Slight Night Shiver || Thea & Sage
Thea Queen had left her home and family in Starling City to start a new life with her biological father who was not the man she grew up knowing as her Dad, it had turned out that Robert Queen was not her real father as her mother Moira had an affair with Malcolm Merlyn which resulted in her birth. Everyone but Thea had known this secret until she had found out only recently, it was something that had hurt her and she had refused to speak to her mother or Oliver for days. Of course she had then had to witness the murder of her mother by Oliver’s enemy from the island Slade, he had put Oliver in the position of choosing her or her mother to die, though her mother had been the one to volunteer herself to save Thea. It was not long after this that she decided to leave with Malcolm to try and get to know her father more, they had been travelling around for a while but Thea had grown bored and had decided to part ways with her father.
Thea didn’t have any ideas on where to head next but there was a town that stuck in her memory, Oliver had mentioned it a few times and she knew her adoptive father Robert Queen had once had some business dealings in the same place. Mystic Falls was supposedly a quaint little town situated in Virginia and Thea decided that she would make a little trip there, she had no idea whether it would a town she would like or even stay in for a while and if it hadn’t been for the family history with the town she probably wouldn’t have even headed there but curiosity had gotten the better of her she thought to herself as she sat back in the plane seat as they come into land at the airport.
Thea hired a car and after stocking up on snacks as well as a map she found herself driving for a while until she passed a sign welcoming her into the town of Mystic Falls, it certainly looked quaint, maybe a little too boring for Thea but she could at least stay one day and check it out. Driving past the sign welcoming her to Mystic Falls, Thea glanced around at the buildings she passed, having no idea where she was going. Passing a few shops she spotted a row of parking spaces situated outside a bar, which could be the perfect place to get some information about the town and ask about a place to stay for the night. Pulling the car up she remained in the seat momentarily as she turned the ignition off, her eyes dancing around the front of the appropriately named Mystic Grill.
Smiling as she placed her feet on the pavement and the breeze blew through her hair a little Thea locked the car up and walked confidently into the bar, glancing around slightly as she walked past the various people sitting at tables, reaching the bar she took a seat and ordered herself a coffee, the drive had made her a little sleepy and she really needed a caffeine fix. The girl that was working behind the bar placed her coffee in front of her and continued moving around the bar as Thea rested her eyes on the door to the bar, hoping that someone interesting might walk inside. Her eyes moved to the side as she heard a stool be pulled across the floor and a man who looked around the same age as her brother took a seat on it, glancing towards her and smiling a little. He asked her if she lived in town in which she shook her head lightly “Sorry, i am just passing through, arrived here today” she answered “I take it you are the same, are you looking for someone?” she questioned politely, wondering if he might know something about when her brother was here.

Strings || Thea & Stefan

Following the road until she came to what she presumed was the town centre she pulled her car up in a space and stepped out of the car, welcoming the chance to stretch her legs after the drive. Glancing around Thea noticed that not only was there some sort of building that was looking like it had experience and explosion but the town was practically deserted, not at all like Oliver had described it following his first visit to the town.
Walking back the way she had driven towards the sign she walked passed it looking around for any other sign of life, there was nothing but fields and wooded areas, what had happened to this town? Hearing a rustling noise from her side she turned and her eyes widened a little in fear as a man seemed to appear from nowhere, though it wasn’t that Thea was worried about, it was the fact that he had blood dripping from his mouth, splatters of the red liquid over his t-shirt too. As he looked up at her with what she could only describe as menacing eyes she turned and ran, her foot just passing the sign where as her arm was suddenly in a strong grip of the man’s hand.
It was as if he was determined to have her this side of the sign, almost as if he was frightened to cross past the sign, something she found a little odd to say the least. Biting her lip and raising her leg to try and kick at the man she gasped as she felt herself become elevated in the air, the man laughing a little before blackness overcome Thea and she presumed she was dead. She wasn’t sure how much time had passed until she felt her eyes flicker open slowly, staring up at the sky as she ran her hands over the ground, sitting up slowly as she looked around to find no sign of the man that had attacked her. Placing a hand on her neck she could feel the dampness of the wound, she felt a little lightheaded still as she got to her feet slowly before almost falling again, she would have if a strong pair of arms went around her and held her up, she could hear words coming from his mouth, asking if she was okay as he seemed to pick her up and carry her a little way.
Blackness engulfed her once more and she slipped into some sort of unconsciousness, her eyes flickering open once more as she realised she was on a couch, how had she got here, immediately moving her hand to her neck again her eyes widened a little as she felt nothing over her skin, no wound, no blood, nothing, had she imagined it all? Looking up as she heard someone walk inside the room, she sat up slowly looking at the man as he stated that she was awake, she recognised the voice as the man that had helped her. “You rescued me” she stated though it was a question as well “Where am I, what happened to me?” she asked curiously.

