JUST KIDDING, today we're announcing that from now on, Red and Hema have switched gem types. Hema is now Red's Pink Pearl, and Red is the smallest Hematite of the batch. Not that either of them seems to mind :)

! IMPORTANT UPDATES !
Hey! If you're actively following The Harvester, this post is important to read in its entirety.
1: With people talking about about recent events, many people are looking for Tumblr alts. While we don't think Tumblr is going anywhere yet, we do know we should have an alternative in case it goes down. Eventually, we plan to have the Discord server back up. However, we do still want a public page for people who lurk.
Introducing TH's COHOST page!
You do not have to be logged in to view anything, so it works as an account-free way to view TH. It will take a long while to queue up the posts that already exist here, but we hope in time it will be a working mirror of the Tumblr blog.
2: We've updated the content warning document, apologies for it taking a few chapters to get around to it. We may have marked them incorrectly- apologies if we did!
We hope y'all are doing as well as you can be, and that you continue to enjoy the story. We don't plan on moving anywhere until tumblr explodes, so don't worry about us up and disappearing. However, you should bookmark the AO3 or Cohost if you really want to keep track of the story / art, respectively.

8 Year Anniversary + Updates + Shameless Plug
Dang guys- 8 years since TH debuted here on Tumblr and on AO3.
There have been ups and downs, and times of plenty and times of quiet. And some of you have been here through all of it. And for that, we want to thank you guys.
TH exists for CZ and VT first and foremost, but having our little community has always made things a little brighter. We're so happy that this funky little roleplay found an audience that enjoys it as much as we do. Every comment we get, or theories we see people rambling about, make sharing our stories more fun. <3
2023 was very spotty, and it was a pretty traumatic year for us. Some pretty major stuff happened, and we were forced to move cross-country much sooner than we planned. But, we're now settled into our new place in hopes that we'll be working on making our lives better.
We can't know for sure if we'll be posting chapters more frequently in 2024, BUT, we do want to assure people that our quiet never means the story is abandoned. We'll let everyone know if we ever plan on retiring it.
We still have 2.5 arcs finished and ready to post at our own pace- we just never want the public to fully catch up where we are, so you guys don't have to wait even /longer/ than you already do for new chapters.
Anyways- that's all the updates for now! And now for a shameless plug.
If you like The Harvester and have any interest in reading more of CZ or VT's work- there's this tasty little nugget VT is working on called "Find Your Wings"! It's a story about a size-shifting """Super Hero""" [if you can call him that] that is struggling to find a way to exist in a city where his powers are against the law. None of his friends know about his secret life of fighting storm giants to protect the city- and he intends to keep it that way. But how long can that last?
It's a story with strong LGBT+ themes, and talks about finding your place in the world and how important a support system is, all while being wrapped up in a flashy, original fantasy setting with elves, giants, dragons, and all sorts of other creatures.
The tumblr is here if you're interested in following its development! It is not a replacement for The Harvester, but rather, is being developed alongside it in VT's free time. It will be a physical and digitally released set of 2-3 actual books, but will also be posted chapter-by-chapter like TH once the first book is done.
Okay shameless plug time done.

Hey guys.
The chapter hasn't been forgotten, we promise.
But a lot has happened lately. We have to move cross-country much earlier than planned [December instead of March/April], and CZ's cat of 18 years, Tigger, passed away yesterday. We're both in mourning right now, and with the move coming up in December, it will be a while longer until the new chapter gets put up. We're very sorry this year has been so sparse with updates. Life's been very hectic and hard.
Thank you so much for sticking with us. We're so glad to have such a patient and understanding community, and we hope you guys will enjoy the chapters once we finally get around to updating regularly again.

Discord Renewal if Tumblr seems less viable in the future:
Just letting everyone know that we've seen people freaking out that tumblr's on its way out but like??? We don't think this site is going anywhere anytime soon lol.
BUT, should it ever explode, we'll be using Discord as the backup for this blog! We had a discord a while back, but due to some issues and general lack of activity, we retired it. But should tumblr ever not be viable in the future, we'll be bringing it back!
Just thought we'd let y'all know so there were no worries about TH's blog disappearing.

there are two things that i remember randomly that are funny every time. one is remembering that i can legally perform wedding ceremonies. the second is that sometimes when i get a grade back i have the thought of “is this a better grade than Mago would’ve gotten”

TBH any score you get is probably better than Mago, cuz if her performance during old lectures abt her powers is anything to go by, she'd HATE school and flunk out of everything LMAO
And yeahhh. College is something to have a very 'neurotypical response' to. Not maddening at all. (sarcasm) (college flashbacks)
We're actually doing pretty well! Life's been VERY busy but pretty normal, and we're doing a lot of prep work to move cross-country next spring! September was absolutely insane with work and fundraising, and October has been a lot of laying back and trying to recover. Gonna do some fun festivities for Halloween/TH's 8th birthday, like trunk-or-treat <3
We haven't forgotten the new chapter, but VT has been so busy that he hasn't been able to squeeze in checking the chapter over and making the promo he wants to. We hope everyone's doing as well as they can be, and that October treats you all well!
