Zeus Cheats Guide and Notes (Poseidon and Hades Version)

Okay this battle has a lot of cheats so please bear with me. The battle is 4 bosses; Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, and Cronus. Only Cronus does not cheat. That being said, on to the guide!

IMPORTANT NOTE: There are (as far as I know) 2 versions of this battle. You’ll get one or the other. One has Poseidon and Hades and the other has Ares and Apollo. The only constants are Zeus and Cronus. I’ll make additional notes about those 2 and put them in a separate guide once I have their cheats.

Zeus’ Cheats

If you attack Zeus this will trigger both Healing Current and Wild Bolt on the caster. If a spell leaves a DOT (Damage Over Time) the DOT will not continuously trigger this.

It was observed that Zeus would polymorph into a Minotaur and attack the player, damaging and then stunning for 1 round. This happened when I put a curse trap on him however when I did it again it did not trigger.

Poseidon’s Cheats

Casting an aura (Star Magic) will trigger Poseidon to cast a 50% Tower Shield on YOU. Yes you read that right; a cheat that helps us out.

If you blade this will trigger Poseidon to polymorph into a Poseidon themed Kraken that will attack the player who was targeted with the blades, damaging and removing all blades on said player so tri-blades will not get around this.

Hades’ Cheats

Healing will trigger Hades to polymorph into a wraith and attack the player who cast the healing spell, damaging and leaving a -90% healing debuff. And yes, pets will trigger this.

If another boss K.O.’s a player then Hades will give that boss 3 pips.

Multiple Boss Cheats

These are a few cheats that involve more than one boss and aren’t triggered by the player exactly.

At the very start of the battle, Hades and Poseidon will both attack using their natural attacks (first Hades then Poseidon). This will then be followed by an AOE Chimera (only the Death head attacks) that will leave a Virulent Plague (-45% damage debuff to all). This happens again after so many rounds. I wasn’t able to get an exact number but it was something like 5 to 6. Please note: eventually the natural attacks of the bosses change to altered versions. Hades’ becomes the AOE Chimera, Poseidon’s becomes a tempest that steals pips giving him 4 additional ones, and Zeus’ becomes an Earthquake. ALSO Poseidon’s natural attack has another form which is an AOE Ice shark (does about 500-700 damage depending on your resist).

Occasionally Zeus will natural attack (regular) which will put up a Darkwind global, followed by Poseidon’s natural attack (tempest version), and at one point there was an AOE Hydra (only Storm Head attacks) however this did not hold consistently. This chain attack also seemed to be after every so round but again I don’t have an exact number. It was however, a longer amount of time than the Hades/Poseidon duo attack.

After one of the Olympians is defeated, Zeus will begin to attack at the beginning of every turn with his natural attack (earthquake version). After Zeus is defeated Poseidon will take his place with his natural attack (tempest version).

Notes and Advise

Stating the obvious but this battle is more complex compared to the Rattlebones fight. All 4 bosses have shadow magic but only use it for the shadow enhanced spells. Shadow enhanced spells witnessed include: Abominable Weaver, Gaze of Fate, Call of Khrulhu, and Mystic Colossus. Zeus seemed to be fond of using Mystic Colossus just as Cronus was fond of using Gaze of Fate. Feints did not appear to trigger anything nor did shields.

I would suggest getting rid of Hades first so that you can heal. Next is Zeus to stop the Earthquake, then Poseidon so you can blade, and lastly Cronus who isn’t a great threat. Cleanse are recommended for the AOE Chimera’s Virulent Plague.

Drops

Very important note (bug) about drops: I was the one to deliver the final blow on the last boss. I received no end dialog and NO DROPS. There was no green text in the chat box, and no bubble things on the left side of the screen. The battle just ended. My friend however did get the dialog and her drops which I will be posting below. This is obviously a bug (which I reported) and will hopefully be fixed soon. I do not know if this will happen every time. This is of course in the test realm currently and once it’s fixed I will remove this note from the guide.