Unbound By Death || Thea & Silas

It was not long after this that she decided to leave with Malcolm to try and get to know her father more, at first the two of them had got on, but as she already knew there was a dark side to Malcolm and the more time she spent with him, the more it rubbed off on her. She had turned from young girl Thea Queen to becoming harder, she wouldn’t stand for anything anymore and so she decided to part ways with her father for a while and head out on her own for a while.
Glancing down at her phone as it rang out loud she shook her head as her brother Oliver’s name flashed on and off, she hadn’t spoke to him since the night her mother died, he hadn’t even turned up at the funeral. She was refusing to speak to him, she didn’t need him anymore, she didn’t need anyone anymore which had prompted her new life rule of to live every day as it came and that was why she decided to head to college, she had come straight out of school to doing nothing, getting in trouble and using drugs, to working with Laurel for a while until she had took over Verdant Nightclub from her brother. She had to admit she had enjoyed being her own boss when she took over at Verdant, though once she and Roy had broke up and with the death of her mother she couldn’t face being there, she didn’t even care what had happened to the nightclub anymore, whether Oliver had took it over or even if it had closed. Taking a look around her hotel room that she was calling home for this week, she got to her feet, staring out of the large hotel window that stood tall over the city of Atlanta, her eyes dancing around the various buildings below her until she spotted a small bar across the road and decided to take a look.
Having changed into something more appropriate for a trip to a bar Thea emerged from the door of the hotel and crossed the street as the sky dulled slightly, evening was approaching and her eyes watched as the first signs of the full moon took to the sky. Shaking her head softly and running her hand through her brunette locks Thea pushed open the door to the bar, glancing around her slowly whilst trying not to look too out of place, after all some people preyed on young women that walked into a bar alone. Taking a seat at an empty table she waited for the waitress to take her order, making sure to order some sort of cocktail before letting her eyes wander around the bar more, finding her eyes drawn to a young man who was sitting at the table to her side, watching her a little. She smiled slightly just in passing as her cocktail was bought to her, glancing back she saw the young man had vanished, only to find that when she looked back at her table he was sat in front of her, how on earth had he got there that quick and without her noticing.
Looking down at the table a little nervously, she felt slightly uneasy, the man seemed like there was something different about him, though she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. Suddenly he fixed his eyes on hers and spoke to her almost in a soothing way, she found herself holding her arm out towards him and letting him cut it a little before letting the blood drip into an empty glass, before placing a tissue over it and thanking her. He seemed to have a thing for blood, she had heard about people that thought they were vampires, people that went around drinking other people’s blood, she thought they were crazy, it looked like this man was one of them, though she couldn’t quite explain to herself how she had let him, it was almost as if she was under his power, that she would do anything he wanted. As their eyes met once more she even found herself smiling in his direction “How come i feel like i would do anything you asked?” she said simply.

