I was very disappointed in this episode. I've really struggled with an eating disorder over the last two years, and seeing them use the evil fat dude trope so blatantly was really disappointing. not to mention he's disabled too.
It's just not a very realistic display of inequality and does nothing but enforce the stereotype for fat people as a shorthand for slimy, gluttonous and rich, when in reality the rich usually don't blatantly look evil, in fact they got the money to look as good as they want to.
I'd maybe forgive it if the episode weren't so basic too. "oppressed person meets outsider, at first betrays them, before learning of their oppression and fighting the opressor" it's simply been done better before, including in other star wars episodes.
just fyi the episode doesn't turn me away from tbb in general and it's not insanely offensive to me or anything, I'm just in a really bad headspace about my weight and I really didn't need this today.
