While playing 'Fall Guys', one of the PC games I enjoy the most, I was wondering what would happen if I had skins related to my favorite animes of all time. Amazing costumes inspired by many famous anime characters have been released in the game, but just imagining the skin of Kero-chan, the guardian of the sun from Card Captor Sakura, excited me like you couldn't imagine. This was my excuse to immerse myself in the world of 3D illustration and I think the result was more than great. FYI, I was inspired by the final soundtrack of the first season of CCS, 'Groovy'. Jugando 'Fall Guys', uno de los pc games que más disfruto, me preguntaba que pasaría si tuviera skins basada en mis animes favoritos. En el juego se han lanzado muchos costumes inspirados en otros famosos animes, pero el solo imaginar una skin de Kero-chan, el guardian del Sol de Card Captor Sakura, me emocionaba como no se pueden imaginar. Esa fue mi excusa para sumergirme en el mundo del 3D y creo que el resultado quedó más que genial. FYI, me inspiré en el ending de la primera temporada de CCS, Groovy.

2022 has been a year full of memories and experiences to remember. I had the opportunity to officially take an illustration course and I loved it.

I learned several traditional drawing techniques but this is one of my favorite works of art because it combines watercolors and Pointillism with stylographers' ink. I called it "El retrato del Koi (The Koi Portrait)" and it represents a couple of Japanese carps.

Do you know that koi fish symbolize wealth, prosperity, love, successful career and good fortune? Each variety is associated with one of those values.

2022 ha sido un año lleno de recuerdos y experiencias para recordar.

Tuve la oportunidad de tomar oficialmente un curso de ilustración y solo puedo decir que me encantó.

Aprendí varias técnicas tradicionales de dibujo, pero entre mis trabajos, este es de mis favoritos porque combina acuarelas y puntillismo con tinta de estilógrafos. Lo nombré "El retrato del Koi" y representa un par de carpas japonesas.

¿Sabían que los peces koi simbolizan riqueza, prosperidad, amor, carrera exitosa y buena fortuna? Cada variedad está asociada a uno de esos valores.

Espero que a todos les guste esta ilustración tanto como a mi ^^

A few months ago I was wondering how my cats would look if they were hoomans or at least main characters of a webtoon/manga/anime. Every cat no only has different features, but also their own personality, so it was a challenge to draw something that could represent each of them. I think the result is pretty good though.

Title: Cat folk

Models: Luna, Jackson, Bowie and Maruja.

I drew a portrait of Jackson last time but I've not drawn the others so let's start describing them:

L = Luna is a big white cat with some golden highlights. Do you remember cat Serafina from "The Princess and the pauper", that Barbie movie? She's exactly like her but with really beautiful blue eyes and a slight eating disorder. Ok, just kidding but Luna literally was born to eat and to moan for food.

J = Jackson is a handsome and mischievous green-eyed black cat with a moon-shaped chest spot. He also loves to eat but not as much as he loves to annoy people. Incredibly everyone-pampered but cute af.

B = Bowie is a slim white cat with heterochromia. The young one of the cat folk but still kinda shy. Extremely catching eyes but barely seen because he only sleeps all day.

M = Maruja was a marble gray cat with amazing blue eyes like the ocean. The oldest and the most shy. Unfortunately she dissappeared a month ago and never came back. We were really sad then but still remember her. Now we are taking extremely care of the others.

Hace unos meses me preguntaba cómo se vería mis gatos si fueran humanos o al menos protagonistas de un webtoon/anime/manga. Cada gato no solo tiene diferentes características sino también distinta personalidad por lo que fue un desafío ilustrar algo que represente a cada uno. El resultado es bastante decente, creo.

Título: Tribu gatuna

Modelos: Luna, Jackson, Bowie y Maruja.

Había dibujado a Jackson pero no a los demás por lo que empezaré describiéndolos para que se hagan una idea de cómo son:

L = Luna es una enorme gata blanca con reflejos dorados. ¿Recuerdan a la gata Serafina de la película de Barbie “La princesa y la plebeya”? Luna es idéntica solo que con lindos ojos azules y un ligero trastorno alimenticio. Ok, lo último es chiste pero la gata nació literalmente para comer y gritar por comida.

J = Jackson es un guapo y travieso gato negro con una mancha en forma de luna sobre el pecho. También ama comer pero no tanto como joder molestar a los demás. Increíblemente mimado y consentido por todos pero igual de adorable.

B = Bowie es un flacucho gato blanco con heterocromía. El más joven de la tribu gatuna pero algo huraño. Tiene unos ojos extremadamente cautivadores pero rara vez apreciados porque solo duerme todo el día.