After quite a few hours driving she pulled into the student car park on the campus, watching as numerous teenagers walked to lessons or their student houses, that was another thing she would have to do, find someone to share a room with, joining in the middle of a term she was sure every room would be taken. Taking a deep breath before grabbing her bag, climbing out of the car and placing the small bag over her shoulder, she glanced around slowly, looking for a sign that might point her to the office building where she could get some information and hopefully register. Glancing around as she walked through the campus grounds, she noticed how it had suddenly grown empty, maybe all the classes had begun, either that or everyone had seen her coming and could tell she was someone who wanted information.
Crossing the campus and walking inside the main building, she glanced to one side looking at the reception area which was empty, how could they expect to encourage new students with no one at the front desk, walking slowly past the area, she turned to the other side as she passed what seemed like a lecture room, her eyes resting on the man who was sitting inside studying some sort of notes, he was older than the students she had seen, no doubt a professor of some sort. Tapping on the open door gently, she smiled slightly as he looked up asking if he could help her. “Are you a professor here?” she asked, nodding as he answered that he was. “I wonder if you could help me, i was hoping to enrol or at least get some information, a prospectus maybe, it seems that no one is in the reception area, would you be able to help at all?” she asked simply.

“Sorry to bother you” she stated softly, waiting for the young man to look in her direction, smiling softly as their eyes met “I am looking for anyone that might be able to help me, i want to register here and i have no idea where to go, not to mention the fact that i need to find a room to share, do you think you would be able to help me?” she asked, smiling wider as he motioned for her to sit, informing her that his name was Aaron and he was a student here so he could help her “That’s great” she answered “I’m Thea” she replied, not mentioning her surname for now, being from a billionaires family the name Queen was known in various states across the country, she imagined it might be the same here and the last thing she wanted was questions on why she would even come to this college when she could do whatever she wanted. “So where do we start?” she asked softly.

Howling At The Moon || Thea & Kyran
Having always liked the idea of visiting New Orleans in Louisiana Thea bought herself a one way ticket and said her goodbyes to her father before boarding the plane and heading to yet another stage of her new life. Having only been on the ground for a few moments when she received a text message from Oliver stating that he was in New Orleans, she grew pretty curious as to what her brother would be doing here. Would her father have contacted him to let him know that Thea had headed off on her own, maybe hoping that the two siblings would make it up? It turned out not when he called her and told her that he was looking into something in New Orleans and he wanted to meet with her to tell her something. Thea thought twice about meeting Oliver, after he had kept the secret of her father from him she couldn’t imagine he would tell her much, maybe he was going to try and apologise, or maybe there really was something he needed to tell her.
Having arrived in New Orleans and settled into small hotel Thea glanced at the clock and rushed out into Bourbon Street quickly realising that she was an hour late for meeting her brother. Heading across the street when she spotted Rousseau’s Bar she walked slowly inside, glancing around the bar, sighing when there was no sign of Oliver. Walking over to the bar, she tilted her head to the side as the blonde haired woman who was working came towards her, ordering herself a vodka, she glanced around studying the clientele, wondering if any of them were approachable, she wanted to ask if anyone had seen her brother, though decided that the woman serving might be the best one to ask. Having asked her when she returned with vodka, the blonde pointed out a young man sitting at a table alone, stating that her brother had been talking to him.
Thea sipped on her vodka as she studied the young man, he had dark blonde hair tied back loosely, he was wearing a dark t-shirt under a leather jacket and her eye was drawn to a ring that adorned one of his fingers, it looked like it could be a family crest or something, though she couldn’t tell much from where she was sat. Drinking down the remainder of the vodka, she ordered another before moving off of her stool and crossing the bar, pulling out the chair opposite the young man and taking a seat as he looked at her somewhat curiously “Sorry to bother you, the woman working told me that my brother was sitting with you, i am late to meet him, you wouldn’t happen to know where he went would you?” she asked, growing impatient as a long silence filled the air “Oliver Queen, do you know where he went?” she snapped impatiently.

