Star Wars Headcanons
Delta Squad:
*Sev and Scorch constantly get into physical squabbles, but that's all it is, a squabble. They spent enough time being pitched against each other in training by Walon Vau that they have no desire to physically harm each other.
Instead, they end up having slap fights, hitting each others hands until one of them gets bored and simply pushes the other over, declaring victory.
*Fixer has the largest and most diverse porn collection anyone in the galaxy has ever seen. It's categorised to perfection, and hidden behind fifteen layers of encryption. He doesn't even watch it much, he just likes being able to give the exact title of whatever saucy film Scorch is talking about and watch the look of utter disbelief on his brother's face.
*Boss 100% wears cologne. He'll deny it until he's blue in the face, no-one knows where he got it or what it's called, but every time he takes his helmet off, a warm, spicy, woody scent manifests. Boss pleads ignorance.
Scorch is ridiculously good at dejarik. No-one knows how, but every time he's at a table, he kicks the shebs of anyone he's pitted against. The Deltas have used this to their advantage to get credits in tight spots before. If asked where he learnt to play, Scorch simply shrugs and says he 'picked it up'.
Sev suffers from chronic pain in his leg. It was caused in a training accident where he broke his leg and Vau pulled him out of bacta early to carry on training. It never fully healed, and it plays up in cold weather. The others know, and sometimes Boss will slow down their pace so Sev isn't pushed too hard, though none of them will ever admit it.
Scorch is the youngest of the group and they are super protective of him, though they'll never admit it. After his accident during training where he got his name, he almost didn't make it and was left with a lot of scarring.
They took turns applying bacta and redressing his wound, with Boss even telling Vau to leave them be while he recovered, which took a lot of guts.

I see a lot of posts saying "teach boys about consent".
While that is true, a lot of parents will do that and fail to see how their own actions are the problem.
If you've spanked him, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've forced him to sit on Santa's lap, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've forced him to give hugs and kisses to family members, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've grabbed him in order to force him to sit still, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've labeled him as "too sensitive" for not wanting to be touched, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you've assumed he's okay with something because he technically allowed it even though he felt pressured, he's less likely to understand consent.
If you're only going to criticize his actions but not your own, it won't work.

SAD REALITY
Feb 07/24: I just want to let everyone know that Im truly sincere in asking any help for us here and me posting our situation here is already hard enough as I need to wait for a better signal just to ask help for reblog or donations. I apologize if you find me annoying and always asking you to reblog.
Feb 06/24 12:30pm I went home yesterday and took some photos in our place but suddenly a policeman ask me to live the area as it was consider now as a danger zone. There are still threats of sudden flash floods and landslide. I really want people to know that Im real and not taking advantage to your goodness.
At night, around 8-10pm a landslide happen to a nearby Zone, in Masara, it was shocking and heartbreaking as it covers most part of the Zone1. Many houses where gone and many people are injured including a bus full of passenger. Until now the search and rescue operation are on going. The weather is still cloudy and a big chance of rain again. Now I understand why we cannot go back to our home anymore because we will most likely end up in tragedy.
So as of now, we choose to stay in the evacuation area much safer but not much help and aide we receive so we are doing our own way to get some help, and this is my way, posting here. I hope you guys understand my situation. We are hurting right now, we really are :(

