Gonzague — Chapter 1
Word count with code: 16+: ~ 32k — 18+: ~ 40k Word count without code: 16+: ~ 29k — 18+: ~ 36k
Hello everyone!
I’m very excited to release this new game to you all! This first demo includes a prologue, chapter 1, and a very short interlude (which concludes the prologue).
It introduces the plot and most of the main characters, establishes some of the relationships between the MC and the other characters, and there are some character creation prompts throughout the demo, mostly in the prologue.
There are some content warnings to be aware of, all of them are given at the beginning of the story and available for consultation in the settings. In this demo, the ones you mostly need to be aware of are those about MC’s mental health and childhood traumas, as well as mentions and descriptions of a character’s death.
Also, be aware that if you play through the 18+ demo and choose for your character to have sex with other characters, you will be led directly to an explicit scene. If you’d rather avoid that, please read the 16+ version of the game!
I also recommend sticking to one version of the game as much as possible. Going from one to the other might mess up your saves, unfortunately.
The link at the end of this post is for the 16+ version of the game. The link to the 18+ version will be posted in a labeled post shortly!
This demo includes:
Customizing Gonzague
A secret to unveil
Fencing!
A moment of respite with a friend
A decision made
I hope you’ll enjoy reading Gonzague, thank you for your support!

cw for violence!
The warehouse is cold, the air stale and thick with the smell of concrete and dust as you pace between stacked crates. Your gun is a solid weight in your gloved hand, held low and loose by your side, your footsteps quiet on the hard-packed ground. You’re dressed in dark clothes, hood pulled up, and not for the first time - certainly, not for the last - you miss having IVI’s voice in your head, that second pair of eyes to watch your back.
It feels wrong to be in the field without Nash.
You don’t like to linger on it; tell yourself that they’re back at the safehouse by now, their own part in your little venture already complete. Bite your tongue along with the thought, don’t let yourself vocalise, even inside your own head, the cynical response that follows.
They’ll be fine.
They’ll be fine, and you have your own mission to think about.
Besides, it’s not like you’re entirely alone.
You step around a corner, settle into the shadows under the walkway for a moment. Going up would get you better visibility; it would also make you more vulnerable, more noticeable.
The faint sound of voices floats towards you, somewhere in the stacks. Biting back a curse, you slink forwards, pressing yourself against the wall to peer around the corner.
You’re just in time to see two soldiers vanish into the stacks, rifles slung casually over their shoulders.
Amateurs.
You take a step forwards, ambling after them, keeping one ear cocked for signs of anyone else as you trail your targets. They’re chatting - far too casual, and not in the way that makes you wary.
You trail them for a full three minutes without any sign that they’ve noticed, their conversation continuing long and loud. It’s when you find yourself siding with the blonde one’s girlfriend about their latest domestic that you decide it’s gone on long enough.
It’s almost too easy. You step up behind them, dispatch one with a rabbit punch to the back of the neck, put a bullet between the other’s eyes as he turns around with a gasp. Neat and clean (except for the blood), and you’re left with two cooling bodies at your feet. You pat them down, pocket their radios and the dog-tag IDs you find around their necks, and lazily roll the bodies into the shadows between a stack.
You’re making your way towards the exit when the hair on the back of your neck stands up. You can taste something bitter and metallic at the back of your throat, has you opening your mouth slightly to taste the air, hand going tight on your gun. Press yourself against the nearest crate, inching slowly towards the corner.
You step around it sharply, raising your gun in a single, fluid motion - and find it knocked from your hand with a blow hard enough to bruise, a cold hand closing over your throat as you’re slammed against the wall, pinned against the metal by a single, huge claw. You fumble for your knife, still running on adrenaline-fuelled instinct, the blade pressing tight against their soft underbelly before you catch yourself, freezing awkwardly.
Rhaxa, too, takes a moment to compose himself. Even in the cobweb-dark of the warehouse, xir eyes are bright. You clear your throat, feeling xir claws shift against your skin.
“Fancy meeting you here.” You grin as he laughs, low and clicking, exhaling slowly as he drops his hand from your throat. Extend the same courtesy, sheathing your blade. Rhaxa doesn’t move away, though you can feel their tail curl around your ankle, so you slouch back against the metal wall. “How’d you get on?”
“Sniper on the walkway,” he replies, low and easy. “Got their tags. Thought we could trace them from that.”
You smirk, digging in your pocket to tug out the tags you’d taken from your own targets, let them dangle from your fingers. “Got one up on you.”
Rhaxa clicks again. “Didn’t realise it was a competition.”
“Everything’s a competition.” You pause, tilt your head. “Or is that just a Nash thing?”
“Maybe.” Rhaxa’s voice is dry. “I’m sure I could find something for us to fight over if it would make you feel more at home.”
The grin is back, and you can’t quite suppress it. It’s wildly inappropriate - which, you suppose, is part of the appeal. You reach up, cup xir jaw in your hands and drag your thumbs over the smooth scales there.
“You’re cute when you’re being bitchy.”
“I’m not being bitchy.”
“Yes, you are.” You lean forwards, plant a kiss on the tip of their muzzle. “It’s adorable.”
Their tail tightens around your ankle.
“Pick up your gun,” they tell you curtly, amusement betrayed by the purr in their voice, the way they’re pushing their face into your hands. “There’s another squad in here somewhere. If you want a competition…”
They pull back, flex their wings. Bunch their muscles, and with a metallic clatter, scale the side of the stack.
Swearing, you scramble for your gun, take off at a sprint. In the distance, you can hear someone scream.

