For the stalking thing, definitely try finding friends/relatives of theirs, their pages might be more open and you can see if they've tagged the person. Older relatives tend to not have their facebook settings too heavily privatised. Also if you have their full name, make sure to google it in quotation marks ie. "John Doe", that way you only get John Does and not other Johns or other Doe's. Good luck, stay safe!
