Right off the bat: they both get points for being more or less legible as family trees, bottom-up

The second tree is the most standard one here. It looks to be a light redraw of Rosa's, adding in non-related but important characters. No Daisy Conundrum here, same as the Rosa tree! In my personal favorite touch of both this and the Rosa tree, tho, is that the tree is actually multiple entwined trees; such a fun way to handle how large the duck family is.

Family Tree 2 Takeaway--Well-structured, well thought out, to be expected from the Don Rosa Tree. However that also means there's just not much to say; it is simply the Rosa tree with some reformatting + design tweaks (and I do love Della in this one). Still fun to look at! I do like it.

The first one is a nice middle ground to the clean iconic Rosa tree and the scattered, pulled-out-of-nowhere-just-for-the-plot family trees from one shot stories, visually, at least. Of course it is, like the rosa tree more legible as a family tree than the previous ones. However, where the Rosa tree splits the McDucks, Ducks, and Coots into 3 different trees that grow into each other, this one tried to squeeze everything onto one page (presumably out of necessity from allotted space, as it is the back cover) similar spacing issues are the main cause of this one's chaos, i think. So many weaving arrows, and so many text boxes without pictures, presumably in the interest of saving space. Granted I can't read the text but what's really getting to me is some of the arrows pointing down??? I like Abner's snazzy relative in the hat and vest 😂. The Daisy Conundrum returns!!! Who is this golfer looking dude and why is he the first character my eyes go to instead of Donald or the triplets??? Why is Gus on a limb without a connecting line even to Gladstone???? At least Ludwig gets an arrow!

First Tree Takeaway: 5/10 on the chaos scale; I can clearly see what they were going for, and it isnt chaos, but lack of space makes the execution chaotic