She was refusing to speak to him, she didn’t need him anymore, she didn’t need anyone anymore which had prompted her new life rule of to live every day as it came and that was why she packed a small bag of belongings and headed towards Louisiana, she had always wanted to visit New Orleans, it was meant to be this vibrant city, parties every night and tales of witches and the supernatural through the daytime. She had managed to get her father to purchase a car for her on their travels so spent several hours driving from Texas where she had said goodbye to her father. Finally arriving in Louisiana, she stopped off for snacks and a drink before driving towards New Orleans, pulling up in a side street as she found the place she had heard so much about – Bourbon Street, the party street.
Having left the car and walked through the side streets to Bourbon Street she glanced up and down, her eyes moving to the sun that was setting in the sky, the evening was approaching, tilting her head to the side she spotted a bar named Rousseau’s, perfect place to start and hopefully to find out where she might find a hotel to stay in while she was here, her father had supplied her with enough money to see her through. As her heels clicked along the pavement she crossed the street, pushing open the bar door and walking straight to the bar, placing her bag down at the side of her as she ordered herself a glass of wine from the blonde female who was working the bar.
Taking a seat on the stool, Thea took small sips of her wine as she glanced around the bar, it was beginning to fill up with clientele, a young blonde came and sat to the side of her, exchanging limited small talk with the girl behind the bar before catching Thea looking at her. Asking her if there was something she could help her with in a slight sarcastic tone Thea nodded slightly “Actually there is, i have just arrived here in New Orleans and it looks like you are a native around here, do you know of any decent hotels in the area? Failing that anywhere that could put me up for a few days, maybe longer?” she asked, tilting her head to the side as the blonde seemed to be looking at an older man who was sat at a table, they seemed to be having some sort of silent conversation. Thea sighed a little, smiling sweetly as the blondes attention turned back to her “Was that a yes then?” she asked, continuing to sip on her wine as she kept her eyes on the blonde at her side.

“Sorry for the question, my brother was here for a while and it certainly isn’t as he described, what happened to the bar?” she asked with a soft voice, tilting her head once more as she spoke “I’m Thea Queen, my brother Oliver, perhaps you met him when he was here?” she asked, hopeful that the girl would maybe tell her something, anything even.

Climbing out slowly she smiled to herself as the warm breeze hit her face, tilting her head towards the extremely handsome man that had just walked past her car and entered the bar, even more of a reason to check out the local. Pushing the door open slowly and walking inside, she glanced around looking at the various customers sitting around, noticing the man who had passed her sitting upon a stool at the bar. Walking towards the bar confidently she ordered herself a glass of wine and took the stool next to the dark haired blue eyed man, casting a soft smile in his direction as he looked towards her.
“You look like someone that might know his way around this town, i am just passing through, do you know of any guest houses here? Just need somewhere to stay for a couple of days” she asked tilting her head to look in his direction. She wondered whether she should mention her family’s previous business here in the town but she decided to wait until she knew how long she was going to stick around for. “Sorry, i should introduce myself, I’m Thea Queen” she stated softly looking at him curiously.

She wasn’t sure how much time had passed until she felt her eyes flicker open slowly, staring up at the sky as she ran her hands over the ground, sitting up slowly as she looked towards the dark haired man who seemed to have cleaned himself up from when she had first set eyes on him.
Raising her hands to her neck slowly she felt a wet patch and some pain, moving her hand back her eyes widened a little as she saw the blood over her fingers, tilting her head towards the man as he turned and looked at her apologising but stating that it was a necessity that had to be done to make sure she wasn’t a traveller, Thea had no idea what the man was on about and thought he was totally delusional. “A traveller? Well if you are meaning a visitor from another state then yes i am” she snapped before getting to her feet leaning against a tree as she felt a little dizziness. “What have you done to me? Why am i bleeding? What are you?” she snapped out the questions in quick succession hoping for any sort of answer from him.

Someone New || Thea & Matt
Following the road until she came to what she presumed was the town centre she pulled her car up in a space and stepped out of the car, welcoming the chance to stretch her legs after the drive. Looking around at the various little shops her eyes were drawn to another building that was in the middle of what looked like renovations, the building itself looked like there had been some sort of fire or explosion.
Closing the car door and walking towards the building she tilted her head to the side watching a young blonde haired man talking to what looked like a building constructor before walking in her direction. Looking into the young man’s blue eyes she smiled softly motioning towards the building “What happened there?” she asked, curious as to what could have caused the building to turn out looking the way it did also presuming the young man had something to do with the building as he was the one who had been discussing things with the builder type.
As he stated that there had been an explosion caused by some electrical fault she nodded softly before questioning him more “Do you work there?” she asked, still not knowing what there was actually supposed to be, from the guttering of the building she couldn’t tell if it was a shop or something else. The young man looked at her curiously with a hint of distrust in his eyes which he quickly tried to cover “Sorry, i am just visiting, my father and brother both spoke of this town, we had a family business here at one time and i was curious to see some of my family history, i don’t have a lot of them left you see” she stated quickly, giving her reason for being in town and hopefully gaining some trust from the young man.

