar songs: Bing Bang, Cooking by the Book, and Sportacusās guitar motif.
In the episode Secret Friend Day, he uses more authentic sounding samples and only snipets of this music mixed in with other stuff to match whatās occurring on screen. The best example to find this music is around 17:00 when Trixie and Stephanie are talking things out at sea (Robbieās there too).
I just heard this via the LazyTown soundcloud and Iām just wondering what episode did this came from?
Apparently, this has something to do with Trixie cuz the url has sadsong-trixie in it

disclaimer that iām deeply critical of Psychiatry and iām also not addressing issues of access/affordability here, but if you can find it, voluntary, individual outpatient therapy can be incredibly helpful, even life-saving. hereās what iāve learned to look for in a therapist:
an explicitly political framework: mental illness is a social phenomenonāsocially caused, socially identified, socially experienced, socially treated. it is the systems of power to which weāre subject that make and keep usĀ āsick.ā especially if you experience greater marginalization or oppression, this understanding is essential in a therapist. no hyper-individualization of mental disorders. therapists might say they have feminist, lgbtq-focused and/or social justice oriented treatment approachesā¦ in the real world, this is a good sign.
roughly similar age, or same generation: i think this helps even the power imbalance somewhat. a much older therapist can feel (and act) more like a parent than a peer. also, graduate/clinical training has gotten better over the years, so a younger therapist is likely to have benefited from that evolution. and, millennials in the field are generally more aware of issues of power than like an older gen x or boomer (generations are fake and this isnāt always true butā¦)
active participation in your sessions: it shouldnāt feel like old school psychoanalysis where youāre laying on a couch rambling about your life to a bearded academic. a therapist should offer ongoing affirmations, reflections of/on what youāve said, suggestions, questions, etc.. they should seem interested in collaborating w you.
adaptable w treatment techniques: they might practice cbt, dbt, act, mi, emdr, or any manner of acronym, but you want someone who adapts their approach to you, rather than trying to squeeze you into their preferred technique. clientsā needs vary. therapy isnāt just a cbt lesson or whatever, itās a reciprocal relationship, and therapists should have the skill and openness to honor that.
a certain je ne sais quoi: thereās a chemistry factor in the therapeutic relationship that canāt always be accounted for rationally. do you feel like this person gets you? do you look forward to seeing them, even if the work is hard? do they feel like an ally in your struggles? is it mainly awkward or does dialogue flow? do you feel safe? there is no perfect therapist, but most of these answers should be yes. if theyāre not, you may tragically have to go back to the drawing board

Can we all just talk about the fact that the only reason why Robbie Rotten is the evil man that he is.. is because he just wantās to eat some heckinā cake and get a solid eight hours of sleep with no interruptions but canāt because of a hobbit dressed in blue on a pogo stick, a living strawberry lollipop, tech spicy Cheetos boy, marshmallow man Jr. , and fancy gollem rip-off TM decided to fuck up his sleepĀ schedule as a new hobby.

wait wait. so this means sportacus is *canonically* an elf, right?? Thatās confirmed by this, yeah?
I know itās always been a widely accepted headcanon with strong implications by the show and the plays and sportacusās icelandic name, but the fact that he for sure wore elf ears confirms it for me at least.
Sportacus is 100% canonically an elf, and a literal ĆĆ¾rĆ³ttaĆ”lfurinn at that.
Iām very late to the game, seeing this, but still. This just makes my day. :)
Some questions I asked StefĆ”n on Instagram, includes: why MagnĆŗs wears the ears, hair and makeup, fave puppet, and fave disguise! I needed any reason to talk to him haha
