That title is so long! Please tag all works for this event as "Danger days: year 10" because the long title is a joke.

‘I love you’ isn’t said much in the Zones. Scared of the phrases they once saw written on ominous city Valentine cards, killjoys prefer to express love without words.
You know a killjoy loves you when they cover you in a firefight. They silently fix your mask when you aren’t feeling too hot. They take the powerpup instead of the canned beans because they know you can’t stomach it. They let you mourn by the mailbox without asking ‘who?’.
Love is most potent when there’s no world to prove it to.

Since Battery City canonically is only 4 miles in radius I would like to throw this hc out here. So what if everything to the West of the LA River was BL/ind controlled? The BL/ind zones could have things like pipelines, dumps, storage areas, patrol routes, oil fields, etc. etc. And then the actual City is mainly just BL/ind headquarters and housing units !! It would also explain why we only see the East side of the zones.