Tick Of Time || Thea & Elijah
Reaching the city pretty quickly Thea checked into the little hotel she had booked for the time being and freshened up before glancing at her phone once more, Oliver had asked her to meet him in Rousseau’s Bar which was situated on Bourbon Street. Leaving her room and heading out onto the street Thea walked through the crowds that were now forming, the night had just settled and she had heard that New Orleans was party central at night. Glancing around she gasped a little as she saw people running and jumping from great heights, it was a lot more than she had expected. Hovering outside the door of Rousseau’s as she found it she took a deep breath and walked inside, her eyes moving over the people that were sat at tables to the bar, Oliver wasn’t here, great she was early or he was late.
Moving over to the bar she took a seat and waited for the blonde female bartender to come towards her, asking for a vodka and looking around once more. Taking her phone out she dialled her brother’s number which went straight through to voicemail, as the bartender returned with her drink she asked her if she had seen Oliver, giving her a full description. Sighing as she said she hadn’t seen anyone Thea once again glanced at her phone before feeling a presence next to her, glancing to her side she met the eyes of a fair haired man, he was fairly attractive though there was a feeling she got from him that told her he wasn’t all that he seemed. As he introduced himself as Klaus Mikaelson and spoke briefly to the bartender he turned back to her and told her that she needed to go with him.
Looking towards him she shook her head fiercely “Oh no, i don’t need to go anywhere, i don’t know you so what makes you think i will just come with you?” she snapped before continuing “Besides i have to meet my brother, that’s who i am waiting for” she stated, her voice softening a little as Klaus looked towards her telling her that he knew where her brother was and she had to come with him. Thea glanced around, realising that there were a couple of people guarding the door and if she tried to run she wouldn’t get very far, swallowing down the vodka quickly she turned her eyes back onto Klaus “Looks like i don’t have a choice do i, you better not have hurt my brother” she stated with a slight frown as she got to her feet and was led out of the bar by Klaus, not knowing where she was going or what to expect.
Having left the bar with Klaus and followed him she had took several small steps before turning into what seemed to be a compound of some sort, a home inside grounds that had a small courtyard inside, she couldn’t see Oliver anywhere though she felt her eyes rest on another man who was sat at a table, dressed in a suit, very smart compared to Klaus who had on jeans and a short sleeved top. As Klaus stated that the man was his brother Elijah and told her to sit with him, she watched curiously as Klaus disappeared before turning her eyes back on to Elijah. “He told me my brother was here and i had to come with him, do you know where Oliver is?” she asked rather sharply.

Walking over to the bar, she tilted her head to the side and caught the eye of another female who was sitting alone, earphones around her neck whilst she seemed to be writing in a notebook. Smiling softly towards the young girl who looked around her own age, she ordered herself a vodka from the female bartender before pulling out a stool and taking the seat.
Looking back towards the young girl she waited till she caught her attention so that she could speak to her “Sorry to interrupt your writing” she said softly as the young girl looked at her whilst placing her pen down on the pad “I am supposed to be meeting my brother in here, i am so late though, you didn’t happen to notice a man in here at all did you? He would have been dressed in a suit, short hair” she paused momentarily before pulling her phone out and scrolling through to a picture of Oliver “That’s him” she stated softly “Have you seen him in here at all?” she asked, hoping someone had seen her brother, she was beginning to worry a little with him not being here especially as he had stated that it was important he see her.

Heading to the bar and ordering herself a vodka from the blonde female who was working behind the bar before walking over to her brothers table, taking the seat across from him she kept her expression clear as he said that he was glad she had come. “Trust me Oliver i was in two minds whether to or not. Now that you have me here and my attention, what is it that you needed to tell me so urgently that couldn’t be done over the phone?” she asked, glancing around and feeling a little unsettled as she saw several eyes on the two of them. “Do you get the feeling we are being watched?” she asked with a soft laugh, something that was obvious, though Oliver was choosing to ignore it for the moment.