For a moment, you forget how to breathe, how to move; your limbs are too heavy, the silence ringing too loud, your lungs wet and full. Then you drag in a shaking breath, and your muscles remember what they're for.
Project Hadea: Chapter Four is now available to play. Featuring:
Consequences
Kisses?
Get reacquainted with Scytha, or meet a crew of questionable strangers
Minor UI tweaks
As ever, this game is rated 18+. Content warnings for this chapter include needles, discussions about bodily autonomy, death, discussion of injury, and violence. I recommend starting from the beginning; I can’t guarantee everything will run correctly if you do load an existing save.

You can now add The Passenger to your wishlist on Steam :D
Tumblr media
Do you like monsters? Do you think they are the best part of their respective movies, books, and shows? Then you have to play The Passenger.
The Passenger is a 380,000-word interactive cosmic horror novel by Jime Rolón. It’s entirely text-based, without graphics or sound effects, and fueled by the vast, unstoppable power of your imagination.
When your eldritch existence is threatened by another unthinkable creature, you find yourself jumping dimensions to escape your ghastly fate. Safe for now, your moment of respite is short-lived as you realize you’re stuck on Earth, trapped inside a dumb human larva, and with no clue of how much energy you’ll need to leave this horrible place behind.
Twenty-six years later you’re still stranded on an absurd planet, you have a mom and a sister, and a job delivering baked goods. Not only that, but the creature that almost ate you all those years ago never really stopped looking for you. However, there’s no way it will pinpoint your actual location… right?
You can play the first three chapters of the game for free here. The rest of the game will be available on Thu, Dec 29.
Play as male, female, or nonbinary
You can be trans, cis, gay, straight, bi, ace, partnering aro, or choose to stay single.
Pursue romance with a headstrong waitress, a moody store clerk, a mystifying newcomer, or an unconventional cult leader.
Four monogamous routes, and one polyamorous route.
Will you break free from your prison of flesh?
Add The Passenger to your wishlist here.

Chapter Seven is Complete!
Hello everyone!
As the post title indicates, chapter seven is now live and available for everyone to play.
In this chapter, enjoy (or don't) a gathering of friends, spend a little quality time with someone, and be interrupted by an impending disaster! (Don't you love those?)
Special content warnings this time for:
Fantasy violence and some gore
Light horror elements, esp. on Alekto and Pyri's routes
Villains being nasty (in particular some sexism, directed at an NPC)
Drug and alcohol use (entirely optional on the PC's part)
Pyri attempting to dance (/j; they do on some playthroughs but it doesn't need a content warning)
I recommend playing with a new save, as some new variables were added and you may get continuity errors without them, but it isn't the biggest issue even if you do, I don't think.
And for those of you who are wondering, chapter seven has a total of 253,090 words, bring Asphodel itself to a total of 812,347 words!

Announcement - Chapter Seven
Hey all!
The entirety of chapter seven is now available for my early access patrons.
That means, of course, that for everyone else it will be releasing in a week! So look for that on Wednesday, 14 December (Australia time). I'll post an announcement when it goes up.
Anyway, it's over 250k new words of stuff, including the route choice. Please note that there are content warnings in place for alcohol and drug use (optional for the PC, of course), fantasy violence, death, and some mild horror elements.
Cheers. :)

I hate that as Indigenous people, we have to slowly explain the concept of LandBack to basically every colonizer.
Like no we're not going to just throw you out, or put you in camps, or any of that shit. We just want to be able to take care of our ancestral land and be the ones in charge of protecting it.
Like I know these people were raised with a colonial mindset but after a while I just start to lose sympathy.
Like oh you're worried about having your home violently ripped out from under you?? What a fucking tragedy.

Virtue's End — Game Update 3 November 2022
Today marks the anniversary of Virtue's End original release date two years ago and I figured, what better time to release the update for the revised version?
So, now you can play it here :-) 🎉
It currently includes the prologue and about 1/3rd of chapter one, for a total of about 20k~ words. Note that it's a bit messy and unfinished and is missing an important scene. Still, I felt the need to publish it as is.
It's been a long time since I last released an update for Virtue's End. I'm not going to lie, it's been hard. I've struggled a lot during that time, trying to achieve some sort of perfection. I was rewriting it after all, so it had to be good, right? It had to be above reproach. Perfect.
And I am anything but perfect. I became stuck in this loop of writing a thing and then feeling dissatisfied with it and starting anew. It was incredibly difficult to break out of that mindset. I enjoy writing immensely and it's a passion of mine, but I am still learning. And the only way to learn and become better at something is to do it.
So, I forced myself to stop trying to achieve some impossible ideal, and to just simply write. This update is the result of that. And even though it's unfinished, I do feel good about it because I'm finally making some progress instead of rewriting the same bits.
I'm making an exception for this 'anniversary' update, but my plan for the public build is to update it whenever I've finished writing a full, complete chapter, and for the Patreon version to receive much more frequent, incremental updates in-between. For chapter one, I'll continue to update it alongside the Patreon version for now, until I've added the missing scene and I'm able to conclude it on a natural stopping point (Patrons will of course receive early access to all updates).
If you've read all of this, thank you, and I hope you enjoy the game. :') 💜

When a character is assured enough in their own power that they are completely relaxed in dangerous situations??? When that same character becomes tense and uncomfortable in the mundane because they don't have a framework for peace?????? When they help navigate violence for another character and in return that character helps them navigate softness??????????? That's all, your honour