M = Maruja era una gata marmoleada gris con ojos tan azules como el océano. La mayor de todos y la más arisca. Desafortunadamente desapareció hace un mes y nunca regresó. Episodio triste pero aún la recordamos con cariño. Ahora estamos cuidando más a los otros.

"Existe un relato oriental que cuenta la historia del conejo que vive en la luna. El nombre del conejo varía según el país asiático pero la esencia de la historia es casi la misma. En China y Corea se trata de un conejo blanco que ablanda pastel de arroz bajo la sombra de árboles de bambú"- terminó de leer el Príncipe Conejo lanzando un suspiro. -¿Escuchaste, Ro? Los conejos somos populares en Asia.- comentó con orgullo el esponjoso ser alzando ligeramente los ojos sobre el libro que sostenía en las pequeñas patitas. Estaba casi seguro de que Ro, una preciosa rosa roja y su compañera de aventuras, le prestaba atención aún dentro de su cristal protector. -Deberíamos visitar Corea, Ro. Entonces podremos decirles que los conejos no solo tenemos como pasatiempo cocinar, sino también leer.- dijo con autosuficiencia. Lanzó un vistazo al cielo y no pudo evitar sonreír. Sol, la estrella fugaz con nombre del astro rey, había llegado más temprano que de costumbre. Otro intercambio de emocionantes historias por el universo comenzaría esa noche.

Lo hice de nuevo. Otro retrato como regalo especial para una querida amiga mía. También escribí una pequeña historia como descripción. Desearía poder dibujar algo cada día o cada semana pero he estado muy ocupada, además mis habilidades en el dibujo mejoran lentito... pero seguro, creo.

Something curious about Korea.

It’s really common to find free water expender machines in almost every restaurant and public places across the country. Korean people have a habit of drinking water and insane amounts of coffee, so you can choose between hot or cold water from these machines to make a drink or just to refill your bottle.

The most interesting thing of this drinking water culture is that if you don’t have a bottle or a paper cup, you can take a tiny special paper bag to drink a sip of liquid. It doesn’t leak, it’s -apparently- recyclable and some of them have cute messages like in the picture (행복한 하루 되세요 = Have a happy day).

A side note: Never -really NEVER- try to drink water straight from the sink in Korea if you don’t want get a really bad stomach ache, it has a different composition from abroad so it's not drinkable.

Ahora algo curioso sobre Corea del Sur.

Es realmente común encontrar máquinas expendedoras de agua gratis en casi todos los restaurantes y espacios públicos de todo el país. Los coreanos tienen bien establecido el hábito de beber agua y tomar café en cantidades insanas, por lo que puedes elegir entre agua fría y caliente de estas modernas máquinas para prepararte una bebida o solo para rellenar tu botella.

Lo más interesante de esta cultura del agua potable es que si no encuentras un vaso de papel o no llevas una botella, puedes servirte en una pequeña bolsa de papel especial para darle un sorbo al líquido elemento. No filtra, es -aparentemente- reciclable y muchas de ellas tienen bonitos mensajes como en la foto (행복한 하루 되세요 = Qué tengas un feliz día).

Una nota extra: Nunca -realmente NUNCA- bebas agua directamente del grifo/fregadero en Corea, a menos que quieras padecer un horrible dolor de estómago, tiene una composición distinta al agua del extranjero, por lo que no es potable.

Something about Korea I will never forget.

One of my favorite Korean meals was a Vanilla Milk (바닐라맛 우유) and a Sam Kimbap (삼김밥).

It’s really common for university students to eat a similar combination in a convenience store (편의점). It’s cheap and tastes so good. I’ve only tried strawberry, banana, chocolate and vanilla flavor but there’re so many types of milk that I can’t even remember. The most shocking to me was sweet potato flavor milk.

About Kimbap, you can find almost every Korean food in this three-side-seaweed-covered rice ball. Just be careful when you open it if you don't want to make a mess in the table.

Algo que nunca olvidaré sobre Corea del Sur.

Una de mis comidas coreanas favoritas fue la leche de plátano (바닐라맛 우유) y un triángulo de Kimbap (삼김밥) .

Es realmente común para los estudiantes universitarios consumir una combinación similar en las tiendas de conveniencia (편의점). Es rico y barato. Yo solo he probado la leche de fresa, de plátano, de chocolate y de vainilla pero hay tantos otros sabores que ya ni recuerdo. El más increíble que encontré fue la que sabe a camote o papa dulce.

Sobre el Kimbap, puedes encontrar cualquier platillo coreano hecho un triángulo de arroz con alga. Solo sé cuidadoso cuando lo abras si no quieres hacer un botadero en la mesa.
