Andrew didn’t budge beneath his weight. He was something solid to lean against, something violent and fierce and unmoving. Neil couldn’t remember what it felt like to have someone hold him up. It was terrifying and liberating all at once. His life was out of his control now; he was giving it to Andrew and hoping Andrew would keep it safe.

andrew’s twin brother, often referred to as “the normal one”. aaron attends palmetto state university and plays exy as a backliner alongside matt. aaron’s relationship with andrew, is very complicated, as when aaron tried to get in touch, andrew was sent away to juvie. at this point, aaron gave up on his brother. the two later met as teens and did not connect at all.

allison reynolds is a dealer for the palmetto state foxes. she is a former heiress to the extremely wealthy reynolds family. after she chose to play exy instead of continuing the family business, she was disowned and cut off from her family fortune. allison is always immaculately dressed and primped. she is known for her haughty attitude and her on again/off again relationship with seth gordon.

@literatureladies mission 01: pride month — laila dermott, all for the game

At twenty-five minutes, the Foxes finally closed the gap. Laila was a nightmare in goal, but Kevin and Neil had an advantage few teams who faced the Trojans had: they had a nightmare in their own goal who they had to practice against daily. They’d spent all year trying to outsmart the best goalkeeper in the south. They didn’t have that much time to figure Laila out, but they didn’t need it. Laila’s defense was quickly falling apart in front of her and she couldn’t hold her goal alone. Kevin and Neil combined Fox and Raven footwork to break past the stumbling backliners and slammed goals home one after the other.

Truth is irrefutable and untainted by bias. Sunrise, Abram, death: these are truths.

“who needs the board’s permission?” allison said. “i’m going to buy it, because the board is too stingy. we deserve something obscenely expensive. matt, measure the bed of your truck. i need to know what i can fit before looking for the right piece.”

allison considered her manicure with lofty boredom. “it is.”

“Why does Andrew tolerate you, anyway? You two should hate each other on principle.” “Either you think too highly of me or not highly enough of Andrew,” Renee said, getting into the car. Neil slid into the passenger seat. Renee waited until they were buckled before turning the key in the ignition. “My faith keeps me and Andrew from always seeing eye-to-eye, but he and I understand each other.”