Lord, Heal our land
Good day to each and everyone. I would like to ask your sincerest help and PRAYERS for my land Mindanao, especially in Region 11, Davao Region where me and my relatives live.
Last Jan 16, 2024 we experience an imaginable flooding and we were evacuated to a safety area because of the shear line that causes the heavy and nonstop rainfall, all of the houses in the area was partially damage and uninhabitable but as the rain slows down we went back to our houses to clean and check if its okay to be back home. Then Just today Jan. 18, 2024, we are force to evacuate again as the shear line that causes the worst flooding in the history of our province takes place. Some of us are now staying in the evacuation area. Crowded, unease and all of us still absorbing what just happened, thinking how we will gonna recover from the disaster that we just experience, not to mention a month ago, Tropical Storm #Kabayan (Jelawat) hit the Philippines and our region was the center of the storm. I thought it would be the last time that I will experience such flooding but its only the beginning, this shear line was the worst! As the saying goes, calm before the storm, I now understand that :(
Some brigdes had collapes due to strong current of the flood (some photos are not mine but from my friends who had the courage to go to this danger and impassable zone)
Thankful for the rescuers who priorities the kids, elderly and pwd ( God is good all the time)
This video was just the beggining of the flood after a couple of hours, the water raises to 5ft and it makes our sitio, impassable. Only heavy and big vehicle can pass.
This happened Mindanao wide, some photos I upload are not meant to disturb other people who had phobia in this kind of situation but to imphasize how big the damage this shear line had cause us. In other province, there were landslide that killed a family of 7 (May there soul rest in peace) and in some areas there are reported missing.
Help me pray for my mother land. I hope this calamity end and no casualty anymore. I hope the Almighty give the rescuers and people who sacrifice there life to save others the stregnth and courage they need.
Im dearly asking help monetary or in kinds not just for me and my family but also for my relatives and friends who are now in the evacuation area.
The government is providing food as much they can but they cant cater everything that we need because thousands of family were in different evacuation centers in the region plus some government help will take sometime because some road are not passable due to landslide.
We are in need of:
Milk powder for babies
Food for babies (Soft biscuits, cerelac)
Distilled water (running out of it)
Disinffectant / ointment
Blanket and pillow (This is much need)
Hygiene Kit
Extra food for those who didnt leave their houses (most men in each family, stayed to look/guard their houses)

UPDATE#1:
As of now, we still experience moderate to heavy rainfall. Some of us went back home to clean and see the damages in our houses but the rain pours hard that we decided to go back to evacuation immediately.
The main road from the city and other provinces still not passable due to the landslide and broken road. Trucks and other vehicle that carries the relief good intended for us still stranded because of the road closure.

Honestly find it more than a little annoying the Starbucks boycott has gotten so much attention despite not being on the BDS list at all, even as a non-targeted boycott. And don't get wrong: fuck Starbucks, don't buy their shit, but also make sure you're boycotting the things that are, y'know, actually a target of BDS.

The protests that happened at the macy's day parade are so important specifically because they tried to stop people from finding out about them. I watched the whole parade and didn't see a single sign or protestor, because try as they may to claim the show is live, they've been doing this for decades, they have full control over what footage the camera's capture and when ads conveniently cut away from what's happening. I found out from the few people still talking about the protests that there were any happening at the parade today.
They know we're all getting so tired and sad of hearing about what's happening. They want to make it as difficult as possible for us to interact with it, in hopes that we give up. They want you to say "It's Thanksgiving, we deserve a break from hearing about this."
I know that it hurts and it's stressful to try to help, but we have to keep going if we want anything to change. The writer and actor strikes were successful because they didn't give in.
It doesn't have to be much, you don't have to spend your days doomscrolling footage and fighting zionists. Just email your representatives each day, boycott businesses that support Israel, and hang on tight. As long as there is hope, there is a way through. The Palestinian people will be free.

It’s been said better and more thoroughly than this but employing “women and children” rhetoric in the wake of an ethnic cleansing, where the men are framed as barbaric and expendable, is absolutely heinous and inappropriate.
Yes, women face somewhat unique (but not totally unique—there have been reports of male hostages facing forced sodomy) threats and obviously children are the most vulnerable out there, but men are being brutalized and murdered as well and they aren’t “more” deserving of this occupation.
Discussions of misogyny are obviously welcome in any context but framing male victims as lesser (less victimized, less worthy of saving, less innocent) just furthers the dehumanization that affects all victims of said ethnic cleansing. You are giving an allowance to the racism and bigotry that is utilized to justify their deaths, torture, starvation, maiming.
Anyone actually educated in meaningful feminism should easily recognize this.
Even if you don’t want to recognize the humanity of these men (which is, again, racist and heinous), do you think the women and children you claim to care for are better off without these men? Their fathers, brothers, children, cousins, lovers…
Please, do not forget the Palestinian men. Please, learn to understand that criticizing the patriarchy (and, yes, pushing back against bad faith “not all men” discussions) should not mean signing off on an ethnic cleansing.
Palestinians are innocent; age and gender does not change that.
End the occupation for the women, men, and children.
